The Audi Q5 Bolt Pattern

Every Audi Q5 ever built uses 5x112 with a 66.56mm hub bore. That covers the 8R (2009-2017) and the FY MLB Evo (2018-2025). 5x112 is the Volkswagen Group standard pattern, so the Q5 shares its bolt pattern with the A4, A5, A6, the SQ5, and a broad range of other modern Audi and VW vehicles. A 2010 Q5 wheel will bolt onto a 2024 Q5 in terms of stud pattern, but the offset and width windows are different between the two generations and we measure each separately.

Worth knowing: 5x112 is NOT the same as 5x114.3 used on most Japanese cars. The two patterns sit roughly 2mm apart and are not interchangeable. If you are cross-shopping wheels off a Honda, Lexus, or Toyota, the bolt pattern will not match the Q5.

Why the Q5 Generation and Brake Package Matter

The Q5 moved from the first-gen 8R to the second-gen FY in 2018, switching to the MLB Evo platform. The MLB Evo chassis carries more clearance behind the fender than the 8R did, which is why the FY accepts wider wheels (up to 10 inch in our measured window) where the 8R tops out at 9.5 inch. The diameter window stays 18 to 22 inch on both generations. The aftermarket on the Q5 is mostly square front and rear because Quattro AWD distributes power across both axles and the SUV body does not need a staggered rear setup for grip. Both generations carry standard Q5 brake hardware; the SQ5 performance variant has bigger calipers and tighter offset windows and we cover it on a separate hub.
