Audi RS6 Aftermarket Wheel Fitment

The Audi RS6 is the full performance version of the A6 executive line, sitting above the warm S6 in the family. The US market RS6 has gone through multiple generations: the C5 RS6 sedan (2003-2004), the C6 RS6 Avant (2008-2010, V10), the C7 RS6 Avant (2013-2018, V8), and the current C8 RS6 Avant (2021 and up, twin turbo V8 mild hybrid). Element Wheels catalogs the C5 RS6 and the current C8 RS6 Avant. The C6 and C7 RS6 Avant generations exist but are not in our active fitment catalog as of this writing. Owners of those cars should contact the fitment team for a verified recommendation. The RS6 shares the 5x112 bolt pattern with the rest of the modern Audi family, including the A6 and S6 on the same chassis, but it ships with much wider factory track, much more aggressive factory offsets, and a much larger Brembo brake package than either of those siblings. Pick your generation below for the fitment specs.

Find Your Audi RS6 Generation

The C5 RS6 (2003-2004) and the current C8 RS6 Avant (2021 and up) are the generations in our active fitment catalog. The C8 has two separate catalog rows because the Carbon Ceramic brake package and the Steel brake package run different minimum front offsets. The C6 RS6 Avant (2008-2010) and the C7 RS6 Avant (2013-2018) exist but are not in our active fitment catalog. Owners of those generations should contact the fitment team for a verified recommendation.

The Audi RS6 Bolt Pattern

Every modern RS6 uses 5x112 with M14x1.5 lug bolts. Audi runs bolts on its sedans and wagons, not studs and nuts the way most American and Asian platforms do. The lug bolt threads directly into the hub, the wheel sits between the head of the bolt and the hub face, and there is no lug stud to align the wheel before tightening. This makes a hub centric fit more important on an RS6 than on a stud and nut car. The bolt pattern has stayed 5x112 across the C5 (2003-2004), the C6 (2008-2010), the C7 (2013-2018), and the current C8 (2021 and up). The centerbore is 57.1mm on the C5 and 66.56mm on the C8. The C6 and C7 are 5x112 / 66.56mm (mirroring the A6 step that happened at the C7) but those generations are not in our active fitment catalog.

The 5x112 bolt pattern is shared with the rest of the modern Audi sedan family (A3, A4, A5, A6, A7, A8) and the VW Group passenger car siblings. It is NOT the same as the 5x130 pattern Audi used on the first generation Q7 SUV. The RS6 hub bore on the C8 matches the C8 A6 and C8 S6, but the RS6 brake package and the much wider RS6 factory track make the practical offset window far more aggressive than either of those cars. Compare against the rest of the Audi lineup at our Audi wheels and rims hub.

Why the RS6 Brake Package and Factory Track Determine Wheel Fit

The current C8 RS6 Avant ships with a massive factory front brake. The Steel Brake package uses a large multi piston caliper. The optional Carbon Ceramic Brakes are larger still. Front-larger-than-rear is the normal configuration on a full performance wagon because the front brake handles the bulk of the braking force. The practical consequence for wheels on the C8 is that the minimum aftermarket diameter sits at 21 inch and the minimum front offset is materially different between the Steel and Carbon Ceramic variants. That is why we list them as separate catalog rows. Quattro AWD is standard on every RS6. Drivetrain is not a fitment variable on the RS6 because every car is AWD.

The other thing the RS6 does differently from the A6 and S6 is run a much wider factory track with wider factory fenders. The C8 RS6 Avant runs a 10.5 inch wide wheel with a much lower front and rear offset than the A6 or S6. That is dramatically more aggressive than the A6 or S6 of the same chassis. An A6 or S6 wheel will bolt onto the RS6 hub but will sit visibly tucked inside the RS6 fenders because the RS6 fenders are wider. The C5 RS6 sedan (2003-2004) ran a more conservative factory setup with the smaller 57.1mm hub bore. For your exact aftermarket offset, use our Year/Make/Model search, browse the RS6 wheel gallery, or contact our team for a free fitment consultation.

Element Wheels Measured Aftermarket Fitment, Audi RS6

Publishable factory and wheel specs across the RS6 generations in our catalog:

  • C5 RS6 (2003-2004): 5x112 bolt pattern, 57.1mm hub bore, M14x1.5 lug bolts. Element aftermarket diameter range: 18 to 20 inch. Aftermarket width range: 8.5 to 9 inch. Square fitment. Sedan body (US market). Larger brake package than the C5 A6 and S6.
  • C8 RS6 Avant, Steel Brakes (2021 and up): 5x112 bolt pattern, 66.56mm hub bore, M14x1.5 lug bolts. Element aftermarket diameter range: 21 to 23 inch. Aftermarket width range: 10.5 inch square. Avant wagon body. Aggressive factory offsets in the single digits to mid teens range.
  • C8 RS6 Avant, Carbon Ceramic Brakes (2021 and up): 5x112 bolt pattern, 66.56mm hub bore, M14x1.5 lug bolts. Element aftermarket diameter range: 21 to 23 inch. Aftermarket width range: 10.5 inch square. Same body and diameter window as the Steel variant. The minimum front offset is slightly different to clear the larger CCB front caliper. We track this as its own catalog row for that reason.

Offset windows are tightly controlled on the RS6 because of the massive front brake (especially the CCB option) and the wide factory track. For your exact aftermarket offset, three options:

  • 1. Use our Year/Make/Model search to see wheels that fit your specific RS6 (each listing shows its own offset).
  • 2. Browse the RS6 wheel gallery for real-life builds with size, offset, and tire spec captions.
  • 3. Call or chat with our team for a free fitment consultation. If you have a C6 or C7 RS6 Avant (not in our active catalog), please reach out and we can walk you through a verified recommendation.

How We Confirm Fitment on Audi RS6 Wheels

Element Wheels measures fitment on the platforms we sell wheels for, including the C5 RS6 sedan and the current C8 RS6 Avant in both Steel Brake and Carbon Ceramic configurations. For the RS6 that means clearance from the wheel to the (wider RS6) fender, gap between the back of the wheel and the suspension, brake caliper height for the larger Brembo front package (split between Steel and CCB on the C8), hub bore confirmation (57.1mm on C5, 66.56mm on C8), lug bolt seat depth, and the aggressive factory offset window that is unique to the RS6. At our fitment facility in Chandler, Arizona, the Element Wheels team measures directly on the physical platforms we support. We don't pull specs from manufacturer sheets the way most retailers do.

Every wheel we recommend is backed by our Fitment Guarantee. If a wheel does not fit, we pick up the wheels and refund 100 percent. No risk to you.

Audi RS6 Wheels and Rims FAQ

What is the bolt pattern on an Audi RS6?

Every modern RS6 uses 5x112 with M14x1.5 lug bolts. The pattern has stayed the same across the C5 (2003-2004), the C6 (2008-2010), the C7 (2013-2018), and the current C8 (2021 and up). The same 5x112 pattern is shared with the rest of the modern Audi sedan family (A3, A4, A5, A6, A7, A8) and the VW Group passenger car siblings. Audi runs lug bolts, not studs and nuts, on the RS6.

What is the centerbore on an Audi RS6?

57.1mm on the C5 RS6 sedan (2003-2004). 66.56mm on the current C8 RS6 Avant (2021 and up). The C6 and C7 RS6 Avant generations also use 66.56mm but are not in our active catalog. A wheel bored to 66.56mm fits the C8 RS6 hub directly. A wheel bored to 57.1mm fits the C5 RS6 hub directly but will not fit over the larger 66.56mm hub on a C8.

Why are Steel and Carbon Ceramic C8 RS6 tracked as separate rows?

Because the front brake caliper on the Carbon Ceramic Brakes (CCB) option is physically larger than on the Steel Brake option, the minimum front offset that clears the CCB caliper is slightly different. The diameter window (21 to 23 inch), width (10.5 inch square), and rear offset window are the same between the two. The front offset is what splits them. We measure the two configurations separately so the wheel recommendation matches the brake package on your specific car. The Steel Brake option is the standard and the most common configuration we see on the C8 RS6.

Will A6 or S6 wheels fit my RS6?

Same chassis means same bolt pattern (5x112) and same hub bore on the C8 (66.56mm). The wheels bolt across. What does not always cross is brake clearance, fender clearance, and offset. The RS6 ships with a much larger Brembo brake package than the standard A6 or the warm S6, so an A6 or S6 wheel with a deeper offset can sit too close to the RS6 front caliper. The RS6 also runs much wider factory fenders than the A6 or S6, so a wheel sized for the A6 or S6 will sit visibly tucked inside the RS6 fender opening. Practical answer: an OEM or aftermarket A6 or S6 wheel will usually bolt up but the visual result will be very different and offset may be too aggressive for the CCB front caliper.

I have a C6 or C7 RS6 Avant. Can you help with fitment?

Yes. The C6 RS6 Avant (2008-2010, V10) and the C7 RS6 Avant (2013-2018, V8) are not in our active fitment catalog as of this writing, but the fitment team can walk you through a verified recommendation. Reach out by phone or chat. Both generations use 5x112 with M14x1.5 lug bolts and a 66.56mm hub bore (mirroring the A6 step that happened at the C7). Both also ship with significantly larger brakes than the A6 or S6 of the same chassis. The C6 RS6 Avant was never sold in the US market new, but US import examples are tracked through aftermarket fitment.

Are Audi RS6 wheels staggered?

Square. Both the C5 RS6 and the C8 RS6 Avant run square (non staggered) fitment from the factory. The Quattro AWD system benefits from the same wheel and tire size on every corner, and the factory configures the RS6 that way across the generations we catalog. The C8 RS6 ships with a 10.5 inch wide wheel square at all four corners. Aftermarket RS6 builds occasionally go staggered for the look, but a square setup is the recommended configuration and the one we measure against.

What is the largest wheel I can fit on an Audi RS6?

23 inch is the top of our measured aftermarket window on the C8 RS6 Avant. 21 inch is the practical floor on the C8 because of the massive Brembo front brake clearance. 22 inch is the most common C8 aftermarket choice because it matches the factory size on the higher trims and gives the wheel face enough room to clear the larger Carbon Ceramic Brake package when present. The C5 RS6 sedan tops out at 20 inch in our measured window.

Do I need hub centric rings on an Audi RS6?

Hub centric rings only when the aftermarket wheel has a centerbore larger than your factory hub (57.1mm on the C5, 66.56mm on the C6, C7, and C8). If your fitment needs rings, they'll be included with the order.

Get Audi RS6 Wheels Right the First Time

Pick your generation above to see wheels and rims that fit. We measure the C5 RS6 sedan and the current C8 RS6 Avant in our active catalog. We track the Steel Brakes and Carbon Ceramic Brakes as separate rows on the C8 because the front offset window is different between them, document the wide RS6 fender geometry that no A6 or S6 wheel will fill correctly, and route C6 and C7 RS6 Avant owners to the fitment team for a verified recommendation. Find your fit and start enjoying your build sooner.
