Buick LaCrosse Aftermarket Wheel Fitment
The Buick LaCrosse is Buick's full-size sedan and ran for three generations in North America from the 2005 through 2019 model years. The bolt pattern is the headline story across the lineup. The 1st gen (2005-2009) was built on the GM W-body platform and ran 5x115 with a 70.3mm hub bore. The 2nd gen (2010-2016) moved to the GM Epsilon II platform and the bolt pattern changed to 5x120 with a 66.9mm hub bore. The 3rd gen (2017-2019) moved again to the GM P2XX platform and the pattern reverted to 5x115 with a 70.3mm hub bore. So the 1st gen and the 3rd gen share a pattern, but the 2nd gen in the middle is different. Element Wheels tracks LaCrosse fitment by generation. The 2nd gen also supports optional staggered fitment in our catalog (wider rear width available), where the 1st gen and the 3rd gen are square front to rear by default. The LaCrosse was discontinued in North America after the 2019 model year.
Find Your Buick LaCrosse Generation
Pick your year range to see wheels and rims that fit your specific LaCrosse. The bolt pattern is 5x115 on the 1st gen, 5x120 on the 2nd gen, and 5x115 again on the 3rd gen. Confirm your year before ordering since 5x115 and 5x120 wheels do not safely interchange.
The Buick LaCrosse Bolt Pattern
The LaCrosse has used two bolt patterns across its three generations, and the pattern flips between adjacent generations. The 1st gen (2005-2009) ran 5x115 with a 70.3mm hub bore on the GM W-body platform. The 2nd gen (2010-2016) moved to 5x120 with a 66.9mm hub bore on the GM Epsilon II platform. The 3rd gen (2017-2019) reverted to 5x115 with a 70.3mm hub bore on the GM P2XX platform. The lug count is 5 across every generation. The thread pitch is M12x1.5 on the 1st gen and 3rd gen and M14x1.5 on the 2nd gen.
A 5x115 and 5x120 bolt circle differ by only 5mm. The patterns look close at the lug but the studs do not seat correctly across patterns, and wheels do not safely interchange. Force-fitting a 5x120 wheel onto a 5x115 hub (or the reverse) puts stress on the lug studs that will eventually fail. Confirm your year before ordering. Note that a 1st gen LaCrosse wheel and a 3rd gen LaCrosse wheel WILL share the same pattern (5x115), but the middle 2nd gen will not cross with either. Compare across the rest of the Buick lineup at our Buick wheels and rims hub.
Why the LaCrosse Bolt Pattern Flipped Between Generations
The LaCrosse rode on three different GM platforms across its three generations and each platform brought its own spec. The 1st gen LaCrosse shared the GM W-body chassis with the contemporary Buick Century and Regal, both 5x115 cars. The 2010 redesign moved the LaCrosse to the GM Epsilon II platform, which is the same architecture as the contemporary Buick Regal and the Chevrolet Malibu of that era, and the Epsilon II carries a 5x120 bolt pattern with a 66.9mm hub bore. The 2017 redesign moved the LaCrosse to the GM P2XX platform (the same platform used on the 2017 and up Chevrolet Impala), which runs 5x115 with a 70.3mm hub bore. The pattern flipped twice because the LaCrosse moved between three different platform families.
The 2nd gen LaCrosse (2010-2016) supports optional staggered fitment in our catalog. The square setup runs the same width front and rear. The staggered option pushes a wider tire on the rear with a slightly narrower wheel up front, which gives the 2nd gen a more aggressive stance without changing bolt pattern, hub bore, or offset window. The 1st gen and the 3rd gen are square front to rear by default in our catalog. The 2nd gen is the only LaCrosse generation where the optional stagger is part of the published fitment window.

How We Confirm Fitment on Buick LaCrosse Wheels
Element Wheels measures fitment on the platforms we sell wheels for, including all three LaCrosse generations. For the LaCrosse that means clearance from the wheel to the fender, gap between the back of the wheel and the suspension, brake caliper height, hub protrusion, lug seat depth, and turning clearance with the larger 20 to 22 inch wheel diameters installed on the 2nd and 3rd gen builds. The 2nd gen staggered window gets its own measurement pass on the rear axle. At our fitment facility in Chandler, Arizona, the Element Wheels team measures directly on the physical platforms we support. We don't pull specs from manufacturer sheets the way most retailers do.
Every wheel we recommend is backed by our Fitment Guarantee. If a wheel does not fit, we pick up the wheels and refund 100 percent. No risk to you.
Buick LaCrosse Wheels and Rims FAQ
What is the bolt pattern on a Buick LaCrosse?
It depends on the generation. The 2005-2009 1st gen ran 5x115 with a 70.3mm hub bore. The 2010-2016 2nd gen ran 5x120 with a 66.9mm hub bore. The 2017-2019 3rd gen ran 5x115 with a 70.3mm hub bore. The pattern flips between adjacent generations. Lug count is 5 across every LaCrosse.
Will my 1st gen LaCrosse wheels fit a 2nd gen LaCrosse?
No. The 1st gen runs 5x115 with a 70.3mm hub bore. The 2nd gen runs 5x120 with a 66.9mm hub bore. Different bolt pattern and different hub bore. Wheels do not cross between them. Force-fitting a 5x120 wheel onto a 5x115 hub will eventually fail at the lug studs.
Will 1st gen LaCrosse wheels fit a 3rd gen LaCrosse?
Bolt pattern matches. The 1st gen and the 3rd gen LaCrosse both run 5x115 with a 70.3mm hub bore. Bolt-on architecture matches. The 3rd gen accepts a larger diameter range (up to 22 inch versus 20 inch on the 1st gen) and a slightly different width range, so a 1st gen wheel will physically bolt up to a 3rd gen but the wheel size and offset have to work for the 3rd gen suspension geometry. The smaller 1st gen wheel sizes look proportionally small on the larger 3rd gen body. Measure before ordering.
Can the 2nd gen LaCrosse run a staggered setup?
Yes. The 2010-2016 LaCrosse supports optional staggered fitment in our catalog. The square setup is the default at 7 to 9 inch all corners. The staggered option pushes 8 to 10 inch on the rear with 7 to 9 inch on the front. Bolt pattern and hub bore stay 5x120 and 66.9mm across both setups. The 1st gen and the 3rd gen LaCrosse stay square only.
Is the Buick LaCrosse still in production?
Not in North America. The Buick LaCrosse was discontinued in NA after the 2019 model year. The LaCrosse continued in the Chinese market past 2019, but the NA-market LaCrosse covered by our catalog ended at the 2019 MY.
What is the factory wheel size on a Buick LaCrosse?
1st gen base trims typically shipped with 16 inch wheels and CXS Premium trims with 17 inch. 2nd gen base trims shipped with 17 or 18 inch and Premium / GS trims with 19 or 20 inch. 3rd gen base trims shipped with 18 inch and Premium / Sport Touring shipped with 19 or 20 inch. The bolt pattern and hub bore are identical across trims within each generation.
What is the largest wheel I can fit on a Buick LaCrosse?
Our measured aftermarket window tops at 22 inch diameter on the 2nd gen and the 3rd gen LaCrosse. The 1st gen tops at 20 inch. 20 inch is the most common upgrade target across the lineup. The 2nd gen at 22 inch on a staggered setup is the most aggressive build the catalog supports.
Do I need hub centric rings on a Buick LaCrosse?
Hub centric rings only when the aftermarket wheel has a centerbore larger than the LaCrosse's factory hub. The 1st gen and the 3rd gen LaCrosse are 70.3mm. The 2nd gen is 66.9mm. If your fitment needs rings, they'll be included with the order.
