The Cadillac SRX is the mid-size luxury crossover Cadillac sold from 2004 through 2016 across two distinct chassis generations. Production ended after the 2016 model year and Cadillac replaced the SRX with the XT5 for 2017 and forward. Element Wheels measures the SRX across both generations: the 1st gen Sigma SRX (2004-2009), a rear-drive-based luxury wagon built on the same Sigma platform as the original CTS sedan, and the 2nd gen Theta SRX (2010-2016), a front-drive-based crossover built on a transverse-engine Theta Premium platform. Both generations are six-lug platforms, not five-lug. The 1st gen SRX runs 6x115 with a 70.3mm hub bore. The 2nd gen SRX runs 6x120 with a 66.9mm hub bore. The two patterns sit 5mm apart at the lug spacing and the hub bore drops by 3.4mm at the same time, so wheels do not interchange across the 2009-to-2010 generation transition. The 2nd gen SRX shares its 6x120 / 66.9mm spec with the successor XT5 and the XT6, so a wheel built for a 2014 SRX can sometimes cross to a modern XT5.

Both are six-lug, but the patterns and hub bores are different and wheels do not bolt across the two generations.

The Cadillac SRX Bolt Pattern Changed Once

The SRX has run two bolt patterns across two generations. The 1st gen SRX (2004-2009), built on the GM Sigma platform with longitudinal engine layout and rear-drive-based architecture, uses 6x115 with a 70.3mm hub bore. The 2nd gen SRX (2010-2016), built on the transverse-engine Theta Premium platform with front-drive-based architecture, uses 6x120 with a 66.9mm hub bore. Both generations are six-lug platforms. The 2009-to-2010 transition changed almost everything underneath: the engine orientation flipped, the drivetrain layout moved from rear-biased to front-biased AWD, and the lug pattern and hub bore both shifted.

6x115 and 6x120 are 5mm apart at the lug spacing and they do not interchange. Lug count is identical at six on both generations, so confirm by year, not by visual count. The 1st gen 6x115 / 70.3mm spec is a rare GM lug pattern that does not appear on many other vehicles in our catalog. The 2nd gen 6x120 / 66.9mm spec is the same lug-and-hub combination Cadillac carried into the XT5 (2017 and up) and the XT6 (2020 and up), and the spec is shared with the platform-related Chevrolet Traverse (2nd gen 2018-2023 and 3rd gen 2024 and up), GMC Acadia (2017 and up), and Buick Enclave (2018 and up). A 2nd gen SRX wheel of the right offset and width can sometimes cross to a modern XT5 or XT6. The 1st gen SRX wheels do not cross to anything in the modern Cadillac SUV line because both the lug pattern and the hub bore are different.

Why SRX Generation Determines Wheel Fit

The two SRX generations are different cars. The 1st gen Sigma SRX is a longer, lower, rear-drive-based luxury wagon with three rows of seating and an available V8. It rides on the same Sigma chassis as the original CTS sedan and the STS sedan, which is why the lug pattern and hub bore on the 1st gen SRX mirror those of the 1st gen CTS Sedan and 1st gen STS at the chassis level (though the 1st gen SRX is six-lug instead of five-lug because of the heavier-vehicle load rating). The 2nd gen Theta SRX is shorter, taller, front-drive-based, two rows, and only ever offered with a V6. The 2nd gen ride is a more conventional crossover layout and the chassis is shared with the GMC Acadia and Buick Enclave of the same era.

Both SRX generations are square fitments front to rear in our catalog (FT=1, non-staggered). Same wheel width and same diameter on all four corners. AWD is available on both generations and the front-and-rear axle clearance requires the same wheel spec at every corner. Brake package on the 1st gen SRX is brake size 1 front and rear (smaller package, standard). Brake package on the 2nd gen SRX is brake size 2 front and brake size 1 rear (slightly larger front caliper on the newer chassis, smaller rear caliper, which is the normal configuration on a performance-leaning crossover). The front-larger-than-rear setup on the 2nd gen SRX is standard on this category of vehicle, not unusual.
