The Chevrolet Camaro ran from 1967 through 2002 across four generations, took an eight-year break, and came back in 2010 on a new GM platform for the 5th and 6th generations. The 2010 return changed the bolt pattern and the hub bore. Camaro aftermarket wheel and rim fitment splits cleanly into two eras: classic F-body (1967-2002) on the GM legacy 5x120.65 (5x4.75) pattern with a 70.3mm hub bore, and the modern Zeta and Alpha platform Camaros (2010-2025) on 5x120 with a 66.9mm hub bore. On the 5th and 6th gen, brake package and trim drive the fitment window more than the year. Standard brakes, Brembo, ZL1, ZL1 1LE, and SS 1LE all sit differently. The Chevrolet Camaro Bolt Pattern

From 1967 through 2002 every Camaro used 5x120.65, the GM legacy muscle pattern also written as 5x4.75 in imperial. Hub bore was 70.3mm across that entire run. The Pontiac Firebird and Trans Am ran the same 5x120.65 GM F-body pattern across the same year span, since the Firebird and Camaro shared the F-body chassis from launch through the 2002 retirement of both nameplates.

When the Camaro came back for 2010 on the GM Zeta platform, the bolt pattern shifted to 5x120 and the hub bore narrowed to 66.9mm. The 6th gen Camaro (2016-2025) on the GM Alpha platform kept the same 5x120 with 66.9mm hub bore. The 0.65mm difference between 5x120.65 and 5x120 is small enough that the patterns sound identical at a glance, but the studs do not line up and the two are NOT interchangeable. A 1990s F-body Camaro wheel will not bolt to a 2010 or newer Camaro. The 5x120 modern pattern is the same pitch BMW uses on E-chassis cars, but the hub bores and offset windows are different so a BMW wheel does not cross over without verification.

Why Brake Trim Drives Camaro Wheel Buying

The 2010 return reset more than the bolt pattern. The 5th and 6th gen Camaros ship with the brake caliper driving the inner clearance window, not the year. Standard brakes, the optional Brembo brake package, the ZL1, the ZL1 1LE, and the SS 1LE each have a slightly different clearance picture. We track these as separate fitments because a single spec-sheet number does not cover all five trims. The 1LE packages in particular run wider wheels with very tight offset margins around the front Brembo caliper.

On the 5th gen (2010-2015), the V6 base car ships without Brembo. SS ships with front Brembo. The ZL1 and the 1LE package layer on tighter clearance demands. On the 6th gen (2016-2025), LS and LT trims ship standard brakes by default unless the customer ticks the Brembo box. SS ships Brembo from the factory. The ZL1, the ZL1 1LE, and the SS 1LE all run Brembo with progressively wider wheel and tighter offset windows.

Each trim that ships a different brake package gets its own measurement, which is how we end up with separate fitments for V6, SS, ZL1, ZL1 1LE, and SS 1LE.
