The Chevrolet Tracker is the 1992-2004 compact SUV based on the Suzuki Sidekick chassis. Earlier years of the same truck were sold as the Geo Tracker (1989-1997) before the Geo brand was retired and Chevrolet picked up the nameplate. Element Wheels measures fitment on the 1992-2004 Tracker, which is the production window our catalog covers. The Tracker runs a 5x139.7 (5x5.5) bolt pattern with a 108.1mm hub bore and 12x1.25 lug thread. The 5x139.7 pattern is shared with the Jeep Wrangler and the older Dodge Ram 1500, but the Tracker's hub bore is much larger than either of those trucks. That means a Wrangler wheel and a Tracker wheel will look similar on the bolt pattern but the hub centric ring requirement is different. The fitment window holds the diameter at 15 to 20 inch and the width at 6.5 to 8.5 inch.

The 1992-2004 Chevrolet Tracker runs a 5x139.7 bolt pattern. 5x139.7 is the metric form of 5x5.5, which is the same lug pattern used by the Jeep Wrangler (TJ and earlier), the older Dodge Ram 1500, and several Suzuki small-truck platforms including the Sidekick and the Samurai. The Tracker hub bore is 108.1mm and the lug thread is 12x1.25.

Looks the same on the bolt pattern. Does not cross on the fitment. The Tracker's 108.1mm hub bore is significantly larger than the Wrangler's 71.5mm hub bore. A Wrangler wheel will bolt onto a Tracker hub, but the wheel will not be hub centric (the hole on the back of the wheel will be too small for the Tracker hub, or hung up with too much room around the hub if the bore goes the other way). Hub centric rings are almost always required on a Tracker fitment because the 108.1mm hub bore is unusually large and most aftermarket wheels in the 5x139.7 pattern are bored to match the smaller Wrangler hub. Tracker, Geo Tracker, and Suzuki Sidekick Are the Same Truck

The Chevrolet Tracker, the Geo Tracker, and the Suzuki Sidekick are the same chassis under three different badges. Suzuki built the truck. Geo (a GM sub-brand for captive imports) sold it in North America from 1989 to 1997. When Geo was wound down for the 1998 model year, Chevrolet absorbed the Tracker nameplate and continued selling the same truck through 2004. Across all three badges, the chassis, the bolt pattern (5x139.7), the hub bore (108.1mm), the front and rear suspension geometry, and the wheel well clearance are the same. A wheel that fits a 1995 Geo Tracker will fit a 2000 Chevrolet Tracker. A wheel that fits a 1998 Suzuki Sidekick will fit a 2002 Chevrolet Tracker. The Tracker is a body-on-frame compact 4x4. The factory ran 15 inch wheels in 6 inch width on most trims, with a higher trim 16 inch option. Our measured aftermarket window steps up to 20 inch diameter and 8.5 inch width, which is the practical upper bound on a small body-on-frame SUV before tire selection thins out and the ride starts to suffer.
