The Chrysler PT Cruiser was Chrysler's retro-styled compact hatch from 2001 through 2010. Every PT Cruiser, base or GT, hatch or convertible, sits on the Neon-derived PL platform underneath the retro bodywork and uses 5x100 with a 57.1mm hub bore. The PT Cruiser GT (offered 2003-2008) added a turbocharged 2.4L engine but kept the same wheel hub and bolt pattern. The PT Cruiser Convertible (offered 2005-2008) also shared the same wheel fitment box despite the body change. Chrysler retired the PT Cruiser after the 2010 model year and the nameplate is discontinued. The PT Cruiser ran on a single platform for its entire 2001-2010 production with one consistent bolt pattern. The aftermarket wheel window is the same across the base PT Cruiser, the PT Cruiser GT, and the PT Cruiser Convertible.

The Chrysler PT Cruiser Bolt Pattern

Every Chrysler PT Cruiser (2001-2010) uses 5x100 with a 57.1mm hub bore. The pattern is uniform across every trim, every model year, and both body styles (hatch and convertible). 5x100 is the Neon-derived PL platform pattern, also used on the same-era Dodge Neon and the Plymouth Neon. It is a tight 5-lug pattern with a small hub bore, which means PT Cruiser hubs sit further inside the wheel center than on larger-platform Chrysler products like the 300 or Pacifica.

The detail to watch on 5x100: it is sometimes confused with 5x100mm patterns on Volkswagen, Subaru, and Toyota platforms, which use the same pattern but often a different hub bore (Volkswagen 5x100 is typically 57.1mm and lines up with PT Cruiser, but Subaru 5x100 is 56.1mm and most Toyota 5x100 cars use 54.1mm). The bolt pattern crosses, but the hub centering does not. A wheel built for a Subaru 5x100 application will bolt to a PT Cruiser but the hub bore is undersized by 1mm and the wheel will not sit on the PT Cruiser hub correctly. PT Cruiser Aftermarket Wheel Sizes

The PT Cruiser ships from the factory on 15 inch and 16 inch wheels. The PT Cruiser GT bumped the factory size to 17 inch with a wider tire. The PT Cruiser Convertible kept the smaller factory fitment. None of the trims accept staggered fitment as a recommended setup. The PT Cruiser is front wheel drive and runs matching wheel and tire sizes on every corner. The 5x100 PT Cruiser hub is shared by the entire lineup, so the aftermarket wheel that fits a base PT Cruiser also fits the GT and the Convertible. The brake package on the GT is slightly larger than the base car (front rotors step up roughly half an inch on the GT), but the typical aftermarket wheel offset window clears both setups.
