Chrysler Sebring Aftermarket Wheel Fitment
The Chrysler Sebring was Chrysler's mid-size sedan, coupe, and convertible from 1996 through 2010. The nameplate is one of the more confusing in our catalog for wheel fitment because the bolt pattern depends on both the year and the body style. Early Sebring sedans and convertibles (1996-2006) use 5x100 with a 57.1mm hub bore. The Sebring Coupe (1996-2006), which was a Mitsubishi-derived JR-platform car, uses 5x114.3 with a 67.1mm hub bore. Then in 2007 Chrysler redesigned the Sebring sedan and convertible on a new chassis and moved them to 5x114.3 with a 67.1mm hub bore, matching the discontinued coupe's pattern. Chrysler retired the Sebring after the 2010 model year and replaced it with the Chrysler 200. Element Wheels measures fitment on every Sebring body and generation. Find your year and body style below.
Find Your Chrysler Sebring Generation and Body
Pick your year and body style to see wheels and rims that fit your specific Sebring. The bolt pattern changes between the early sedan/convertible and the post-2007 redesign, and the early Sebring Coupe uses a third pattern again. Body style matters as much as the year on this car.
The Chrysler Sebring Bolt Pattern
The Sebring bolt pattern is the trickiest thing to get right on this nameplate. There are three pattern situations across the 1996-2010 run:
- Sebring Sedan and Convertible (1996-2006): 5x100 with a 57.1mm hub bore. Same family as the Dodge Stratus and Plymouth Breeze of the same era (Chrysler JA / JR platform sedans).
- Sebring Coupe (1996-2006): 5x114.3 with a 67.1mm hub bore. The coupe was a Mitsubishi-derived JR-platform car (Mitsubishi Eclipse cousin) and uses the larger Mitsubishi-pattern hub. Completely different from the sedan and convertible of the same years.
- Sebring Sedan and Convertible (2007-2010): 5x114.3 with a 67.1mm hub bore. Chrysler redesigned the Sebring sedan in 2007 on a new chassis (the JS platform) and moved it to the larger 5x114.3 pattern. The convertible followed in 2008.
What this means in practice: 1996-2006 Sebring sedan and convertible wheels do NOT cross to either the same-era Sebring Coupe OR to the 2007-2010 Sebring sedan and convertible. The 5x100 and 5x114.3 patterns are 14mm apart and the studs do not align. The imperial nickname 5x4.5 refers only to 5x114.3 (114.3mm = 4.5 inches) and never to 5x100. Anyone selling you "5x4.5" wheels for a 1996-2006 Sebring sedan or convertible is selling the wrong pattern. Compare against the rest of the Chrysler lineup at our Chrysler wheels and rims hub.
Sebring Body and Generation Fitment Detail
The Sebring was offered as a sedan, a coupe, and a convertible across its 1996-2010 run, with different chassis underneath in different years. Every Sebring is front wheel drive. None of the trims or body styles accept staggered fitment as a recommended setup. The Sebring runs matching wheel and tire sizes on every corner. The fitment box differences between the four leaves come from the bolt pattern shift, the hub bore shift, and the body style (the convertible has a different fender opening than the sedan, and the coupe is a completely different car underneath).

How We Confirm Fitment on Chrysler Sebring Wheels
Element Wheels measures fitment on the platforms we sell wheels for, including every Sebring body and generation. For the Sebring that means clearance from the wheel to the fender, gap between the back of the wheel and the strut tower, brake caliper height, hub bore confirmation, lug seat depth, and turning clearance on the front. At our fitment facility in Chandler, Arizona, the Element Wheels team measures directly on the physical platforms we support. We don't pull specs from manufacturer sheets the way most retailers do.
The Sebring is one of the highest-risk platforms in the catalog for the wrong-pattern problem. We have seen customers come to us after another shop sold them 5x114.3 wheels for a 1998 Sebring Convertible, on the assumption that all Sebring convertibles share a pattern. That early Sebring Convertible is 5x100, not 5x114.3, and the wheels do not bolt up. The measurement work and the four-leaf split on this page are what protect against that confusion.
Chrysler Sebring Wheels and Rims FAQ
What is the bolt pattern on a Chrysler Sebring?
It depends on the year and body style. Sebring Sedans and Convertibles built 1996-2006 use 5x100 with a 57.1mm hub bore. Sebring Coupes (1996-2006) use 5x114.3 with a 67.1mm hub bore. Sebring Sedans and Convertibles built 2007-2010 also use 5x114.3 with a 67.1mm hub bore. Confirm year and body style before ordering wheels.
Why does the Sebring bolt pattern change between body styles?
The first generation Sebring Sedan and Convertible (1996-2006) were built on the Chrysler JA platform (the same chassis as the Dodge Stratus and Plymouth Breeze) and used 5x100. The first generation Sebring Coupe was a completely separate vehicle, a Mitsubishi-derived JR-platform coupe (Mitsubishi Eclipse cousin) that used Mitsubishi's larger 5x114.3 pattern. Chrysler only shared the nameplate, not the chassis. When the second generation Sebring Sedan and Convertible launched in 2007 on the JS platform, Chrysler moved them to 5x114.3 to match the broader mid-size sedan industry standard.
Will Chrysler 200 wheels fit a Chrysler Sebring?
Only the 1st gen 200 fits the post-2007 Sebring. The 1st gen Chrysler 200 (2011-2014) is a refreshed Sebring sedan underneath and uses the same 5x114.3 bolt pattern and 67.1mm hub bore as the 2007-2010 Sebring. Those wheels cross. The 2nd gen 200 (2015-2017) moved to 5x110 on the Fiat-Chrysler CUSW platform and does not cross to any Sebring. The 1996-2006 Sebring sedan and convertible are 5x100 and cross to neither generation of the 200.
Are Sebring wheels staggered?
No. The Sebring is front wheel drive across every body style and every generation, and none of the configurations accept staggered fitment as a recommended setup. Run matching wheel and tire sizes on every corner. The aftermarket width window is 6 to 8.5 inch front and rear depending on year.
Will Dodge Stratus wheels fit a 1996-2006 Sebring sedan?
Pattern yes, fitment confirm. The 1996-2006 Sebring Sedan and Convertible share the Chrysler JA platform with the same-era Dodge Stratus, and both run 5x100 with a 57.1mm hub bore. The wheels bolt to the same hub. Confirm the aftermarket offset window matches the Sebring's body before ordering.
What size wheels came on the Sebring from the factory?
Factory wheels on the early Sebring sedan and convertible ran 15 and 16 inch. The early Sebring Coupe ran 16 and 17 inch (the Limited trim got 17 inch). Post-2007 Sebring sedan and convertible came on 17 and 18 inch depending on trim. Element aftermarket coverage tops at 20 inch across every Sebring variant.
Do I need hub centric rings on a Chrysler Sebring?
Hub centric rings only when the aftermarket wheel has a centerbore larger than 57.1mm on the 1996-2006 sedan/convertible, or larger than 67.1mm on the coupe and the 2007-2010 cars. If your fitment needs rings, they'll be included with the order.
How do I find the right wheels for my specific Sebring?
Two steps. Confirm your year AND body style (this is the platform where year alone is not enough). 1996-2006 sedan or convertible = 5x100. 1996-2006 coupe = 5x114.3. 2007-2010 sedan or convertible = 5x114.3. Use our Year/Make/Model search to see wheels that fit your specific Sebring and browse the wheel gallery for real-life builds. If you are uncertain about the bolt pattern, contact our team for a free fitment consultation before ordering.
