The Dodge Grand Caravan is the full-size minivan Dodge built from 2008 through 2020, the fifth and final generation of the long-running Caravan family. It is a discontinued platform. Chrysler replaced the Grand Caravan with the Pacifica (the premium successor) and the Voyager (the fleet-oriented successor) on a new platform after the 2020 model year. Both run a 5x127 bolt pattern (also written as 5x5) with a 71.5mm hub bore, the long-standing Chrysler minivan spec. Both use M12x1.5 lug nuts on traditional studs. The Grand Caravan runs a square fitment from the factory and the 2011 refresh widened the aftermarket wheel window, which is why we measure the two ranges separately.

The Dodge Grand Caravan Bolt Pattern and Lug Spec

Every 2008-2020 Dodge Grand Caravan runs 5x127 with a 71.5mm hub bore. The 5x127 pattern is also written as 5x5 (5 lugs on a 5-inch bolt circle, since 127mm equals exactly 5 inches). It is the long-standing Chrysler full-size minivan pattern and the centerbore at 71.5mm matches the rest of the Chrysler family of the era. The Grand Caravan uses M12x1.5 lug nuts on traditional studs that pass through the hub. This is the American convention, distinct from the European lug bolt setup, and it means the studs handle the wheel pre-alignment during mounting before the lug nuts torque the wheel down.

A clarification on the bolt pattern math. 5x127 and 5x114.3 look similar on a tape measure but they are not interchangeable. 5x127 is a 5-inch circle (127mm). 5x114.3 is a 4.5-inch circle. The original Dodge Caravan (the predecessor to this Grand Caravan) ran 5x114.3, not 5x127. If you are coming from an earlier Caravan and stepping into a 2008 and up Grand Caravan, the wheels do not cross. Confirm the pattern on your hub before assuming an older Caravan wheel will fit. How the 2011 Refresh Changed the Grand Caravan Wheel Window

The 2008-2010 Grand Caravan shipped with smaller-diameter wheels in the 16 to 17 inch range and the aftermarket window starts at 14 inch (the spare and the steel base wheels). The 2011 refresh raised the factory wheel size on the upper trims into the 17 to 18 inch range and widened the aftermarket fitment window. On the 2011-2020 cars our measured aftermarket diameter range opens up to 22 inch with widths up to 9 inch. The bolt pattern, hub bore, and lug spec do not change across the refresh. Only the factory size and the aftermarket window change. Drivetrain on every Grand Caravan is front wheel drive, single drivetrain across the platform, so drivetrain is not a fitment box axis here.

The Grand Caravan is a family hauler, not a performance car, and the front and rear brake sizes are equal. There is no Track Pack or SRT variant in this minivan family. The factory fitment is square (same width front and rear) and the aftermarket sticks to square. The wheel face clearance behind the spokes is rarely the constraint on a Grand Caravan because the brake package is conventionally sized. What matters more on this platform is load rating. The Grand Caravan is a heavy vehicle and the aftermarket wheels we publish for it carry load ratings that match or exceed the OEM rating.
