The brand runs more different bolt patterns than almost any other automaker. The modern muscle cars (Charger, Challenger, current Durango, Magnum) use 5x115. The Ram 1500 has used 5x139.7 on the classic platform. The Ram 2500 and 3500 HD trucks use 8x165. Older small cars (Avenger, Dart, Caliber, Neon) ran 5x114.3. Older Dakotas and Durangos used 5x127 or 6x139.7. A wheel that fits your Charger will not fit your Ram, even though they share a parking spot. The Dodge Bolt Pattern Landscape

Dodge spreads its lineup across more different bolt patterns than almost any other automaker. There is no single Dodge bolt pattern. The bolt pattern depends on which Dodge platform you are buying for.

The takeaway is that wheels do not cross between Dodge platforms the way they might between trims of a single model. A Charger wheel will fit a Challenger or Magnum but will not fit a Ram. A Ram 1500 wheel will not fit a Ram 2500. The wheels we recommend on each Dodge model page have been validated for that exact bolt pattern.

Modern Muscle Brake Profiles: Charger and Challenger

The Charger, Challenger, and SRT Durango ship with multiple brake options across trims. A base 2017 to 2023 Challenger SXT, GT, or R/T comes with a standard caliper. The Scat Pack ships with 4-piston Brembo brakes (with optional 6-piston upgrade). The Hellcat and Demon ship with 6-piston Brembo brake packages. We track each trim separately because the wheel clearance windows narrow as the brake size grows.

Each of those calipers sits at a different position inside the wheel. A wheel that fits a standard brake Challenger will not always clear a Brembo. A wheel that fits a 4 piston Brembo will not always clear a 6 piston Brembo. This is the same problem the BMW lineup has, scaled down to the modern muscle platform.

Modern Charger and Challenger trims also split between square fitment (base, SXT, GT, R/T) and staggered fitment (Scat Pack, Hellcat, Demon, and the widebody variants). The staggered fitment lets the rear run a wider wheel with more aggressive offset. Each model page covers both setups.

How We Confirm Fitment

Element Wheels measures fitment on Dodge models we sell wheels for. For each chassis and brake combination we measure clearance from the wheel to the fender, gap between the back of the wheel and any suspension components, brake caliper height, hub protrusion, lug height, and how much room the front wheel has when turning lock to lock. We do this on the car or the truck, not from a spec sheet.

That measurement work covers the most active Dodge platforms across the catalog. Standard brakes versus Brembo 4 piston versus Brembo 6 piston are tracked separately on the muscle cars. RWD versus AWD Charger and Challenger trims are tracked separately. OEM widebody versus aftermarket widebody versus narrowbody are tracked separately. Ram 1500 light duty versus Ram 2500 and 3500 HD are entirely different patterns. Our fitment recommendations come from these direct measurements rather than manufacturer spec sheets.

The Ram 1500 splits further by 5-Lug Classic versus 6-Lug modern platform, with the Rebel and TRX tracked as their own variants. Ram 3500 single rear wheel and dually configurations are tracked separately. The Durango also splits by brake option (base brakes versus Brembo on the SRT and Hellcat trims).
