Dodge Neon Aftermarket Wheel Fitment
The Dodge Neon is Chrysler's compact front wheel drive sedan, produced from 1995 through 2005 across two generations. Element Wheels measures fitment on three Neon variants. The base 4-lug Neon (most of the lineup across both generations) runs 4x100 with a 57.1mm hub bore. The 5-lug Neon (an upgrade that came on certain ACR, R/T, and Sport trims) runs 5x100 with the same 57.1mm hub bore. The Neon SRT-4 (2003-2005) is the turbocharged enthusiast model, also on the 5x100 / 57.1mm spec. The Neon SRT-4 is the platform a lot of customers come here for, and it's the one we get the most aftermarket sizing questions about. Pick your variant below.
Find Your Dodge Neon Variant
Pick your Neon variant to see wheels and rims that fit. The first split is bolt pattern: 4-lug base Neon on 4x100, 5-lug Neon on 5x100. The second split is the Neon SRT-4, which runs the same 5x100 pattern but has its own aftermarket sizing window because of the wider track, the turbocharged power, and the more aggressive factory wheel.
The Dodge Neon Bolt Pattern
The Neon ran two different bolt patterns across its lineup, and both patterns existed within the same model year range. The 4-lug Neon (base SE, Highline, the early R/T, most of the volume cars) runs 4x100 with a 57.1mm hub bore, 4 lugs, M12x1.5 lug nuts. The 5-lug Neon (later ACR trims, certain R/T variants, the Sport package upgrades, and every Neon SRT-4) runs 5x100 with the same 57.1mm hub bore, 5 lugs, M12x1.5 lug nuts. The fastest field check is to count the lugs on one wheel. 4 studs means a 4x100 base Neon. 5 studs means a 5x100 Neon, either the 5-lug upgrade or an SRT-4.
Important safety note: 5x100 is NOT the same as 5x114.3 and is NOT the same as 5x115. These three patterns are all 5-lug, but the bolt circle diameters are different and the studs do not line up cleanly between them. A wheel built for a 5x114.3 car (like a Chrysler Sebring sedan or a 5x114.3 Mitsubishi Eclipse) will not bolt safely to a 5x100 Neon, and vice versa. The 5x100 Neon shares its pattern with the Chrysler PT Cruiser, the early Dodge Caliber, the Audi TT MK1, and the Subaru WRX of the same era. Compare across the rest of the Dodge lineup at our Dodge wheels and rims hub.
Variant Differences Across the Dodge Neon
The 4-lug Neon covers most of the volume across the 1995-2005 production run. SE, Highline, Sport, and the early R/T trims were 4x100 cars, front wheel drive only, with the smaller factory brake package. Aftermarket sizing on the 4-lug Neon runs 14 to 19 inch diameter and 5 to 7.5 inch width. The 5-lug Neon was a brake and hub upgrade that came on certain ACR, R/T, and Sport variants when Chrysler moved part of the lineup onto the 5x100 hub with the larger brake package. Same diameter and width window in the aftermarket, but the 5-lug truck of wheels opens up.
The Neon SRT-4 (2003-2005) is the highest-output Neon Chrysler built. 2.4L turbocharged four cylinder, front wheel drive, factory 17 inch wheel, larger brakes than the base car, and the wider rear track that defined the SRT-4 stance. Same 5x100 / 57.1mm hub family as the 5-lug Neon, but the factory and aftermarket window pulls in at the lower end. Most SRT-4 customers run 17 to 19 inch. 18 inch is the buying default for the SRT-4 aftermarket. The wider 7.5 to 8 inch widths on this trim accept the factory tire spec without rubbing.

Publishable factory and wheel specs across the Neon lineup:
- 4-Lug Neon (1995-2005, SE / Highline / early R/T / Sport): 4x100 bolt pattern, 57.1mm hub bore, M12x1.5 lug nuts, 4 lug. Element aftermarket diameter range: 14-19 inch. Aftermarket width range: 5-7.5 inch front and rear. Square fitment.
- 5-Lug Neon (1995-2005, ACR / 5-lug R/T / Sport upgrade): 5x100 bolt pattern, 57.1mm hub bore, M12x1.5 lug nuts, 5 lug. Element aftermarket diameter range: 14-19 inch. Aftermarket width range: 5-7.5 inch front and rear. Square fitment.
- Neon SRT-4 (2003-2005): 5x100 bolt pattern, 57.1mm hub bore, M12x1.5 lug nuts, 5 lug. Element aftermarket diameter range: 17-19 inch. Aftermarket width range: 7.5-8 inch front and rear. Square fitment.

How We Confirm Fitment on Dodge Neon Wheels
Element Wheels measures fitment on the Neon directly, across the 4-lug base car, the 5-lug upgrade trims, and the Neon SRT-4. For the Neon that means hub bore confirmation at 57.1mm, clearance from the wheel to the fender (tighter on the SRT-4 because of its wider track), gap between the back of the wheel and the suspension at full lock, brake caliper height on the SRT-4's larger front brake, lug seat depth, and lug thread confirmation at M12x1.5. At our fitment facility in Chandler, Arizona, the Element Wheels team measures directly on the physical platforms we support. We don't pull these from manufacturer spec sheets the way most retailers do.
Dodge Neon Wheels and Rims FAQ
What is the bolt pattern on a Dodge Neon?
It depends on which Neon you have. The base 4-lug Neon (SE, Highline, Sport, early R/T) runs 4x100 with a 57.1mm hub bore. The 5-lug Neon (certain ACR, R/T, and Sport trims with the brake upgrade) runs 5x100 with the same 57.1mm hub bore. The Neon SRT-4 (2003-2005) runs 5x100. The fastest check is to count the lug studs on one wheel. 4 studs means 4x100. 5 studs means 5x100.
What is the bolt pattern on a Neon SRT-4?
Every Neon SRT-4 (2003-2005) uses 5x100 with a 57.1mm hub bore, M12x1.5 lug nuts, and 5 lugs. Same hub geometry as the 5-lug Neon ACR and 5-lug R/T trims of the same era. The SRT-4 differs from the rest of the 5-lug Neon family in factory wheel size, brake package, and aftermarket sizing window, but the bolt math is the same.
Can I put 5-lug wheels on my 4-lug Neon?
Not by bolting on. A 5-lug wheel cannot mount to a 4-lug hub safely. The conversion exists in the Neon community as a brake and hub swap (the SRT-4 hub and brake assembly grafted onto a 4-lug car), but that is a mechanical project, not a wheel choice. Once the hub conversion is done, the car becomes a 5x100 car and accepts any 5-lug Neon wheel. Until then, a 4-lug Neon takes 4x100 wheels only.
What is the hub bore on a Dodge Neon?
Every Neon (4-lug, 5-lug, and SRT-4) uses a 57.1mm factory hub bore. The hub bore is the same across the entire 1995-2005 Neon lineup. Only the bolt pattern changes between 4-lug and 5-lug variants. If your fitment needs rings, they'll be included with the order.
What is the most popular Neon SRT-4 wheel size?
18 inch is the most common aftermarket Neon SRT-4 wheel size. Factory wheel was 17 inch. Our measured aftermarket window on the SRT-4 runs 17 to 19 inch diameter with widths of 7.5 to 8 inch. The factory SRT-4 tire spec was 205/50R17, and most aftermarket setups stay close to that overall diameter to keep the speedometer and gearing accurate.
Will Audi TT or VW wheels fit a Neon?
Bolt pattern only, and only on the 5-lug Neon. The MK1 Audi TT, the early Volkswagen Golf and Jetta 5-lug, and a few other VAG cars share the 5x100 pattern with the 5-lug Neon and the Neon SRT-4. The factory hub bore is different (VAG cars are 57.1mm matching, but most aftermarket VAG-spec wheels are bored larger), and the offset window is different on a low-stance European hatch than on a US compact sedan. The bolt circle will line up on 5-lug Neons only. On a 4-lug Neon, the answer is no, because the Neon's 4x100 pattern does not match modern VAG cars.
What is the largest wheel I can fit on a Dodge Neon?
19 inch is the top of our measured aftermarket window on the Neon and the Neon SRT-4. Factory sizing ran 14 to 16 inch on the base Neon and 17 inch on the SRT-4. 18 inch is the most common aftermarket choice on the SRT-4. Going larger than 19 inch on a Neon compromises ride quality and tire sidewall margin and is outside our measured fitment box.
Do I need hub centric rings on a Dodge Neon?
Hub centric rings only when the aftermarket wheel has a centerbore larger than the Neon's 57.1mm factory hub bore. If your fitment needs rings, they'll be included with the order.
