Ford C-Max Aftermarket Wheel Fitment
The Ford C-Max is a compact hybrid MPV that Ford sold in North America from the 2013 through the 2018 model year before the nameplate was discontinued in the region. The C-Max sat on Ford's C2 global compact platform and was offered as a Hybrid and as the Energi plug-in hybrid. Every C-Max across the 2013-2018 run uses a single bolt pattern: 5x108 with a 63.4mm hub bore, M12x1.5 thread pitch, 5 lug. The Hybrid and the Energi share that fitment family. Element Wheels measures the C-Max in a single window: 17 to 20 inch aftermarket diameter, 7.5 to 8.5 inch square width. Find your year range below.
Find Your Ford C-Max Year Range
The C-Max ran one chassis across its entire North American production run, so the fitment family is the same for every year. The C2 platform underpinned both the Hybrid and the Energi, and both share the 5x108 bolt pattern, the 63.4mm hub bore, and the same aftermarket window.
The Ford C-Max Bolt Pattern
The C-Max runs 5x108 with a 63.4mm hub bore across the entire 2013-2018 run. 5x108 is Ford's metric compact-platform pattern, also called 5x4.25 in imperial nickname (108mm equals roughly 4.25 inches). It is the same pattern Ford uses on the 2nd gen Fusion (2013-2020), the modern Escape, the Bronco Sport, and the Maverick on the related C2 platform family. The 63.4mm hub bore is the standard Ford passenger-car hub bore for this generation of compact-platform vehicles.
The detail that trips buyers across Ford's compact lineup. 5x108 is NOT the same as 5x114.3 (which Ford uses on the Mustang, the Ranger, and the older 1st gen Fusion). The two patterns sit about 6.3mm apart at the studs and the wheels do not interchange. A 5x114.3 wheel from a 1st gen Fusion (2006-2012) will not bolt onto a C-Max, and a 5x108 wheel from a C-Max will not bolt onto a Mustang. Always confirm the bolt pattern before ordering. Compare against the rest of the Ford lineup at our Ford wheels and rims hub.
C-Max Hybrid and Energi Plug-In Variants
The North American C-Max came in two variants: the C-Max Hybrid (a full hybrid) and the C-Max Energi (a plug-in hybrid with a larger battery and a charge port). Both share the same C2 chassis, the same 5x108 bolt pattern, the same 63.4mm hub bore, and the same brake package matched front to rear. The Energi's larger battery pack is packaged under the cargo floor and does not change the wheel fitment box. Both ran 17 inch wheels from the factory on most trims, with the aftermarket measured window opening up to 20 inch diameter and a 7.5 to 8.5 inch square width range.
The C-Max runs square (same width front and rear) on every year and every variant. The C-Max is a front-wheel-drive compact where tire rotation between front and rear is part of the maintenance routine, so the aftermarket sticks to square. There is no factory staggered C-Max.

Publishable factory and wheel specs across the C-Max:
- C-Max 2013-2018 (Hybrid and Energi): 5x108 bolt pattern, 63.4mm hub bore, M12x1.5 thread, 5 lug. Ford C2 global compact platform. Element aftermarket diameter range: 17 to 20 inch. Aftermarket width range: 7.5 to 8.5 inch square. Matched front-rear brake. Hybrid and Energi share fitment.
For your exact aftermarket offset, three options:
- 1. Use our Year/Make/Model search to see wheels that fit your specific C-Max (each listing shows its own offset).
- 2. Browse the C-Max wheel gallery for real-life builds with size, offset, and tire spec captions.

How We Confirm Fitment on Ford C-Max Wheels
Element Wheels measures fitment on the platforms we sell wheels for, including the C-Max across the 2013-2018 run. For the C-Max that means clearance from the wheel to the fender, gap between the back of the wheel and the suspension and the front strut, brake caliper clearance, hub bore confirmation at 63.4mm, lug seat geometry, and turning clearance with the wheel and tire installed. At our fitment facility in Chandler, Arizona, the Element Wheels team measures directly on the physical platforms we support. We don't pull specs from manufacturer sheets the way most retailers do.
Ford C-Max Wheels and Rims FAQ
What is the bolt pattern on a Ford C-Max?
5x108 with a 63.4mm hub bore, M12x1.5 thread pitch, 5 lug, across the entire 2013-2018 North American production run. 5x108 carries the 5x4.25 imperial nickname (108mm equals roughly 4.25 inches). The Hybrid and the Energi share the same fitment family.
What is the hub bore on a Ford C-Max?
63.4mm on every C-Max, 2013 through 2018. That is the standard Ford passenger-car hub bore for the C2 compact platform of this era.
Does the C-Max Hybrid use the same wheels as the C-Max Energi?
Yes. The Hybrid and the Energi share the same C2 chassis, the same 5x108 bolt pattern, the same 63.4mm hub bore, and the same brake package matched front to rear. The Energi's larger plug-in battery is packaged under the cargo floor and does not change the wheel fitment box. A wheel that fits one fits the other.
Will Fusion or Escape wheels fit my Ford C-Max?
On bolt pattern and hub bore, yes for the matched-spec siblings. The 2nd gen Fusion (2013-2020) shares the same 5x108 / 63.4mm spec as the C-Max, and the modern Escape on related C2-platform years uses the same pattern. A 1st gen Fusion (2006-2012) on the older 5x114.3 / 67.1mm spec does NOT fit. Confirm the offset matches the C-Max measured window before installing on the C-Max.
What is the largest wheel I can fit on a Ford C-Max?
Our measured aftermarket window tops at 20 inch diameter with a 7.5 to 8.5 inch width. Most aftermarket C-Max builds land at 18 inch. The factory wheel on most trims is 17 inch, so a step up to 18 or 19 inch is the most common upgrade path.
Are Ford C-Max wheels staggered?
No. The C-Max runs square (same width front and rear) on every year and every variant. The C-Max is a front-wheel-drive compact where tire rotation between front and rear is part of normal maintenance, so the aftermarket sticks to square here. There is no factory staggered C-Max.
What is the OEM offset and lug torque on a Ford C-Max?
Factory offset on the C-Max sits in the high-positive range typical for a front-wheel-drive compact on the C2 platform. Lug nut torque is 100 ft lbs across the 2013-2018 run. Always confirm against your owner manual. Re-torque after 50 to 100 miles when fitting a new wheel.
Do I need hub centric rings on a Ford C-Max?
Hub centric rings only when the aftermarket wheel has a centerbore larger than 63.4mm. If your fitment needs rings, they'll be included with the order.
