The Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty are the heavy-duty side of the Ford truck lineup, separate from the half-ton F-150 in every meaningful way. The Super Duty is an 8 lug truck (not the F-150's 6 lug). Element Wheels measures the Super Duty across the full production span starting with the 1988 trucks. The 1988-1997 F-250, F-350 SRW, and F-350/F-450 Dually all ran 8x165.1 (also called 8x6.5). Ford redesigned the Super Duty in 1999 and moved the F-250 and F-350 single rear wheel (SRW) trucks to a Ford-specific 8x170 pattern. The F-350/F-450 Dually moved to a dedicated 8x200 pattern with the 2011 redesign. F-450/F-550 Dually in 10-lug 10x225 is its own platform. Factory hub bore is 124.9mm on SRW trucks and 142mm on the modern 8x200 Dually. SRW wheels do not cross to Dually trucks, and the older 8x165.1 wheels do not cross to the 8x170 or 8x200 trucks. Ford redesigned the Super Duty in 1999 and moved the SRW trucks to 8x170. The F-350/F-450 Dually moved to its own 8x200 pattern with the 2011 redesign. Each generation also has its own factory offset window and per-lift fitments tracked separately in the catalog.

The Ford Super Duty Bolt Pattern Splits Three Ways

The 1988-1997 F-250, F-350 SRW, and F-350/F-450 Dually all ran 8x165.1 (also called 8x6.5) with a 124.9mm factory hub bore. Ford redesigned the Super Duty in 1999 and moved the F-250 and F-350 SRW trucks to a Ford-specific 8x170 pattern, keeping the 124.9mm hub bore. F-350/F-450 Dually trucks transitioned through both 8x165.1 and 8x170 in the 1999-2010 window, then moved to a dedicated 8x200 pattern with a 142mm hub bore starting with the 2011 redesign. The 8x200 has held on the modern 8-Lug F-350/F-450 Dually through every generation since. F-450/F-550 Dually with 10 lugs is a separate platform on 10x225 with its own hub spec.

Three things matter for the buyer. First, SRW wheels (8x170) do NOT bolt to modern Dually trucks (8x200), and vice versa. Confirm SRW or Dually before ordering. Second, wheels from a 1988-1997 truck (8x165.1) will NOT bolt to a 1999 or newer SRW truck (8x170), and they will NOT bolt to a 2011 or newer 8-Lug Dually (8x200). All three patterns are 8 lug but the bolt circles are different and the studs do not line up. Third, the Super Duty is a completely different platform from the F-150. The F-150 uses a 6 lug 6x135 pattern (or older 5 lug). An F-150 wheel will never fit a Super Duty and vice versa. Lug count is the fastest check. Why Super Duty Fitment Is Lift-Driven

The Super Duty is one of the most aggressively lifted platforms in our catalog. Customers run leveling kits, 3.5-4 inch lifts, 4-5 inch lifts, 6-6.5 inch lifts, and 8 inch lifts on these trucks. Each lift height changes the wheel offset window the truck accepts, because the suspension geometry, the inner liner clearance, and the room between the tire and the upper control arm all shift as the truck comes up. The tire size you intend to run (33, 35, 37, 38, even 40 inch) layers another fitment row on top of the lift. We track each lift-and-tire combination as its own row in the catalog. On the 2023 and newer trucks we track the Tremor 4WD as its own row separate from the standard F-250/F-350 because Tremor offset latitude differs from the regular truck.

Dually trucks live in a different fitment universe. The Dually rear wheel mounts behind the outer hub face and the front wheel sits on the standard hub, so the front and rear run different offsets by design.
