The 3.5 liter EcoBoost twin-turbocharged V6 was offered on the Flex from the 2010 model year forward, and all-wheel drive was optional across the production run. The Ford Flex Bolt Pattern

The Flex runs 5x114.3 with a 63.4mm hub bore across every year, 2009 through 2019. 5x114.3 carries the 5x4.5 imperial nickname (114.3mm equals 4.5 inches), the same pattern Ford uses on the contemporary Explorer and the 2010-and-newer Taurus that came off the same D4 platform. The 63.4mm hub bore is Ford's metric crossover hub bore and it is shared across the D4 platform family.

The detail that trips buyers. 5x114.3 is a different pattern from 5x115 even though they look similar on paper. 114.3mm equals 4.5 inches exactly; 115mm is roughly 4.53 inches. The two patterns sit 0.7mm apart at the studs, which sounds small but is enough to load the studs unevenly and is not a safe fit. A 5x115 wheel does not bolt onto a Flex. Always confirm the wheel listing reads 5x114.3. The 5x4.5 imperial label is the same pattern as 5x114.3, just a different naming convention. Flex EcoBoost, AWD, and Trim Variants

The Flex lineup runs the naturally aspirated 3.5 liter V6 across the base SE, SEL, and Limited trims, with the 3.5 liter EcoBoost twin-turbocharged V6 added on the Limited (and later the SEL EcoBoost) starting with the 2010 model year. All-wheel drive is optional across the lineup. From a fitment standpoint, the EcoBoost engine, the AWD drivetrain, and the trim levels do not change the wheel fitment window on a Flex. The brake package is matched front to rear (no Brembo-style front-rotor split) and there is no SHO-equivalent Flex variant. The front-wheel-drive Flex, the AWD Flex, the EcoBoost Flex, and the base Flex all share the same 5x114.3 / 63.4mm fitment family and the same Element measured aftermarket window.
