The 1st gen CD338 (2006-2012) used 5x114.3 with a 67.1mm hub bore, the bolt pattern Ford carried over from the Mazda 6 platform the Fusion shared underpinnings with. The 2nd gen CD391 (2013-2020) moved to 5x108 with a 63.4mm hub bore, the same Ford metric pattern used on the modern Escape and the C2-platform crossovers. The 2nd gen lineup added the Fusion Sport variant for 2017 with a 2.7 liter turbocharged V6 and all wheel drive, alongside the Fusion Hybrid and the Fusion Energi plug-in hybrid. The Ford Fusion Bolt Pattern Changes Between Generations

The Fusion has one bolt pattern transition in its 2006-2020 run. The 1st gen CD338 (2006-2012) used 5x114.3 with a 67.1mm hub bore. The CD338 was a Mazda-derived platform Ford developed jointly during the Ford and Mazda partnership era, which is why the 1st gen Fusion carries the 5x114.3 pattern shared with the Mazda 6 of that generation. The 2nd gen CD391 (2013-2020) moved to a new global C/D platform engineered around Ford's metric 5x108 pattern with a 63.4mm hub bore. 5x108 is the same Ford metric pattern used on the modern Escape, the Bronco Sport, and the Maverick (Ford C2 platform).

The two patterns are different and do not interchange. The detail that trips buyers. 5x114.3 carries the 5x4.5 imperial nickname (114.3mm equals 4.5 inches). 5x108 carries the 5x4.25 imperial nickname (108mm equals roughly 4.25 inches). The two patterns sit 6.3mm apart at the studs and the wheels are not cross-compatible. A 5x114.3 wheel from a 2010 Fusion does not bolt onto a 2015 Fusion. A 5x108 wheel from a 2018 Fusion does not bolt onto a 2008 Fusion. Always confirm the bolt pattern by year before ordering.

The 2nd Gen Fusion Sport, Hybrid, and Energi Variants

The 2nd gen Fusion lineup includes the Fusion Sport (introduced for the 2017 model year), the Fusion Hybrid, and the Fusion Energi plug-in hybrid. The Sport runs a 2.7 liter twin-turbocharged V6 with all wheel drive and shipped from the factory on 19 inch wheels. The Hybrid and Energi run smaller wheels from the factory and carry battery packaging that does not affect wheel fitment. All of these 2nd gen variants share the same 5x108 bolt pattern, 63.4mm hub bore, M12x1.5 thread, and the same brake clearance window we have measured (the catalog tracks one fitment row across all 2013-2020 trims). Wheel choice on the Sport is the same architecture as a base 2nd gen Fusion; the variable to confirm before ordering is whether the wheel diameter and offset land inside our published 2nd gen window.
