The Ford Mustang Mach-E Bolt Pattern

Every Ford Mustang Mach-E (2021 and up) runs 5x108 with a 63.4mm hub bore. The lug count is 5 and the thread pitch is M14x1.5. 5x108 is Ford's metric bolt pattern, also used on the Ford Escape (from 2013 forward), the Ford Bronco Sport, the Ford Maverick, and the 2nd gen Ford Fusion. The Mach-E does NOT share a chassis with any of those vehicles; the Mach-E is on its own EV-only GE1 platform. The bolt math crosses with the Ford C2 family in pattern only. Hub bore, offset windows, brake clearance, suspension geometry, and the weight of the vehicle are all different. A wheel built for a Bronco Sport bolts to a Mach-E in pattern, but we measure the Mach-E separately because the EV weight (around 4,800 to 5,000 pounds depending on trim) and the larger brake package on the GT Performance Edition change the fitment window.

The detail that trips buyers. 5x108 is NOT 5x114.3. The two patterns sit 6.3mm apart and the studs do not align across them. The Mach-E is 5x108 specifically. The 5x114.3 pattern (which carries the 5x4.5 imperial nickname) lives on the gas-powered Ford Mustang, most full-size Ford trucks and SUVs, and the 1st gen Ford Escape and Edge. A 5x114.3 wheel built for a gas Mustang will not bolt to a Mustang Mach-E even though both carry the Mustang name. Why the Mach-E Is Different from a Gas Mustang for Wheels

The Mach-E and the gas Mustang share a name and a pony-car silhouette in marketing. They share nothing for wheel buying. The gas Mustang is a rear wheel drive coupe on the S550 / S650 platform with a 5x114.3 bolt pattern, a 70.5mm hub bore, and a curb weight of roughly 3,700 to 4,200 pounds depending on trim. The Mach-E is an EV crossover on the GE1 platform with a 5x108 bolt pattern, a 63.4mm hub bore, and a curb weight closer to 4,800 to 5,000 pounds. The Mach-E has an electric motor on the rear axle (RWD trims) or on both axles (AWD trims), no transmission tunnel, a flat battery floor, and a higher seating position. None of that crosses with a gas Mustang.

The Mach-E catalog accepts both square and staggered aftermarket setups across all four trims, which is unusual for an EV crossover in this segment. The factory ships matched widths front and rear on Select, Premium, and GT, with the GT Performance Edition shipping with a wider rear tire than front. The aftermarket window on every trim allows the rear wheel to run up to 1 inch wider than the front, so a customer who wants the more aggressive staggered look can build that way on a Select trim, not just a GT. The GT Performance Edition is the trim that ships with the larger front brake rotor compared to the rest of the lineup, but the caliper itself is the same across all four trims. The painted-red caliper on the GT Non-Performance is just an appearance package over the base brake.
