The 10th gen MN12 Thunderbird (1989-1997) and the 11th gen retro convertible (2002-2006) both run 5x108 with a 63.36mm hub bore. 5x108 is also written 5x4.25 (108mm equals roughly 4.25 inches), the Ford metric pattern Ford used on the 1986-2006 Taurus, the Mercury Sable, and the original Lincoln Continental. The MN12 platform included the SuperCoupe with the supercharged 3.8 liter V6, and the SuperCoupe shares the same 5x108 / 63.36mm fitment family as the rest of the 10th gen lineup.

The 11th gen retro convertible (2002-2006) was Ford's modern reinterpretation of the original 1955 Thunderbird styling, built on a shortened Lincoln LS / Jaguar S-Type platform. It carries the 5x108 / 63.36mm Ford metric pattern that fits with the rest of Ford's metric family of the era. The 11th gen is the only Thunderbird in Element's catalog window that came exclusively as a convertible from the factory. Thunderbird SuperCoupe, Retro Convertible, and Year Range Detail

The 10th gen Thunderbird MN12 lineup includes the SuperCoupe (1989-1995) with the Eaton supercharged 3.8 liter V6, the V8-equipped Thunderbird LX, and the base coupes. All of these 10th gen variants share the same 5x108 / 63.36mm fitment family. The SuperCoupe carries firmer suspension, a rear sway bar, and different brake hardware than the base 10th gen Thunderbird, but the brake package is matched front to rear across the lineup and does not require a separate aftermarket wheel face clearance window. The 11th gen retro convertible (2002-2006) ran in the base Premium and Deluxe trims with the 3.9 liter V8, plus limited-run color packages including the James Bond Die Another Day edition for 2003. All 11th gen retro Thunderbirds share the 5x108 / 63.36mm fitment family.

The bolt pattern transitions across Thunderbird generations are the place customers get tripped up most often. A wheel from a 1992 SuperCoupe (5x108) does not bolt onto a 1962 Bullet Bird (5x114.3) and the other direction does not work either. A wheel from a 2004 retro Thunderbird (5x108) does cross to a 1995 SuperCoupe (5x108) on bolt pattern and hub bore, but offset and width should be confirmed against the measured window for that generation before installing.
