Hummer H2 Aftermarket Wheel Fitment

The Hummer H2 is the full-size SUV Hummer built from 2003 through 2010, based on GM's GMT820 truck platform derived from the GMT800 full-size family that underpinned the same era Chevrolet Tahoe, Suburban, and Silverado 2500 trucks. Hummer added a four-corner-fitting body kit, a unique interior, and the eight lug heavy duty axles that put the H2 in the same wheel-class as a Silverado 2500 or 3500 of the same era. Element Wheels measures four H2 fitment families. The standard H2 SUV at stock ride height, the H2 SUT pickup variant (the 2005-2009 sport utility truck version with a small pickup bed) at stock ride height, and the lifted versions of both, which open the negative offset window dramatically. Every H2 we have measured runs 8x165.1 with a 116.7mm hub bore and 14x1.5 lug nuts. The pattern is the heavy duty 8 lug truck class shared with the GMT800 Silverado 2500 and 3500. Pick your H2 variant card below for the fitment specs that apply to your specific truck.

Find Your Hummer H2 Variant

Pick your H2 card to see wheels and rims that fit your specific truck. Bolt pattern (8x165.1), hub bore (116.7mm), and lug spec (14x1.5 nuts) are constant across every H2 ever built. The split is between the standard SUV and the SUT pickup variant on the body side, and between stock and lifted ride height on the fitment side. Lifted H2s open the negative offset window dramatically, so we track those separately.

The Hummer H2 Bolt Pattern and Hub Bore

Every Hummer H2 from 2003 through 2010 runs 8x165.1 (often written 8x165 and also called 8x6.5 in imperial, where 165.1mm equals 6.5 inches) with a 116.7mm hub bore and 14x1.5 lug nuts. That covers the H2 SUV across the entire model run, the H2 SUT pickup variant (2005-2009 model years, sold through 2010), and every lifted H2 build. 8x165.1 is the heavy duty truck class pattern, the same pattern used on the same era Chevrolet Silverado 2500 and 3500, GMC Sierra 2500 and 3500, and other GM heavy duty trucks from the GMT800 platform family. The H2 sits on the GMT820 platform, which is a derivative of the GMT800 architecture sized and reinforced for the H2's character.

The 116.7mm hub bore is large because the H2 axles are heavy duty truck axles. The bolt math means that an aftermarket wheel made for an 8x165.1 truck pattern will physically thread onto the H2 hub. The offset window, the diameter, and the brake clearance need to match the H2 specifically. We measure those separately on the H2 because the truck rides higher and runs a different brake setup than a Silverado 2500 at stock ride height. A wheel that fits a Silverado 2500 will bolt to the H2 but may not give you the look or the clearance you wanted. Compare across the rest of the Hummer lineup at our Hummer wheels and rims hub.

The 8x165.1 pattern is NOT the same as 8x170. The 8x170 pattern is the Ford Super Duty heavy duty truck pattern (F-250 and F-350 of the same era). Even though both are 8 lug heavy duty patterns, they are not interchangeable. The bolt circle differs by about 5 millimeters, which is enough to make the wheels physically not bolt across. If you are coming off a Ford Super Duty wheel set, those wheels will not fit an H2.

Why Lifted H2s Open Up a Different Fitment Window

The H2 is one of the most commonly lifted full-size SUVs of its era. A stock H2 has a usable but constrained offset and width window because the fenders and the suspension are sized for factory wheel diameters. Once the truck is lifted, the fenders sit higher relative to the wheel and the suspension geometry changes. That opens the door to much wider wheels, much more negative offset (the wheels stick further out from the hub), and bigger diameters. The aftermarket window we measure for the lifted H2 supports widths up to 16 inch and negative offsets well into the territory you cannot run at stock ride height. We track lifted fitments as their own catalog family because the wheels that work on a lifted H2 will not work on a stock H2 without rubbing the fender or the suspension.

The H2 SUT (Sport Utility Truck) is the 2005-2009 pickup-bed variant of the H2. Same chassis, same engine, same 8 lug pattern. The rear of the body is a small pickup bed instead of the full SUV greenhouse. For wheel fitment, the SUT and the SUV are interchangeable. A wheel that fits a stock H2 SUV will fit a stock H2 SUT. A wheel that fits a lifted H2 SUV will fit a lifted H2 SUT. We track them as separate catalog rows so the search and the gallery surfaces match the customer's actual body style, but the underlying fitment math is the same.

Every H2 runs square fitment. There is no staggered factory option and no compelling aftermarket reason to run staggered on this platform. The H2 is a four wheel drive heavy duty SUV with full time torque distribution across both axles. Staggered fitment on an all wheel drive truck creates drivetrain stress because the front and rear tires roll at slightly different rates. Square is the rule on every H2, stock and lifted.

Element Wheels Measured Aftermarket Fitment, Hummer H2

Publishable factory and wheel specs across the H2 fitment families:

  • H2 SUV, Stock (2003-2010): 8x165.1 bolt pattern, 116.7mm hub bore, 14x1.5 lug nuts. Element aftermarket diameter range: 17-30 inch. Aftermarket width range: 8-12 inch. Square fitment.
  • H2 SUT, Stock (2005-2010): 8x165.1 bolt pattern, 116.7mm hub bore, 14x1.5 lug nuts. Element aftermarket diameter range: 17-30 inch. Aftermarket width range: 8-12 inch. Square fitment. Same chassis as the SUV.
  • H2 SUV, Lifted (2003-2010): 8x165.1 bolt pattern, 116.7mm hub bore, 14x1.5 lug nuts. Element aftermarket diameter range: 17-30 inch. Aftermarket width range: 9-16 inch. Square fitment. Negative offset window opens dramatically once lifted.
  • H2 SUT, Lifted (2005-2010): 8x165.1 bolt pattern, 116.7mm hub bore, 14x1.5 lug nuts. Element aftermarket diameter range: 17-30 inch. Aftermarket width range: 9-16 inch. Square fitment.

For your exact aftermarket offset, three options:

  • 1. Use our Year/Make/Model search to see wheels that fit your specific H2 (each listing shows its own offset).
  • 2. Browse the H2 wheel gallery for real-life builds with size, offset, and tire spec captions.
  • 3. Call or chat with our team for a free fitment consultation, especially on lifted setups where the offset window is wider and clearance matters more.

Every wheel we recommend is backed by our Fitment Guarantee. If a wheel does not fit, we pick up the wheels and refund 100 percent. No risk to you.

How We Confirm Fitment on Hummer H2 Wheels

Element Wheels measures fitment on the H2 directly, on the SUV and SUT body styles and at both stock and lifted ride heights. For the H2 that means clearance from the wheel to the fender on both axles (a much bigger consideration on lifted builds where the body sits higher relative to the wheel), gap between the back of the wheel and the suspension components, brake caliper height, hub bore confirmation at 116.7mm, lug nut seat depth for 14x1.5 nuts, and confirmation that the wheel clears the steering knuckle at full turning lock. On lifted setups we also verify that the tire size paired with the wheel does not rub the fender well or the inner liner at compression. At our fitment facility in Chandler, Arizona, the Element Wheels team measures directly on the physical platforms we support. We don't pull specs from manufacturer sheets the way most retailers do.

Hummer H2 Wheels and Rims FAQ

What is the bolt pattern on a Hummer H2?

Every Hummer H2 from 2003 through 2010 runs 8x165.1 (often written 8x165, also called 8x6.5 in imperial) with a 116.7mm hub bore and 14x1.5 lug nuts. That covers the H2 SUV across the entire run, the H2 SUT pickup variant (2005-2009), and every lifted H2 build. The pattern is the heavy duty 8 lug truck class shared with the same era Chevrolet Silverado 2500 and 3500 from the GMT800 family.

What is the hub bore on a Hummer H2?

116.7mm across every H2. The hub bore is large because the H2 uses heavy duty truck axles from the GMT800 family. A wheel with a larger centerbore than 116.7mm needs hub centric rings to bring the bore down to the H2 hub diameter.

Will Chevrolet Silverado 2500 wheels fit a Hummer H2?

At the bolt pattern level, yes. Same era Silverado 2500 and 3500 trucks (GMT800 platform) share the 8x165.1 bolt pattern and the 116.7mm hub bore with the H2. The bolt math says the wheels cross. The offset window does not. The H2 rides higher than a stock Silverado 2500 and runs different brakes. A Silverado 2500 wheel that sits flush on the truck may sit too deep on the H2, and a Silverado wheel built for a stock height truck may give you a different look than you wanted. We measure the H2 separately for that reason.

Will Ford F-250 Super Duty wheels fit a Hummer H2?

No. The Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty trucks use 8x170 bolt pattern, not 8x165.1. They look similar at a glance (both are 8 lug heavy duty patterns) but the bolt circle differs by about 5 millimeters. Wheels do not physically cross between the Ford Super Duty 8x170 trucks and the GM 8x165.1 trucks including the H2. Always confirm the pattern before assuming an 8 lug truck wheel will bolt up.

H2 SUV vs H2 SUT: does it change the fitment?

No. The H2 SUV and the H2 SUT pickup variant share the same chassis, the same engine, the same axles, and the same 8x165.1 bolt pattern. The rear of the body differs (SUV has the full greenhouse, SUT has a small pickup bed) but the wheel fitment is identical between the two. We track them as separate catalog rows so search and the gallery match the customer's body style, but the underlying fitment math is the same.

Stock vs lifted: what changes for wheels?

Bolt pattern, centerbore, and lug spec do not change. What changes is the available width and offset window. A stock H2 has a constrained window because the fenders and suspension sit at factory ride height. A lifted H2 opens that window dramatically. Wider wheels (up to 16 inch wide in our catalog) and much more negative offsets (the wheels stick further out from the hub) become workable. A wheel that fits a lifted H2 will rub on a stock H2. A wheel that fits a stock H2 will look tucked too far in once you lift the truck. We track stock and lifted as separate fitment families.

Are H2 wheels staggered?

No. Every H2 runs square fitment, meaning the front and rear wheels are the same width. There is no staggered factory option and no aftermarket reason to stagger an H2. The H2 is a four wheel drive heavy duty SUV. Running staggered tires on an all wheel drive truck creates drivetrain stress because the front and rear roll at slightly different rates. Square is the rule on every H2, stock and lifted.

Do I need hub centric rings on a Hummer H2?

Hub centric rings only when the aftermarket wheel has a centerbore larger than 116.7mm. If your fitment needs rings, they'll be included with the order.

Get Hummer H2 Wheels Right the First Time
