That early pattern carried over from the Excel-era subcompact spec and does NOT match the rest of the 4-lug Accents. The 2nd, 3rd, and 4th generation cars (2000-2017) moved to a 4-lug 4x100 pattern with a 54.1mm hub bore on the same M12x1.5 thread. That is the small-Hyundai pattern shared with the older Elantra and the early Tiburon. The final 5th generation HC Accent (2018-2022) moved to a 5-lug 5x114.3 pattern with a 67.1mm hub bore, joining the rest of the modern Hyundai lineup on the larger spec. Two of those transitions matter before you buy: the 1999 to 2000 pattern step inside the 4-lug era, and the 2017 to 2018 jump from 4-lug to 5-lug. None of the three eras interchange. The second transition is the 4-lug to 5-lug move that happened with the 2018 model year. The 1st generation X3 Accent (1995-1999) runs 4x114.3 with a 67.1mm hub bore, M12x1.5 thread, and 4 lugs. The 2nd, 3rd, and 4th generation Accents (2000-2017, 18 model years across three generations) run 4x100 with a 54.1mm hub bore, the same M12x1.5 thread, and 4 lugs. The final 5th generation HC Accent (2018-2022) runs 5x114.3 with a 67.1mm hub bore, the same M12x1.5 thread, and 5 lugs. None of the three eras interchange. Hyundai discontinued the Accent in North America after the 2022 model year.

The 1st gen X3 Accent (1995-1999) runs 4x114.3 with a 67.1mm hub bore. This is the early Hyundai-Kia subcompact spec carried over from the Excel era, and it does NOT match the smaller 4x100 pattern that took over with the 2nd gen in 2000. The 4-lug count is the same on both eras, but the stud circle is roughly 14mm larger on the 1st gen, so a wheel from a 2000 and up 4-lug Accent will not bolt onto a 1995-1999 Accent. This trips up first-time buyers who assume "4-lug Hyundai Accent" is one spec. The 67.1mm hub bore on the 1st gen X3 also runs larger than the 54.1mm on the 2nd through 4th gen cars.

The 4x100 pattern on the 2000-2017 Accent is one of the most common 4-lug patterns in the small-car world. It is the same pattern Hyundai uses on the older Elantra and the original Tiburon, and the same pattern Honda uses on the Civic from 1988 to 2000, Mazda on the Miata, Volkswagen on the Mk1 through Mk4 Golf, BMW on the E30 3 Series, and Toyota on the Corolla and the older Yaris. The 54.1mm centerbore is the Hyundai-Kia small-car spec for this era. Honda 4x100 wheels use a 56.1mm centerbore, so a Civic wheel will physically bolt up but it will not hub-center on a 4x100 Accent without verifying clearance.

The 5x114.3 pattern on the 2018-2022 Accent matches the rest of the modern Hyundai-Kia compact lineup including the modern Elantra, Sonata, Kona, and the Kia Forte and K5. The imperial nickname for 5x114.3 is 5x4.5 because 114.3mm equals exactly 4.5 inches. One detail that catches buyers on the 2018-2022 Accent: 5x114.3 is NOT the same as 5x115 used on some American sedans. The two patterns sit only 0.7mm apart but they do not bolt across. The 5x4.5 imperial nickname refers specifically to 5x114.3 (114.3mm equals 4.5 inches), not 5x115. The Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger LX, and Dodge Challenger use 5x115, and those wheels will not fit your 2018-2022 Accent. Why the Accent Runs Three Different Wheel Specs Across Five Generations

The Accent went through two pattern transitions, not one. The first transition happened with the 2000 model year, when Hyundai moved the platform off the early 4x114.3 / 67.1mm spec inherited from the Excel era and onto the smaller 4x100 / 54.1mm spec that became the small-Hyundai standard for the next 17 years. That step is invisible to buyers who only know the modern lineup, but it is a real safety boundary: a 4-lug 2000 and up Accent wheel will not bolt to a 4-lug 1995-1999 Accent and vice versa. The second transition happened with the 2018 model year on the new HC chassis (shared with the Kia Rio of the same era), when Hyundai moved the small-car lineup off the legacy 4x100 / 54.1mm spec and onto the mainstream 5x114.3 / 67.1mm spec that the rest of the modern Hyundai-Kia passenger range uses. The change means two things for aftermarket buyers. First, none of the three pattern eras interchange. Second, the 2018-2022 Accent shares the modern small-Hyundai aftermarket wheel pool with the modern Elantra and Sonata at the bolt pattern level, though body proportion, fender opening, and brake clearance still control actual fitment.
