Hyundai Elantra Aftermarket Wheel Fitment
The Hyundai Elantra is Hyundai's compact sedan and one of the longest-running nameplates in the modern Hyundai lineup. The Elantra has run two bolt pattern eras over its US lifespan. The 1992-2006 cars used a 4-lug 4x114.3 pattern with a 67.1mm hub bore. The 2007 and up Elantra moved to a 5-lug 5x114.3 pattern, keeping the same 67.1mm hub bore and M12x1.5 lug thread Hyundai uses across most of its modern lineup. The current 7th gen Elantra (CN7, 2021 and up) uses the same 5-lug spec, as does the performance-oriented Elantra N (2022 and up). The Elantra N is the carve-out in the lineup: it ships with a slightly oversized front brake that requires more inner-barrel clearance than the rest of the Elantra range, so we measure it as a separate fitment row. Pick your generation below for the fitment specs that apply to your specific Elantra.
Find Your Hyundai Elantra Generation
Pick your generation to see wheels and rims that fit your specific Elantra. The bolt pattern transition between 2006 and 2007 (4-lug to 5-lug) is the most important confirm. 1992-2006: 4x114.3 / 67.1mm hub bore / 4 lug. 2007 and up: 5x114.3 / 67.1mm hub bore / 5 lug. The two pattern eras do not interchange. The Elantra N (2022 and up) is also a separate fitment row because of its larger front brake.
The Hyundai Elantra Bolt Pattern
The Elantra has one bolt pattern transition in its US lifespan: the 4-lug to 5-lug move that happened with the 2007 model year. 1992-2006 Elantras use 4x114.3 with a 67.1mm hub bore, M12x1.5 thread, and 4 lugs. 2007 and up Elantras use 5x114.3 with the same 67.1mm hub bore and M12x1.5 thread, but with 5 lugs. The hub bore and thread pitch stayed constant across the transition, but the lug count and pattern changed, so wheels do not cross the 2006 to 2007 boundary. The 2007 Elantra Sedan was the first 5-lug Elantra in the US. The same 5x114.3 / 67.1mm spec has held across every Elantra generation since, including the current CN7 (2021 and up), the Elantra N Line (2021-2023), and the Elantra N (2022 and up).
On the modern (2007 and up) Elantra, the imperial nickname for 5x114.3 is 5x4.5, since 114.3mm equals exactly 4.5 inches. That pattern is one of the most common 5-lug patterns in the modern automotive market and is shared across the modern Hyundai-Kia compact and mid-size sedan lineup including the Kia Forte and Kia K5, the Honda Civic from 2004 forward, the Nissan Altima, most Toyota Camry generations, and the Mazda6.
One detail that catches buyers: 5x114.3 is NOT the same as 5x115 used on some American sedans. The two patterns sit only 0.7mm apart but they do not bolt across. The lug studs will not line up at that spacing. The 5x4.5 imperial nickname refers specifically to 5x114.3 (114.3mm equals 4.5 inches), not 5x115. The Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger LX, and Dodge Challenger use 5x115, and those wheels will not fit your Elantra. Stick to 5x114.3 / 5x4.5 specifically on a 2007 and up Elantra. Compare across the rest of the Hyundai lineup at our Hyundai wheels and rims hub.
Why the Elantra N Runs Tighter Fitment Than a Base Elantra
The Elantra N (2022 and up) is the high-performance variant Hyundai launched alongside the 7th gen CN7 Elantra. The N carries the most aggressive Elantra powertrain (a turbocharged 2.0L) and slightly oversized front brakes that are physically larger than the brakes on the rest of the Elantra lineup. The bolt pattern and hub bore stay the same at 5x114.3 / 67.1mm. What changes on the N is the inner-barrel clearance the wheel needs to clear the front caliper. Front-larger-than-rear is the normal configuration on a performance car of the N caliber. The front axle does the majority of the braking work and Hyundai scaled the front caliper accordingly. We measure the Elantra N as a separate fitment row in our catalog because of the brake clearance change. Square (non-staggered) fitment is the factory and recommended configuration on every Elantra, including the N.
The Elantra N Line (2021-2023) is a styling and suspension package that sits between the standard Elantra and the Elantra N. The N Line uses the same brake package as the standard CN7 Elantra in our catalog, so it shares the same aftermarket fitment window as the rest of the 2021 and up Elantra range. The Elantra N is the only variant where the brake package materially changes the aftermarket wheel inner-barrel requirement.

How We Confirm Fitment on Hyundai Elantra Wheels
Element Wheels measures fitment on the platforms we sell wheels for, including the modern Elantra and the Elantra N. For the Elantra that means clearance from the wheel to the fender, gap between the back of the wheel and the front suspension, brake caliper height across the trim lineup including the slightly oversized front caliper on the Elantra N, hub bore confirmation on the 67.1mm hub, lug seat geometry across the 4-lug and 5-lug eras, and turning clearance at full lock. At our fitment facility in Chandler, Arizona, the Element Wheels team measures directly on the physical platforms we support. We don't pull specs from manufacturer sheets the way most retailers do.
Hyundai Elantra Wheels and Rims FAQ
What is the bolt pattern on a Hyundai Elantra?
It depends on the year. 1992-2006 Elantra: 4-lug 4x114.3 with a 67.1mm hub bore and M12x1.5 thread. 2007 and up Elantra: 5-lug 5x114.3 with the same 67.1mm hub bore and M12x1.5 thread. The 4-lug to 5-lug transition happened with the 2007 model year sedan. The imperial nickname for 5x114.3 on the modern Elantra is 5x4.5 (114.3mm equals 4.5 inches). The two pattern eras do not interchange. Always confirm by year before ordering.
Is 5x114.3 the same as 5x115 on an Elantra?
No. 5x114.3 and 5x115 are different bolt patterns and the wheels do not interchange. The two patterns sit only 0.7mm apart but the lug studs do not line up across that spacing. 5x115 lives on some American sedans like the Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger LX, and Dodge Challenger. 5x114.3 lives on the modern Hyundai-Kia compact lineup including the Elantra, plus the Honda Civic, Nissan Altima, Toyota Camry, and Mazda6. The 5x4.5 imperial nickname refers specifically to 5x114.3 (114.3mm equals 4.5 inches), not 5x115. Stick to 5x114.3 / 5x4.5 specifically on a 2007 and up Elantra.
Does the Elantra N run different wheels than a base Elantra?
Same 5x114.3 bolt pattern and 67.1mm hub bore as the rest of the Elantra range, but the slightly oversized front brake on the Elantra N means inner-barrel clearance is tighter on the front wheel. The bolt-on fitment math is the same as a base CN7 Elantra, but the wheel design (spoke geometry, inner-barrel shape) needs to clear the bigger front caliper. We measure the Elantra N as a separate fitment row in our catalog because of the brake clearance change.
Does the Elantra N Line use the same wheels as the Elantra N?
The N Line and N are different cars. The Elantra N Line (2021-2023) is a styling and suspension package that uses the same brake setup as the standard CN7 Elantra. The Elantra N (2022 and up) is the full performance variant with a turbocharged 2.0L engine and a slightly oversized front brake. Both share the 5x114.3 / 67.1mm / M12x1.5 hub spec, but in our catalog the N Line sits in the standard CN7 fitment row and the N sits in its own row because of the brake clearance change.
Are Hyundai Elantra wheels staggered?
No. Every Elantra generation runs square (same width front and rear) from the factory, including the Elantra N. The Elantra is a front-wheel-drive compact sedan across every generation, and the chassis is engineered around a square wheel and tire setup. Our aftermarket window respects that and we do not recommend staggered fitment on an Elantra.
What is the largest wheel I can fit on a Hyundai Elantra?
Our measured aftermarket window tops at 20 inch across every Elantra generation from the 4th gen HD (2007-2010) through the current CN7, including the N Line and the N. The 4-lug eras (1992-2006) top at 18 inch. Most aftermarket Elantra upgrades on the CN7 land at 18, 19, or 20 inch. Above 20 inch, tire sourcing gets thin and the fender clearance margin disappears under suspension travel.
Will Toyota or Honda wheels fit a Hyundai Elantra on the same 5x114.3 pattern?
Bolt pattern crosses but hub bore does not. 5x114.3 is one of the most common 5-lug patterns in the modern automotive market, so wheels marketed for a Toyota Camry, Honda Civic, or Nissan Altima physically bolt up to a 2007 and up Elantra. But Toyota uses a 60.1mm centerbore and Honda uses 64.1mm, both smaller than the Elantra's 67.1mm hub. A wheel built with a Toyota or Honda centerbore will not hub-center on an Elantra without a hub centric ring. Wheels listed for an Elantra use the 67.1mm centerbore by default.
Do I need hub centric rings on a Hyundai Elantra?
Hub centric rings only when the aftermarket wheel has a centerbore larger than 67.1mm. If your fitment needs rings, they'll be included with the order.
