The current Sonata (2020 and up) sits on the Hyundai-Kia N3 platform, which it shares with the Kia K5 as a same-chassis sibling. The Hyundai Sonata Bolt Pattern

The Sonata has one bolt pattern transition in its US lifespan: the 4-lug to 5-lug move that happened with the 2006 model year. 1995-2005 Sonatas use 4x114.3 with a 67.1mm hub bore, 12x1.5 thread, and 4 lugs. 2006 and up Sonatas use 5x114.3 with the same 67.1mm hub bore and 12x1.5 thread, but with 5 lugs. The hub bore and thread pitch stayed constant across the transition, but the lug count and pattern changed, so wheels do not cross the 2005 to 2006 boundary.

On the modern (2006 and up) Sonata, the imperial nickname for 5x114.3 is 5x4.5, since 114.3mm equals exactly 4.5 inches. It is one of the most common 5-lug patterns in the modern automotive market and runs across most of the Hyundai-Kia mid-size sedan and crossover lineup.

One detail that catches buyers: 5x114.3 is NOT the same as 5x115 used on some American sedans (the Chrysler 300, the Dodge Charger LX, the Buick Lucerne). The two patterns sit only 0.7mm apart but they do not bolt across. The lug studs will not line up at that spacing. The 5x4.5 nickname refers specifically to 5x114.3 (114.3mm equals 4.5 inches). Wheels marketed as "5x4.5" without a metric callout are 5x114.3 wheels, which is the correct modern Sonata pattern. Stick to 5x114.3 / 5x4.5 specifically on a 2006 and up Sonata.

The current Sonata (2020 and up, DN8 generation) shares the Hyundai-Kia N3 platform with the Kia K5 as a same-chassis sibling. The two sedans carry the same bolt pattern, hub bore, and thread pitch, and the aftermarket fitment window is essentially the same on both. Sonata Generations and the N Line Variant

The 5-lug era of the Sonata covers five generations in the US market. The NF (2006-2010) was the first 5-lug Sonata. The YF (2011-2014) introduced the signature fluidic sculpture body work. The LF (2015-2019) shifted to a more conservative shape. The DN8 (2020 and up) is the current car, with the most aggressive styling Hyundai has put on the Sonata to date. The Sonata N Line, available on the 2021-2023 cars, is a performance-oriented variant of the DN8 with a 2.5T turbocharged engine and sportier styling. The N Line uses the same 5x114.3 bolt pattern, 67.1mm hub bore, and 12x1.5 thread as the rest of the Sonata lineup. In our catalog the N Line fits within the same aftermarket window as the standard 2020 and up Sonata. Bolt pattern and hub bore are uniform across every modern Sonata trim, so the wheel that fits a base Sonata will bolt to an N Line.

The Sonata is a square (non-staggered) car across every modern generation, including the N Line. The same wheel spec works front and rear. There is no factory stagger on the Sonata and our aftermarket window respects that. The Sonata is also a front wheel drive sedan throughout its history. An all wheel drive variant has been offered in some markets but the US lineup is front wheel drive only across these generations, including the N Line.
