The Infiniti M Series is Infiniti's full-size luxury sport sedan, sold from 2003 through 2013 across three generations before Infiniti renamed it to Q70 for the 2014 model year. The M45 (2003-2005) is the Y34 first generation, derived from the Nissan Gloria. The M35 and M45 (2006-2010) are the Y50 second generation, the all-new Infiniti M built on the FM platform shared with the G35/G37 and the FX crossover. The M37 and M56 (2011-2013) are the Y51 third generation, sold globally as the Nissan Fuga and carried forward into the 2014 Q70 rename. The M Series Bolt Pattern and the M-to-Q70 Rename

Every Infiniti M35, M37, M45, and M56 runs the 5x114.3 bolt pattern, also called 5x4.5 imperial (114.3mm = 4.5 inches exactly), with a 66.1mm factory hub bore and 12x1.25 lug thread. The pattern is consistent across all three generations and every trim. The Y50 M35/M45 and the Y51 M37/M56 both sit on the Nissan FM platform, the same architecture used under the Infiniti G35/G37 sedan and coupe and the FX crossover. A wheel built for one M Series generation will bolt onto another at the lug-hole level. What changes between generations is the brake clearance, the suspension geometry, and the measured aftermarket window.

A cross-pattern caution that applies to every 5x114.3 platform: 5x114.3 is NOT the same as the 5x115 pattern used on Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger LX, and similar American sedans. The two patterns sit roughly 0.7mm apart and are not interchangeable, even though the difference sounds tiny. The imperial nickname 5x4.5 refers only to 5x114.3 (because 114.3mm = 4.5 inches exactly). Calling 5x115 "5x4.5" is wrong and forcing a 5x115 wheel onto a 5x114.3 hub puts the stud loading off-center, which is a safety issue. Stick to wheels listed for 5x114.3 specifically.

Infiniti renamed the M Series to Q70 for the 2014 model year under the Q-and-QX naming convention change. The 2014 Q70 is the renamed Y51 M37/M56, carried forward on the same Y51 chassis under the new badge. Specs and chassis stayed the same at the rename. The Q70 ran from 2014 through the 2019 model year before discontinuation, as Infiniti shifted to an SUV-only US lineup. This M Series hub covers the original M nameplate from 2003 through 2013. Why the Y34, Y50, and Y51 Generations Need Their Own Fitment Windows

The Y34 M45 (2003-2005) is the first-generation Infiniti M sold in the US, a rebadged version of the Japanese-market Nissan Gloria. It is the smallest and earliest of the three M Series generations and was only sold for three model years before Infiniti replaced it with the all-new Y50 M for 2006. The Y50 M35 and M45 (2006-2010) introduced the FM-platform Infiniti M, the same chassis architecture used under the G35/G37 and the FX crossover. The Y51 M37 and M56 (2011-2013) are the third generation, larger and more powerful than the Y50, and carry a larger sport brake package across both M37 and M56 trims in our active catalog. The Y51 is also the platform that carried into the 2014 Q70 rename, so its chassis lives on under the Q70 badge.

Drivetrain matters in a specific way on the FM-platform M: RWD M Series cars accept staggered fitment as an option, where a wider rear wheel sits behind a narrower front. AWD M Series cars are non-staggered (must be square). Running a wider rear on an AWD M puts uneven rolling diameter into the transfer case and damages the drivetrain over time. The aftermarket staggered pattern on a RWD M is a looks decision more than a performance one. The wider rear lets you run a more concave face or a deeper lip in back without poking past the fender. If you have an AWD M, plan on a square setup. If you have a RWD M, the wider rear is on the table.
