Infiniti Q40 and Q45 Aftermarket Wheel Fitment

The Infiniti Q40 and Q45 are two very different Infiniti sedans grouped under one hub because they share the same bolt pattern and hub bore. The Q40 (2014-2015) is the renamed G37 Sedan, a compact luxury sedan on the V36 chassis carried forward for two final model years under the new Q-and-QX naming convention. The Q45 (1999-2006 in our active catalog) is the Infiniti flagship full-size sedan, related to the Nissan Cima in Japan, covering the F50 era and the Y34 third generation that ended Q45 production after the 2006 model year. Element Wheels measures fitment on both platforms separately. Every Q40 and Q45 we catalog runs 5x114.3 with a 66.1mm hub bore, so the bolt math is the same, but track widths, fender profiles, and brake packages are completely different between the two cars. Pick your nameplate below and we'll show wheels and rims measured for your specific car.

Find Your Infiniti Q40 or Q45

Pick your nameplate and generation to see wheels and rims that fit. Bolt pattern is 5x114.3 / 66.1mm hub bore across both Q40 and Q45 in our catalog. What changes between the two cars is the size of the car itself, the fender profile, and the staggered-vs-square fitment.

The Q40 and Q45 Bolt Pattern and Why Two Different Cars Share This Hub

Every Infiniti Q40 and Q45 we catalog runs the 5x114.3 bolt pattern, also called 5x4.5 imperial (114.3mm = 4.5 inches exactly), with a 66.1mm factory hub bore. The pattern is consistent across both nameplates and is the long-running Nissan and Infiniti rear-drive luxury standard. A wheel built for one car will bolt onto the other at the lug-hole level. What is different is everything else: the Q40 is a compact luxury sport sedan and the Q45 is a full-size flagship sedan. The fender profile, the track width, and the brake clearance are not the same. We measure both platforms separately even though the bolt math matches.

A cross-pattern caution that applies to every 5x114.3 platform: 5x114.3 is NOT the same as the 5x115 pattern used on Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger LX, and similar American sedans. The two patterns sit roughly 0.7mm apart and are not interchangeable, even though the difference sounds tiny. The imperial nickname 5x4.5 refers only to 5x114.3 (because 114.3mm = 4.5 inches exactly). Calling 5x115 "5x4.5" is wrong and forcing a 5x115 wheel onto a 5x114.3 hub puts the stud loading off-center, which is a safety issue. Stick to wheels listed for 5x114.3 specifically.

The Q40 (2014-2015) is the renamed G37 Sedan. Infiniti changed its naming convention for the 2014 model year, moving from the alphanumeric format (G37, M37, FX35, EX35) to the Q-and-QX scheme. The 2014-2015 Q40 is the V36 chassis carried forward under the new badge, on the same platform as the 2008-2013 G37 Sedan. The Q40 was only sold for two model years (2014 and 2015) while the all-new Q50 launched alongside it. The Q40 was dropped after 2015 and the Q50 carried the compact luxury sedan lineup forward.

The Q45 is Infiniti's discontinued full-size flagship sedan. The catalog covers the F50 refresh (1999-2001) and the Y34 third-generation Q45 (2002-2006), which is the rebadged Nissan Cima sold in the US under Infiniti. Infiniti ended Q45 production after the 2006 model year and never replaced it directly. The full-size flagship slot moved to the Infiniti M series and later to the Q70. The 1990-1996 first-generation Q45 (G50, the original Cima-based flagship) is outside our active fitment catalog. Compare across the rest of the lineup at our Infiniti wheels and rims hub.

Why the Q40 and Q45 Need Their Own Measured Fitment Windows

The Q40 is a compact luxury sport sedan based on the V36 chassis. It is the renamed G37 Sedan and inherits the same RWD platform. Like the G37 Sedan and the Q50 RWD that replaced it, the Q40 supports an optional staggered fitment, where a wider rear wheel sits behind a slightly narrower front. That is a looks decision more than a performance one and it works on this platform because the rear track has the room. The Q40 was only built for two model years, so used examples are the only way to find one. We measure on the V36 chassis directly.

The Q45 is a different beast. It is a full-size luxury flagship sedan with a longer wheelbase and a wider track than the compact Q40. The F50 and Y34 generations covered in our catalog (1999-2006) run a square setup with the same wheel width and offset front and rear. The fender clearance, the brake caliper height, and the suspension geometry are all measured separately from the compact Q-line. Q45 buyers tend to keep the car close to factory diameter, in the 17 to 19 inch range, where the ride quality the car was designed for stays intact.

Element Wheels Measured Aftermarket Fitment, Infiniti Q40 and Q45

Publishable factory and wheel specs across the Q40 and Q45 catalog rows:

  • Q40 V36 (2014-2015, renamed G37 Sedan): 5x114.3 bolt pattern, 66.1mm hub bore, 12x1.25 thread. Element aftermarket diameter range: 17-20 inch. Aftermarket width: 7-9 inch front, 8-10.5 inch rear. Optional staggered fitment.
  • Q45 F50 / Y34 (1999-2006, flagship sedan): 5x114.3 bolt pattern, 66.1mm hub bore, 12x1.25 thread. Element aftermarket diameter range: 17-20 inch. Aftermarket width: 7-9 inch square. Non-staggered (square setup).

For your exact aftermarket offset, three options:

  • 1. Use our Year/Make/Model search to see wheels that fit your specific Q40 or Q45 (each listing shows its own offset).
  • 2. Browse the Q40/Q45 wheel gallery for real-life builds with size, offset, and tire spec captions.
  • 3. Call or chat with our team for a free fitment consultation.

Every wheel we recommend is backed by our Fitment Guarantee. If a wheel does not fit, we pick up the wheels and refund 100 percent. No risk to you.

How We Confirm Fitment on Infiniti Q40 and Q45 Wheels

Element Wheels measures fitment on the platforms we sell wheels for, including both the compact Q40 and the full-size Q45. For this hub that means clearance from the wheel to the fender, gap between the back of the wheel and the suspension, brake caliper height, hub protrusion, lug seat depth, and the staggered-vs-square fitment math on the Q40. The Q40 and Q45 share a bolt pattern but the cars themselves are very different sizes, so we measure each one on its own chassis. At our fitment facility in Chandler, Arizona, the Element Wheels team measures directly on the physical platforms we support. We don't pull specs from manufacturer sheets the way most retailers do. That measurement work is what produced the model-specific fitment windows on this page.

Infiniti Q40 and Q45 Wheels and Rims FAQ

What is the bolt pattern on an Infiniti Q40 or Q45?

Every Q40 (2014-2015) and Q45 (1999-2006 in our catalog) runs 5x114.3 (also called 5x4.5 imperial, because 114.3mm = 4.5 inches exactly) with a 66.1mm hub bore. The pattern is consistent across both nameplates. What changes between the two cars is the size of the chassis, the fender profile, and the staggered-vs-square setup, not the bolt math.

Is the 2014 Q40 the same car as the G37 Sedan?

Essentially yes. The Q40 (2014-2015) is the renamed G37 Sedan, carried forward on the V36 chassis under the 2014 Infiniti naming convention change, when Infiniti moved from the alphanumeric format (G37, M37, FX35) to the Q-and-QX scheme. Chassis, drivetrain, and most fitment characteristics match the 2008-2013 G37 Sedan. The Q40 was only sold for two model years (2014 and 2015) while the all-new Q50 launched alongside it.

Can a wheel that fits a Q40 also fit a Q45?

The bolt pattern matches (5x114.3 / 66.1mm on both). But that does not mean fitment is interchangeable. The Q40 is a compact luxury sport sedan on the V36 chassis. The Q45 is a full-size luxury flagship sedan with a longer wheelbase, a wider track, and different fender geometry. A wheel that fit a Q40 will not always sit the same on a Q45 even when the lug holes line up. We measure each platform separately and the Year/Make/Model search returns only wheels fit-tested on your specific car.

Can I stagger my Q40?

Yes. The Q40 is RWD on the V36 chassis and accepts staggered fitment as an option, where a wider rear wheel sits behind a slightly narrower front. The reason customers do it is visual: the wider rear lets you run a more concave face or a deeper lip in back without poking past the fender. The Element measured aftermarket front-rear width split on the Q40 ranges to 9.5 or 10.5 inch in the rear with a 7 to 9 inch front.

Can I stagger my Q45?

Our active Q45 catalog row is square, not staggered. The Q45 is a full-size luxury flagship sedan and Q45 buyers tend to keep the car close to its factory ride and stance. Square setups also make tire rotation simple, which matters on a car that gets used for long-distance driving. If you have a Q45 and want to explore a staggered look outside the standard window, contact our team for a free fitment consultation before ordering.

What is the largest wheel I can fit on a Q40 or Q45?

Our Element-measured aftermarket window tops at 20 inch across both the Q40 and the Q45 catalog rows. Most aftermarket Q40 builds land at 19 or 20 inch. The Q45 sees more activity in the 18 to 19 inch range, since the flagship sedan was designed around long-wheelbase ride quality and large-diameter low-profile tire setups push that compromise the wrong way.

Do I need hub centric rings on an Infiniti Q40 or Q45?

Hub centric rings only when the aftermarket wheel has a centerbore larger than 66.1mm. The 66.1mm hub bore is consistent across every Q40 and Q45 generation we catalog. If your fitment needs rings, they'll be included with the order.

How do I find the right wheels for my specific Q40 or Q45 build?

Two steps on this hub. Confirm your nameplate: Q40 if you have the 2014 or 2015 V36 compact sport sedan (the renamed G37 Sedan), Q45 if you have the F50 or Y34 flagship sedan from 1999 through 2006. Use our Year/Make/Model search to see wheels that fit your specific car (each listing shows its own offset) and browse the wheel gallery for real-life builds. If you have a lowered car, an aggressive offset target, or a Q45 outside the standard window, contact our team for a free fitment consultation. Every wheel we recommend is backed by the Fitment Guarantee.
