The Q70 Bolt Pattern and the M to Q70 Rename

Every Infiniti Q70 and Q70L from 2014 through 2019 runs the 5x114.3 bolt pattern, also called 5x4.5 imperial (114.3mm = 4.5 inches exactly), with a 66.1mm factory hub bore. The pattern is consistent across the standard Q70, the long-wheelbase Q70L, every drivetrain, and every trim. A wheel built for one Q70 variant will bolt onto another at the lug-hole level. What changes between variants is brake clearance, drivetrain stagger constraints, and the sport-brake clearance on the Q70 5.6, not the bolt math.

A cross-pattern caution that applies to every 5x114.3 platform: 5x114.3 is NOT the same as the 5x115 pattern used on Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger LX, and similar American sedans. The two patterns sit roughly 0.7mm apart and are not interchangeable, even though the difference sounds tiny. The imperial nickname 5x4.5 refers only to 5x114.3 (because 114.3mm = 4.5 inches exactly). Calling 5x115 "5x4.5" is wrong and forcing a 5x115 wheel onto a 5x114.3 hub puts the stud loading off-center, which is a safety issue. Stick to wheels listed for 5x114.3 specifically.

The Q70 is the renamed Infiniti M. Infiniti changed its naming convention for the 2014 model year, moving from the alphanumeric format (M37, M56, G37, FX35, EX35) to the Q-and-QX scheme. The Y51-chassis M37 and M56 from 2011 through 2013 carried forward into the 2014 Q70 under the new badge, with the V6 becoming the Q70 3.7 and the V8 becoming the Q70 5.6. The Y51 chassis ran through 2019, when Infiniti ended the Q70 lineup. The earlier Y50-chassis M35 and M45 (2006-2010) and the original M30 and M37 generations live on the Infiniti M nameplate hub. If you have a 2011-2013 M37 or M56, the chassis is the same as the 2014-2019 Q70 but the car was sold under the M badge. Why Drivetrain and Engine Matter on the Q70

The Y51 Q70 splits cleanly into the V6 cars (Q70 3.7 RWD, Q70 3.7 AWD, Q70 Hybrid) and the V8 car (Q70 5.6). Each has its own measured fitment window. The Q70 5.6 V8 ships with a larger sport brake package than the V6 cars. That is normal on a performance variant. The front axle does the majority of the braking work, and Infiniti scales the front rotor and caliper accordingly when an extra hundred horsepower is sitting over the front axle. The larger front caliper takes more inner clearance behind the front wheel face, so the diameter floor and offset window shift on the Q70 5.6.

Drivetrain matters in a specific way: AWD is non-staggered (same wheel and tire front and rear), while RWD supports an optional staggered fitment. AWD-must-be-square is a drivetrain constraint, not a clearance one. Running a wider rear on an AWD Q70 puts uneven rolling diameter into the transfer case and damages the drivetrain over time. If you have an AWD Q70, plan on a square setup. If you have a RWD Q70 3.7 or a Q70 5.6, the wider rear is on the table. The long-wheelbase Q70L runs the same fitment math as the standard-wheelbase Q70 of the matching drivetrain and engine.
