The QX70 Bolt Pattern and the FX-to-QX70 Rename

Every Infiniti QX70 runs the 5x114.3 bolt pattern, also called 5x4.5 imperial (114.3mm = 4.5 inches exactly), with a 66.1mm factory hub bore and 12x1.25 lug thread. The pattern is consistent across all five QX70 model years. The QX70 sits on the Nissan FM platform, the same architecture used under the Nissan 350Z (2003-2009) and 370Z (2009-2020), the Infiniti G35 / G37 sedan and coupe, and the earlier Infiniti FX line. Bolt math matches across the FM-platform family. Track widths, fender profiles, and ride heights are completely different between a midsize crossover and a sports coupe, so wheels do not just cross between a QX70 and a 370Z even though the lug holes line up. A cross-pattern caution that applies to every 5x114.3 platform: 5x114.3 is NOT the same as the 5x115 pattern used on Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger LX, and similar American sedans. The two patterns sit roughly 0.7mm apart and are not interchangeable, even though the difference sounds tiny. The imperial nickname 5x4.5 refers only to 5x114.3 (because 114.3mm = 4.5 inches exactly). Calling 5x115 "5x4.5" is wrong and forcing a 5x115 wheel onto a 5x114.3 hub puts the stud loading off-center, which is a safety issue. Stick to wheels listed for 5x114.3 specifically.

Infiniti renamed the FX to QX70 for the 2014 model year under the Q-and-QX naming convention change. The 2014 QX70 is the carried-forward 2nd generation S51 FX chassis under the new badge, not a new vehicle. Specs and chassis stayed the same at the rename. The QX70 ran from 2014 through 2018 before Infiniti discontinued the nameplate without a direct replacement. Why the QX70 Runs Square and What That Means for Fitment

The QX70 runs a square setup, with the same wheel and tire dimensions front and rear, because it is an AWD luxury crossover. A wider rear on an AWD vehicle puts uneven rolling diameter into the AWD system and damages the drivetrain over time. The QX70 carried the FM-platform AWD architecture forward from the 2nd-gen FX, so the rule is the same. The aftermarket pattern on this car is large diameter with a square setup, typically 20, 22, or 24 inch. Most aftermarket QX70 builds land at 22 inch, which balances aggressive stance with ride quality on the FM platform. 20 inch stays closest to factory ride quality. 24 inch is reachable on this car but only with the right offset and tire profile to keep the wheel inside the fender on a fully loaded chassis.
