The Jaguar I-Pace Bolt Pattern

Every Jaguar I-Pace we measure uses a 5x108 bolt pattern (also called 5x4.25 inch, because 108mm equals 4.25 inch) with a 63.4mm hub bore. That covers every trim and every model year from 2019 through 2024. Lug count is five and the thread pitch is M14x1.5. The 5x108 pattern is the standard Jaguar and Land Rover spec of this era, shared with the Jaguar XE, XF, XJ, F-Pace, E-Pace, F-Type, and with the Range Rover Evoque, Velar, and Discovery Sport. The I-Pace is the unusual Jaguar in this group because the rest ride on shared JLR architectures, while the I-Pace uses a bespoke aluminum EV platform engineered specifically for the electric powertrain. The bolt pattern and hub bore stayed with the Jaguar standard, so wheel math carries across the brand, but the platform itself does not.

The factory wheel hardware on the I-Pace is lug bolts at M14x1.5 thread pitch, threading directly into the hub. That is the standard European convention on Jaguar and Land Rover SUVs of this era. Bolt seat depth and thread length need to be confirmed for each aftermarket wheel because the bolt has to clear the seat depth on the wheel and reach the correct thread engagement in the hub. We measure that directly.

How EV Weight Shapes I-Pace Wheel Selection

The I-Pace sits near 4,800 lb of curb weight, several hundred pounds heavier than a gas powered F-Pace of similar exterior footprint, because of the 90 kWh battery pack mounted between the axles. EV weight has two implications for aftermarket wheel selection. First, the wheel itself has to be rated for the heavier load. We only carry I-Pace fitments from wheels with sufficient per wheel load ratings for an EV in this curb weight class. Second, the I-Pace ships from the factory on 20 or 22 inch diameter wheels with relatively wide tire footprints. Going smaller than 20 inch aftermarket is generally not the right move on this car because the brake package and the contact patch were engineered around a 20 inch minimum.

Front and rear brake packages on the I-Pace are equally sized, which is normal on a dual-motor EV that uses regenerative braking heavily on both axles. There is no front larger or rear larger split to design around. Fitment runs square: 20 to 22 inch diameter, 8 to 9 inch width front and rear. Customers picking a 22 inch wheel get the most aggressive factory style look. Customers staying at 20 inch usually prioritize ride comfort, range preservation, and a wider tire selection at price tier.
