The Gladiator is built on the same JL platform as the Jeep Wrangler with a longer wheelbase and a pickup bed bolted to the back, which makes it a same-chassis variant rather than its own platform. The fitment rules that apply to the JL Wrangler largely apply to the Gladiator, with one key difference: the longer wheelbase and the bed change the practical lift-and-tire windows compared to a Wrangler of the same trim. The Jeep Gladiator Bolt Pattern and Wrangler Chassis Link

Every Gladiator runs 5x127 (also called 5x5) with a 71.5mm hub bore. This is the same bolt pattern Jeep uses on the JK and JL Wrangler, and it makes sense: the Gladiator is built on the JL Wrangler platform with a longer wheelbase and a factory pickup bed instead of the JL's rear cargo area. Within the JL family, wheels that bolt onto a Wrangler will bolt onto a Gladiator. Whether the offset and width work for the Gladiator is the next question. The 5x127 pattern is shared with the Jeep Grand Cherokee from 1999 onward and with the JK and JL Wrangler. As with the Wrangler, bolt pattern compatibility is not the same as fitment: a wheel built for a high-offset platform like the Grand Cherokee can tuck too far inside the Gladiator's fender or hit the suspension.

The Gladiator vs Wrangler distinction matters more on the lift-and-tire side than on the bolt pattern. The Gladiator's longer wheelbase and rear pickup bed change the rear weight distribution, the rear suspension geometry, and the rear fender clearance compared to a JL Wrangler. Why Gladiator Rubicon and Non-Rubicon Fitment Differ

The Gladiator Rubicon ships from the factory with a different front axle, different brake hardware, and a more aggressive suspension setup than the Sport, Sport S, and Overland trims. The Rubicon also runs a slightly larger 33 inch factory tire and a higher ride height. Those differences change the practical fitment window. The Rubicon at stock height accepts a wider range of offsets than a stock non-Rubicon. With a 2-3 inch lift, the Rubicon's window tightens slightly because the larger factory tire already uses some of the available room. The Mojave is the desert-tuned variant introduced in 2020 with FOX shocks and a wider track; for wheel fitment, the Mojave matches the non-Rubicon row.

Lift fitment on the Gladiator is the other major variable. The 2-3 inch lift opens up 35 inch tire territory on the non-Rubicon. Larger lifts and 37 inch tires are possible but require attention to the rear bed clearance and the rear axle geometry that are different from a Wrangler.
