Lexus GS Aftermarket Wheel Fitment
The Lexus GS is Lexus's mid-size luxury sport sedan, produced across four generations from the 1993 GS 300 through the final 2020 model year, when Lexus discontinued the GS worldwide. Element Wheels measures fitment across the full GS run, from the 1st gen GS 300 (1993-1997) through the 4th gen GS 200t, GS 300, GS 350, and GS 450h (2013-2020), plus the high-performance GS F (2016-2020). Fitment is simpler on the GS than on the LS: every Lexus GS generation runs the same 5x114.3 bolt pattern with a 60.1mm hub bore, including the V8-powered GS F. What changes generation to generation and trim to trim is the brake package, the wheel diameter window, and how aggressive the rear staggered fitment runs. The GS F is the standout because the factory Brembo brake package is taller and the aftermarket window is narrower than on any other GS. Pick your generation below for the fitment specs that apply to your specific GS.
Find Your Lexus GS Generation
Pick your generation and trim to see wheels and rims that fit your specific GS. The bolt pattern is constant at 5x114.3 across every Lexus GS, so trim and brake package are the variables that shape the aftermarket window. The 3rd and 4th gen sport-trim cars (GS 350, GS 460, GS 450h, and the GS F) carry a larger front brake than rear, which raises the minimum aftermarket diameter on those trims.
The Lexus GS Bolt Pattern
Every Lexus GS uses 5x114.3 with a 60.1mm hub bore. That holds from the 1st gen GS 300 (1993-1997) through every 2nd gen GS 300, GS 400, and GS 430 (1998-2005), every 3rd gen GS 300, GS 350, GS 430, GS 460, and GS 450h (2006-2011), every 4th gen GS 200t, GS 300, GS 350, and GS 450h (2013-2020), and the high-performance GS F (2016-2020). The 5x114.3 pattern is also written as 5x4.5 in imperial; that imperial nickname refers ONLY to 5x114.3 (114.3mm = 4.5 inches) and not to 5x115. A wheel listed for 5x115 (Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger LX, current Mustang on some trims) will NOT bolt onto a Lexus GS, even though the difference reads as less than a millimeter. The hub bore stays 60.1mm across every GS generation, so the lug-stress geometry is consistent across the entire 27-year run.
Where the GS differs from its larger Lexus LS sibling is the bolt-pattern history. The LS moved from 5x114.3 (LS 400 and LS 430) to 5x120 starting with the 2007 LS 460 redesign. The GS never made that transition. Every GS from the original 1993 GS 300 through the final 2020 GS 350 and GS F stayed on 5x114.3. If you have ever shopped wheels for both the LS and the GS, do not assume a wheel from a 2010 LS 460 will fit a 2010 GS 460. The LS is 5x120 and the GS is 5x114.3; they share a hub bore (60.1mm) but the bolt circles are different and the wheels do not cross. Compare across the rest of the Lexus lineup at our Lexus wheels and rims hub.
Why the Sport Trims and the GS F Run Tighter Fitment
Three of the four GS generations carry trims with a front brake package larger than the rear, which is normal on a performance-leaning luxury sedan; the front axle does the majority of braking and Lexus sizes the front rotor and caliper accordingly. The 1st and 2nd gen GS 300/400/430 run a matched front-rear brake package; the 3rd gen GS 350, GS 460, and GS 450h step the front brake up; the 4th gen GS 200t, GS 300, GS 350, and GS 450h also run a larger front than rear; and the GS F (2016-2020) carries the most aggressive brake hardware in the lineup, with the front caliper sized for the 5.0L V8 and a rear sized to match. That brake split is what shapes the aftermarket diameter floor on each variant. The smaller 1st and 2nd gen GS happily run a 16 inch wheel as a minimum; the 3rd and 4th gen sport trims start at 18 inch; the GS F is locked at 20 inch.
The GS F also runs the most aggressive staggered window of any GS. The factory pairs a 9 inch front with a 10 inch rear on the GS F, and our aftermarket window stretches to a 9.5 inch front and 11 inch rear. The other GS trims accept staggered as an option (we recommend it for the visual line, but a square setup also works on the base GS 300, GS 350, and GS 460). The GS F is the one trim where we recommend keeping the staggered setup as designed.

For your exact aftermarket offset, three options:
- 1. Use our Year/Make/Model search to see wheels that fit your specific GS (each listing shows its own offset).
- 2. Browse the GS wheel gallery for real-life builds with size, offset, and tire spec captions.
- 3. Call or chat with our team for a free fitment consultation.
One detail worth surfacing for GS shoppers: Lexus discontinued the GS worldwide after the 2020 model year. There is no current-production GS and no announced successor. That means GS wheel fitment is a closed historical question with a fixed year span (1993-2020). The aftermarket selection is mature and the fitment windows are not going to change. Every wheel we recommend is backed by our Fitment Guarantee. If a wheel does not fit, we pick up the wheels and refund 100 percent. No risk to you.
How We Confirm Fitment on Lexus GS Wheels
Element Wheels measures fitment on the platforms we sell wheels for, including every GS generation from the 1993 GS 300 through the 2020 GS F. For the GS that means clearance from the wheel to the fender, gap between the back of the wheel and the suspension, brake caliper height (front and rear, with the GS F front caliper being the largest in the GS lineup), hub bore confirmation, lug seat geometry, and turning clearance with the wheel and tire installed. At our fitment facility in Chandler, Arizona, the Element Wheels team measures directly on the physical platforms we support. We don't pull specs from manufacturer sheets the way most retailers do.
That measurement work is what produced the chassis-specific and brake-specific fitment windows on this page, including the 20 inch minimum diameter on the GS F. It is also why every wheel we recommend is backed by our Fitment Guarantee.
Lexus GS Wheels and Rims FAQ
What is the bolt pattern on a Lexus GS?
Every Lexus GS uses 5x114.3 with a 60.1mm hub bore. That holds across the 1st gen GS 300 (1993-1997), 2nd gen GS 300/400/430 (1998-2005), 3rd gen GS 300/350/430/460/450h (2006-2011), 4th gen GS 200t/300/350/450h (2013-2020), and the GS F (2016-2020). Unlike the LS, the GS never moved to 5x120; it stayed on 5x114.3 for the entire model run.
Will Lexus LS wheels fit a Lexus GS?
Only the older LS. An LS 400 (1990-2000) or LS 430 (2001-2006) is 5x114.3 / 60.1mm and bolts to a GS of the same era in terms of stud pattern. But every LS from the 2007 LS 460 forward is on 5x120; those wheels do not fit any GS, because the GS never moved off 5x114.3. A modern LS 460, LS 600h, or LS 500 wheel will not bolt onto a 4th gen GS or the GS F.
Why is the GS F locked at 20 inch as a minimum?
The GS F carries a Brembo-class front brake package matched to the 5.0L V8, and the front caliper is tall enough that no 18 or 19 inch aftermarket wheel we have measured clears it. The 20 inch minimum is what the brake hardware allows. The factory wheel on a GS F is also a 20 inch, so the floor matches OEM. If you want anything smaller than 20 on a GS F, the only path is a non-OEM brake conversion, which is outside the scope of an aftermarket wheel purchase.
Is the GS F the same fitment as a 4th gen GS 350 F Sport?
No. The GS F (2016-2020) is a different car from the GS 350 F Sport trim option. Bolt pattern matches (5x114.3 / 60.1mm) and both share the 4th gen chassis, but the GS F runs a larger front brake, a wider factory front-and-rear wheel pairing, and a tighter aftermarket window. A wheel sized for a GS 350 F Sport will not clear the GS F's front brake in most cases. Element measures the GS F separately for that reason.
Are Lexus GS wheels staggered?
Optional on every GS except the GS F. The 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gen GS all accept staggered as an option and a square setup also works. We generally recommend staggered for the visual line and for the rear-drive (or rear-biased AWD) chassis. The GS F is the one trim where the factory ships a noticeably wider rear and we recommend keeping the staggered setup as designed. Rear axle weight bias and tire wear on the GS F support the wider rear.
What is the largest wheel I can fit on a Lexus GS?
Our measured aftermarket window tops at 20 inch on every Lexus GS, including the GS F. The GS is a luxury sport sedan and above 20 inch the tire sidewall thins enough that ride quality drops sharply, defeating the point of the platform. The GS F is also locked at 20 inch on the bottom of the window, so the GS F is a 20-inch-only car. For a GS 300, GS 350, or GS 450h, anywhere from 17 to 20 inch works depending on the look you want.
Do I need hub centric rings on a Lexus GS?
Hub centric rings only when the aftermarket wheel has a centerbore larger than 60.1mm. That holds across every Lexus GS generation since the hub bore stays 60.1mm from 1993 through the 2020 GS F. If your fitment needs rings, they'll be included with the order.
How do I find the right wheels for my specific Lexus GS build?
Three steps. Confirm your generation (1st gen 1993-1997, 2nd gen 1998-2005, 3rd gen 2006-2011, 4th gen 2013-2020) and trim (GS 300, GS 400, GS 430, GS 350, GS 460, GS 450h, GS 200t, or GS F). Use our Year/Make/Model search to see wheels that fit your specific GS and browse the wheel gallery for real-life builds. For a GS F or a 3rd/4th gen GS 350 F Sport, contact our team for a free fitment consultation before ordering. Every wheel we recommend is backed by the Fitment Guarantee.
Get Lexus GS Wheels Right the First Time
Pick your generation and trim above to see wheels and rims that fit. We measure on the GS platform across all four generations, separate the sport-trim brake packages where they matter, and carve the GS F out as its own fitment because the front Brembo locks it to a 20 inch wheel. Find your fit and start enjoying your build sooner.
