Lincoln MKS Aftermarket Wheel Fitment
The Lincoln MKS is the full-size luxury sedan Lincoln built from 2009 through 2016 as the luxury counterpart to the Ford Taurus on the Ford D3 (and later D4) platform. Element Wheels tracks MKS fitment across the launch generation (2009-2012) and the facelift generation (2013-2016). Every MKS runs a 5x114.3 bolt pattern with a 63.4mm hub bore. The pattern stays consistent across the entire MKS run. The MKS shares this exact pattern and hub bore with the same-era Ford Taurus and the Ford Flex and the Ford Explorer of the same generation because all share the Ford D3 / D4 full-size platform. Find your year range below and the wheel and rim recommendations follow.
Find Your Lincoln MKS Generation
Pick your year range to see wheels and rims that fit your specific MKS. The bolt pattern stays 5x114.3 and the hub bore stays 63.4mm across the entire production run. The differences across the launch and facelift years are factory wheel sizes, brake hardware on the EcoBoost trims, and the lug thread description on the 2013-2016 cars.
The Lincoln MKS Bolt Pattern
Every Lincoln MKS (2009 through 2016) runs a 5x114.3 bolt pattern with a 63.4mm hub bore. The 5x114.3 spec is also called 5x4.5 in imperial form because 114.3mm equals 4.5 inches. Both notations describe the same pattern. The MKS has never changed bolt pattern across the entire production run because Lincoln kept it on the Ford D3 / D4 full-size sedan platform for its full life.
The MKS shares the 5x114.3 / 63.4mm pattern with the 2010-2019 Ford Taurus and the 2010-2019 Ford Flex because all three vehicles are built on the same Ford D3 (later D4) full-size platform with different bodies. Wheels are cross-shoppable across those three platforms within the same era, with brake clearance, factory wheel diameter, and EcoBoost-trim hardware being the deciding variables. Compare across the rest of the Lincoln lineup at our Lincoln wheels and rims hub.
What Changed Across Lincoln MKS Generations
Two MKS year ranges show up in our catalog and they share the same 5x114.3 / 63.4mm CB spec. The 2009-2012 launch generation ran factory 18 to 20 inch wheels depending on trim, with EcoBoost AWD adding a 20 inch wheel as standard. The 2013 facelift kept the same bolt pattern and hub bore, refined the front-end styling, and shipped factory 19 and 20 inch wheels on most trims. The lug thread on the 2013-2016 cars uses an imperial 1/2 inch by 20 TPI thread that is dimensionally very close to the metric M12x1.5 callout most catalogs list. Both lug descriptions work, but the actual hardware is the imperial 1/2 inch spec.
The aftermarket pattern on the MKS is a balanced looks build. Customers shop the MKS for a more aggressive face style than the factory machined wheel, a one or two inch step up from the dealer wheel, and a deeper concave look that the factory wheel does not deliver. The car is front wheel drive on base trims and all wheel drive on EcoBoost trims. Neither layout calls for a staggered fitment. The aftermarket build stays square with the visual upgrade coming from spoke design, finish, and face concavity.
EcoBoost variant note. The MKS EcoBoost AWD adds the twin turbo 3.5L engine and AWD across the 2010-2016 run. EcoBoost trims carry a larger front brake setup than the base MKS, but the brake hardware fits within our measured aftermarket window. The bolt pattern, hub bore, and offset window match the base MKS. Cross-shop between EcoBoost and base MKS wheels within the same year range with confidence.
How We Confirm Fitment on Lincoln MKS Wheels
Element Wheels measures fitment on the platforms we sell wheels for, including the MKS across both year ranges. For the MKS that means clearance from the wheel to the fender, gap between the back of the wheel and the suspension, brake caliper height (especially on EcoBoost trims), hub protrusion, and lug seat depth, all measured directly on the car. At our fitment facility in Chandler, Arizona, the Element Wheels team measures directly on the physical platforms we support. We do not pull specs from manufacturer sheets the way most retailers do.
Element Wheels Measured Aftermarket Fitment, Lincoln MKS
Publishable factory and wheel specs across the MKS generations:
- 1st Gen Launch (2009-2012): 5x114.3 bolt pattern, 63.4mm hub bore, M12x1.5 lug thread. Ford D3 platform. Element aftermarket diameter range: 18-22 inch. Aftermarket width range: 8-9.5 inch.
- 1st Gen Facelift (2013-2016): 5x114.3 bolt pattern, 63.4mm hub bore, imperial 1/2 inch x 20 TPI lug thread (close to M12x1.5 metric callout). Ford D4 platform. Element aftermarket diameter range: 18-22 inch. Aftermarket width range: 8-9 inch.

Lincoln MKS Wheels and Rims FAQ
What is the bolt pattern on a Lincoln MKS?
Every Lincoln MKS (2009 through 2016) runs a 5x114.3 bolt pattern with a 63.4mm hub bore. The pattern stays consistent across the entire production run. 5x114.3 is also written as 5x4.5 in imperial because 114.3mm equals 4.5 inches.
Will my older MKS wheels fit a newer MKS?
Yes. The 2009-2012 launch generation and the 2013-2016 facelift generation share the same 5x114.3 bolt pattern and 63.4mm hub bore. Wheels cross between the two MKS year ranges within reason, with brake clearance on EcoBoost trims and offset on larger diameter wheels being the variables to confirm.
Will Ford Taurus wheels fit my Lincoln MKS?
Yes, within the same era. The Lincoln MKS is the luxury Lincoln-badged version of the Ford Taurus on the same Ford D3 / D4 full-size sedan platform. The 2010-2019 Ford Taurus and the 2009-2016 MKS both run 5x114.3 with a 63.4mm hub bore. Wheels are cross-shoppable across the two within the same era. Brake clearance on EcoBoost and SHO trims is the main variable to confirm.
What is the largest wheel I can fit on a Lincoln MKS?
Our measured Element aftermarket window tops at 22 inch on every MKS year. 20 inch is the most common aftermarket size because it gives a clear visual upgrade over the factory 19 inch while keeping the tire selection and ride quality reasonable. 22 inch fits with the right offset and tire size on a stock-height MKS.
Are Lincoln MKS wheels staggered?
No. The MKS runs a square (non-staggered) fitment from the factory. Base trims are front wheel drive and EcoBoost trims are all wheel drive, and neither layout benefits from a wider rear wheel. Almost every aftermarket MKS build also runs square.
Do I need hub centric rings on a Lincoln MKS?
Hub centric rings only when the aftermarket wheel has a centerbore larger than 63.4mm. If your fitment needs rings, they'll be included with the order.
Does the EcoBoost AWD MKS need different wheels than the base MKS?
No. The EcoBoost AWD MKS and the base MKS share the same 5x114.3 bolt pattern, 63.4mm hub bore, and offset window. The EcoBoost trim has a larger front brake setup, but the brake hardware fits within our measured aftermarket window for the platform. Cross-shop between EcoBoost and base MKS wheels within the same year range with confidence.
How do I find the right wheels for my specific Lincoln MKS build?
Three steps. Confirm your year (2009-2012 launch or 2013-2016 facelift) and trim (base or EcoBoost AWD). Use our Year/Make/Model search to see wheels that fit your specific MKS (each listing shows its own offset) and browse the wheel gallery for real-life builds. If you are pushing toward the 22 inch top of our window, contact our team for a free fitment consultation before ordering. Every wheel we recommend is backed by the Fitment Guarantee.
