Lotus Emira Aftermarket Wheel Fitment

The Lotus Emira (2023 and up) is the final internal combustion sports car from Lotus before the brand goes fully electric. Built on a bonded-aluminum chassis at Hethel and offered with the supercharged 3.5L Toyota V6 and the AMG-sourced 2.0L turbo four, the Emira is a true mid-engine sports car with a real focus on driver feel. The Emira we have measured uses 5x114.3 (also called 5x4.5) with a 69.1mm hub bore. The factory wheel hardware is M12x1.5 lug bolts, which is a smaller thread pitch than the M14x1.5 you'll find on most Italian cars. Every Emira we sell wheels for is a must-be-staggered fitment with a meaningfully wider rear, and the front brake package is larger than the rear, which is normal on a focused mid-engine sports car. Pick your fitment specs below.

Find Your Lotus Emira

The Emira is a single-generation platform so far. Bolt pattern (5x114.3) and centerbore (69.1mm) hold across all trims. The V6 and i4 engine variants run the same fitment window. Diameter, width, and the must-be-staggered constraint are constant.

The Lotus Emira Bolt Pattern

Every Lotus Emira we have measured uses 5x114.3 (also called 5x4.5, because 114.3mm equals 4.5 inches). That covers both the supercharged V6 and the AMG-sourced i4 engine variants from 2023 forward. Hub bore is 69.1mm, which is slightly larger than the 67.1mm centerbore on most Italian platforms (Quattroporte, Ghibli, GranTurismo, Levante). The 5x114.3 pattern is shared with a wide range of other sports cars (Ford Mustang, Acura, the modern Chrysler 300 LX cars, many Honda and Toyota models), but the Emira hub bore (69.1mm), the offset window, and the brake clearance behind the wheel face are Lotus-specific. A wheel that fit on another 5x114.3 car will not automatically work on an Emira because the centerbore is different and the offset window is different.

Important spec callout: 5x114.3 is NOT the same as 5x115. The two patterns look close on paper (a 0.7mm difference in bolt circle) but they do not interchange. A 5x115 wheel will not safely fit on a 5x114.3 hub even though the math is close. Confirm the wheel you are looking at is specifically rated for 5x114.3 before ordering. The factory hardware on the Emira is M12x1.5 lug bolts that thread directly into the hub. That M12 thread pitch is smaller than the M14x1.5 you'll find on most Italian and German cars, so the bolts are not interchangeable across platforms.

Why the Emira is Must-Staggered and How the Brakes Affect Fitment

Every Emira we sell wheels for is a must-be-staggered fitment. That is a catalog-level constraint (FT=2), not a stylistic choice. The Emira is mid-engine with a meaningfully wider rear track than front, the rear wheel must be wider than the front to fill the fender correctly, and a square fitment will tuck noticeably at the rear and look wrong on the car. Plan on staggered. Our measured rear width range is 10.5 to 11 inch paired with an 8.5 to 9 inch front. Diameter window is 20 to 21 inch.

The front brake package on the Emira is larger than the rear, which is normal on a focused mid-engine sports car of this caliber. The front axle does the majority of the braking work and Lotus scales the front rotor and caliper accordingly. The front wheel needs more inner-barrel clearance for the larger front caliper, which is a real fitment consideration on aftermarket wheels with a deeper front face or a tighter spoke pattern. We measure this directly. The supercharged V6 (Toyota-sourced 3.5L) and the AMG-sourced i4 (2.0L turbo) variants run the same wheel fitment window, so the brake-clearance rules apply to both.

Element Wheels Measured Aftermarket Fitment, Lotus Emira

Publishable factory and wheel specs across the Emira lineup:

  • Emira V6 / i4 (2023 and up): 5x114.3 bolt pattern, 69.1mm hub bore. Element aftermarket diameter: 20-21 inch. Aftermarket width: 8.5-9 inch front, 10.5-11 inch rear. Must-staggered. Front brake larger than rear. Factory hardware: M12x1.5 lug bolts.

For your exact aftermarket offset, three options:

  • 1. Use our Year/Make/Model search to see wheels that fit your specific Emira (each listing shows its own offset).
  • 2. Browse the Emira wheel gallery for real-life builds with size, offset, and tire spec captions.
  • 3. Call or chat with our team for a free fitment consultation. The Emira is a focused sports car and we recommend a consultation on this platform.

Every wheel we recommend is backed by our Fitment Guarantee. If a wheel does not fit, we pick up the wheels and refund 100 percent. No risk to you.

How We Confirm Fitment on Lotus Emira Wheels

Element Wheels measures fitment on the Emira directly. For the Emira that means clearance from the wheel to the fender on both axles (with the wider rear track and the lower body taken into account), gap between the back of the wheel and the suspension, brake caliper height (front package larger than rear), hub bore confirmation to the 69.1mm Lotus hub, lug bolt seat depth on the M12 thread, and turning clearance with the wheel and tire installed at full lock. At our fitment facility in Chandler, Arizona, the Element Wheels team measures directly on the physical platforms we support. We don't pull specs from manufacturer sheets the way most retailers do. The Emira carries lug bolts rather than lug nuts on studs, and the M12x1.5 thread pitch is smaller than the M14x1.5 used on most Italian and German cars; bolt selection has to match the Lotus thread specifically.

Lotus Emira Wheels and Rims FAQ

What is the bolt pattern on a Lotus Emira?

Every Lotus Emira we have measured uses 5x114.3 (also called 5x4.5) with a 69.1mm hub bore. That covers both the supercharged V6 and the AMG-sourced i4 engine variants from 2023 forward. 5x114.3 is NOT the same as 5x115. A 5x115 wheel will not safely fit on a 5x114.3 hub, so confirm the wheel is specifically rated for 5x114.3 before ordering.

Are Lotus Emira wheels staggered?

Yes. Every Emira we sell wheels for is a must-be-staggered fitment. That is a catalog-level constraint, not a stylistic choice. The Emira is mid-engine with a meaningfully wider rear track than front, the rear wheel needs to be wider than the front, and a square fitment will tuck noticeably at the rear and look wrong on the car. Plan a staggered build. Our measured window is 8.5-9 inch front and 10.5-11 inch rear.

Front brake larger than rear: does that affect the wheel I can buy?

Yes. The front brake package on the Emira is larger than the rear. This is normal on a focused mid-engine sports car. The front axle does most of the braking work and Lotus sizes the front caliper accordingly. The front wheel needs more inner-barrel clearance for the larger caliper. Some aftermarket wheels with a deeper front face or a tight spoke pattern will not clear. We measure both axles.

Lug bolts or lug nuts on the Emira?

Lug bolts. The factory hardware on the Emira is M12x1.5 lug bolts that thread directly into the hub rather than nuts on permanent studs. Note that M12x1.5 is a smaller thread pitch than the M14x1.5 you'll find on most Italian and German cars, so Lotus bolts are not interchangeable with bolts from other platforms. Bolt seat depth and thread length need to be confirmed for each aftermarket wheel because the bolt has to clear the seat depth on the wheel and reach the correct thread engagement in the hub. We measure this on every wheel we recommend for the Emira.

Does the V6 vs i4 engine affect wheel fitment?

No. Bolt pattern, centerbore, brake clearance, and fitment window are the same across both engine variants of the Emira. The supercharged 3.5L V6 and the AMG-sourced 2.0L i4 share the same chassis, suspension geometry, and brake package on the fitment side. Pick the engine you want for performance and sound. The wheel fitment specs follow the chassis, not the powertrain.

What is the largest wheel I can fit on a Lotus Emira?

Our measured Element aftermarket window tops at 21 inch diameter on the Emira. 20 inch is the more common aftermarket choice on this platform because it preserves sidewall for ride and steering feel. 21 inch fits with the right offset and tire size. The rear width tops at 11 inch in our measured window.

Do I need hub centric rings on a Lotus Emira?

Hub centric rings only when the aftermarket wheel has a centerbore larger than 69.1mm. If your fitment needs rings, they'll be included with the order.

How do I find wheels for my specific Lotus Emira?

Use our Year/Make/Model search to see wheels that fit your specific Emira (each listing shows its own offset) and browse the wheel gallery for real-life builds with size and offset captions. The Emira is a focused sports car and we recommend a free fitment consultation on this platform before ordering. Call our team and we will confirm the wheel clears the front brake package, sits inside the fender, and matches the M12x1.5 thread spec before you commit. Every wheel we recommend is backed by the Fitment Guarantee.
