Maserati GranTurismo Aftermarket Wheel Fitment

The Maserati GranTurismo is Maserati's two-door grand tourer and one of the more distinctive Italian fitment platforms in our catalog. The first-generation GranTurismo (M145, 2008-2021) ran the Ferrari and Maserati F136 V8 architecture and stayed in production for more than a decade. After a two-year hiatus, the second-generation GranTurismo (M183, 2023 and up) launched on an all-new Maserati platform with both V6 Nettuno and full-electric Folgore variants. Across both generations, our catalog shows the same bolt pattern (5x114.3, also called 5x4.5) with a 67.1mm hub bore. The factory wheel hardware on the GranTurismo is lug bolts, not lug nuts on studs, which is the Italian and European convention on this platform. Every GranTurismo we measure is also a must-be-staggered fitment with a meaningfully wider rear wheel than front (catalog FT=2), and the front brake package is larger than the rear, which is normal on a performance grand tourer of this class. The Maserati GranTurismo Bolt Pattern

Every Maserati GranTurismo we have measured uses 5x114.3 (also called 5x4.5, because 114.3mm equals 4.5 inches). That covers both the M145 first generation (2008-2021) and the M183 second generation (2023 and up). Hub bore is 67.1mm across both generations. The 5x114.3 pattern is shared with a wide range of other platforms (Ford Mustang, Acura, the modern Chrysler 300 LX cars including the Maserati Quattroporte M156, and many Honda and Toyota models), but the GranTurismo hub bore (67.1mm), the offset window, and the brake clearance behind the wheel face are Maserati-specific. A wheel that fit cleanly on a Mustang at 5x114.3 will not automatically work on a GranTurismo because the hub bore is different and the offset windows are different.

Important spec callout: 5x114.3 is NOT the same as 5x115. The two patterns look close on paper (a 0.7mm difference in bolt circle) but they do not interchange. A 5x115 wheel will not safely fit on a 5x114.3 hub even though the math is close. Confirm the wheel you are looking at is specifically rated for 5x114.3 before ordering. The factory wheel hardware on the GranTurismo is lug bolts on the M145 first generation and the second-generation M183 follows the same Maserati convention. The thread pitch on the M145 is M14x1.5. Why the GranTurismo is Must-Staggered and How the Brakes Affect Fitment

Every GranTurismo we sell wheels for is a must-be-staggered fitment. That is a catalog-level constraint (FT=2). The factory rear track is wider than the front, the rear wheel must be wider than the front to fill the fender correctly, and a square fitment on this car will either poke at the rear or tuck at the front. Plan on staggered. On the M145 first generation, our measured rear width range is 10.5 to 11 inch paired with an 8.5 to 9 inch front. On the M183 second generation the rears go a half inch wider, with our range at 10.5 to 11.5 inch paired with a 9.5 inch front. Both generations carry a 20 inch diameter as the baseline, with the M183 also accepting 21 inch in our window.

The front brake package on the GranTurismo is larger than the rear on both generations. That is normal on a performance grand tourer of this caliber. The front axle does the majority of the braking work and Maserati scales the front rotor and caliper accordingly. The front wheel needs more inner-barrel clearance for the larger front caliper, which is a real fitment consideration on aftermarket wheels with a deeper front face or a tighter spoke pattern. We measure this directly. The M183 second generation Folgore is the all-electric variant, with the battery and electric motor package adding additional clearance considerations behind the wheel. Folgore fitment specifically benefits from a fitment consultation before ordering.

How We Confirm Fitment on Maserati GranTurismo Wheels

Element Wheels measures fitment on the GranTurismo directly, across both the M145 first generation and the M183 second generation. For the GranTurismo that means clearance from the wheel to the fender on both axles, gap between the back of the wheel and the suspension, brake caliper height (front and rear, with the front package larger than the rear on both generations), hub bore confirmation to the 67.1mm Maserati hub, lug bolt seat depth, and turning clearance with the wheel and tire installed. The GranTurismo carries lug bolts rather than lug nuts on studs, which is a real fitment-side consideration: bolt seat depth and bolt thread length need to be confirmed for each aftermarket wheel.
