Mercedes-Benz GLB-Class Aftermarket Wheel Fitment

The Mercedes-Benz GLB-Class is the compact, three-row luxury SUV that slots between the GLA subcompact and the GLC compact in the Mercedes SUV lineup. It rides on the Mercedes MFA2 front wheel drive platform shared with the A-Class, CLA, and GLA, but in a taller, boxier body that fits an optional third-row seat (which the GLA cannot). Element Wheels measures the GLB across one current generation: the X247 (2020 and up), including the GLB 250 base and the AMG GLB 35 (added for the 2025 model year). Bolt pattern is 5x112 with a 66.56mm hub bore on every GLB variant, M14x1.5 lug stud, and a square fitment across the board. Same wheel and tire size front and rear, no factory stagger. What changes inside the family is the brake package on the AMG GLB 35 and the minimum aftermarket diameter at the AMG trim. Pick your trim below for the fitment specs.

Find Your Mercedes-Benz GLB-Class Trim

Pick your trim to see wheels and rims that fit your specific GLB. Bolt pattern is 5x112 / 66.56mm CB on every variant. What changes is the brake package on the AMG GLB 35 (larger than the base GLB 250) and the minimum diameter at the AMG trim.

The Mercedes-Benz GLB-Class Bolt Pattern

Every Mercedes-Benz GLB in our catalog uses 5x112 with a 66.56mm hub bore and an M14x1.5 lug bolt. That covers the X247 GLB 250 (2020 and up) and the AMG GLB 35 (2025 and up). The GLB launched as the X247 chassis and Mercedes has not changed the bolt math since. The GLB rides on the Mercedes MFA2 front wheel drive platform, shared with the A-Class, CLA, and GLA. All four MFA2 nameplates use 5x112 / 66.56mm with M14x1.5 lugs, so the bolt pattern crosses inside the MFA2 family.

The 5x112 / 66.56mm pattern is also the universal modern Mercedes-Benz spec, shared with the C-Class, E-Class, S-Class, GLC, GLE, and GLS. A wheel built for one of these will bolt onto a GLB hub in stud pattern and centering, but the body geometry differs significantly. The GLB is taller and boxier than the GLA, but smaller than the GLC. Wheel arch height, fender clearance, and the third-row seat package change how a wheel sits compared with the other Mercedes SUVs. We track the GLB as its own platform.

5x112 is NOT the same as 5x114.3 used on most Japanese cars. The two patterns sit roughly 2mm apart and are not interchangeable. Compare across the rest of the Mercedes-Benz SUV lineup at our Mercedes-Benz wheels and rims hub, or check the sibling GLA fitments at /wheels/mercedes-benz/gla-class.

Why GLB Trim And Brake Package Determine Wheel Fit

The GLB ships in two tiers. The base GLB 250 runs the standard GLB brake package and accepts a wider aftermarket diameter window (down to 17 inch). The AMG GLB 35 (added for 2025) carries a larger AMG four-piston front caliper that raises the minimum aftermarket diameter to 19 inch. Anything below 19 inch on the GLB 35 risks hiding the brake, which is not a build we recommend. The GLB 35 also runs a slightly narrower aftermarket width window than the GLB 250, where the base GLB accepts wheels as narrow as 6.5 inch and the AMG GLB 35 starts at 8 inch. The GLB is square across both trims. Same wheel and tire size front and rear, no factory stagger. The AMG GLB 35 carries the front brake larger than the rear, which is standard for a high-output performance variant. The GLB 35 is NOT staggered from the factory because the front wheel drive MFA2 platform does not benefit from a wider rear setup.

Element Wheels Measured Aftermarket Fitment, Mercedes-Benz GLB-Class

Publishable factory and wheel specs across the GLB trims:

  • X247 GLB 250 (2020 and up): 5x112 bolt pattern, 66.56mm hub bore, M14x1.5 lug bolt. Element aftermarket diameter range: 17-22 inch. Aftermarket width range: 6.5-9 inch (square). Square fitment.
  • X247 GLB 35 AMG (2025 and up): 5x112, 66.56mm CB, M14x1.5. Aftermarket diameter range: 19-22 inch. Aftermarket width range: 8-9 inch (square). Larger AMG brake package, minimum 19 inch. Front brake larger than rear.

Offset windows are tightly controlled by the GLB AMG brake clearance and the front wheel drive geometry. For your exact aftermarket offset, three options:

  • 1. Use our Year/Make/Model search to see wheels that fit your specific GLB trim (each listing shows its own offset).
  • 2. Browse the GLB-Class wheel gallery for real-life builds with size, offset, and tire spec captions.
  • 3. Call or chat with our team for a free fitment consultation.

Every wheel we recommend is backed by our Fitment Guarantee. If a wheel does not fit, we pick up the wheels and refund 100 percent. No risk to you.

How We Confirm Fitment on Mercedes-Benz GLB-Class Wheels

Element Wheels measures fitment on the platforms we sell wheels for, including the GLB from its 2020 launch forward. For the GLB that means clearance from the wheel to the fender on a taller-than-GLA crossover body, gap between the back of the wheel and the front suspension on the MFA2 platform, brake caliper height across the base GLB 250 and the AMG GLB 35 packages, hub bore confirmation on the 66.56mm Mercedes hub, lug bolt seat depth for the M14x1.5 thread, and the front wheel drive turning geometry that constrains the steer angle clearance. At our fitment facility in Chandler, Arizona, the Element Wheels team measures directly on the physical platforms we support. We don't pull specs from manufacturer sheets the way most retailers do.

Mercedes-Benz GLB-Class Wheels and Rims FAQ

What is the bolt pattern on a Mercedes-Benz GLB?

Every Mercedes-Benz GLB uses 5x112 with a 66.56mm hub bore and an M14x1.5 lug bolt. That covers the X247 GLB 250 (2020 and up) and the AMG GLB 35 (2025 and up). 5x112 is the Mercedes-Benz family standard pattern. It is NOT the same as 5x114.3 used on most Japanese cars. The two patterns sit roughly 2mm apart and are not interchangeable.

Will A-Class, CLA, or GLA wheels fit my GLB?

The GLB, A-Class, CLA, and GLA all ride on the same Mercedes MFA2 front wheel drive platform and all use 5x112 / 66.56mm with M14x1.5 lugs. Wheels will bolt onto each hub in pattern and hub centering. But the four nameplates have different ride heights, fender geometries, and brake packages. The A-Class and CLA are lower and more aggressively-styled. The GLA is a shorter crossover. The GLB is the tallest of the four, with the optional third-row seat package. A wheel measured for a CLA 35 AMG will not automatically clear a GLB 35 AMG of the same year. We track each MFA2 nameplate as its own platform.

Is the GLB the same as the GLA?

Same MFA2 platform, same bolt pattern (5x112 / 66.56mm), but different bodies. The GLA is the shorter, lower subcompact crossover. The GLB is the taller, boxier compact crossover that fits an optional third-row seat. Wheels bolt onto either hub in stud pattern. But the body geometries differ enough that a wheel measured for a GLA will not always clear a GLB of the same year, even on the base trim. We track GLA and GLB as separate platforms.

Does the AMG GLB 35 need different wheels than the GLB 250?

Same bolt pattern (5x112 / 66.56mm), but the GLB 35 AMG ships with a larger front brake caliper than the base GLB 250 and needs a minimum 19 inch wheel to clear that caliper. The base GLB 250 accepts 17 inch and 18 inch wheels (down to as narrow as 6.5 inch wide). The GLB 35 AMG does not. The brake change is the primary fitment difference between trims. We track the AMG GLB 35 and the base GLB 250 on separate catalog rows.

Is the GLB a square or staggered fitment?

Square. Same wheel and tire size front and rear on both the base GLB 250 and the AMG GLB 35. The GLB rides on the Mercedes MFA2 front wheel drive platform with optional 4MATIC. Staggered fitment is not a setup Mercedes-AMG runs from the factory on this platform because the front wheel drive geometry does not benefit from a wider rear setup.

What is the largest wheel I can fit on a Mercedes-Benz GLB?

Our measured aftermarket window tops at 22 inch on both the GLB 250 and the AMG GLB 35. 20 and 21 inch are popular AMG choices for visual stance. 18 and 19 inch are popular on the GLB 250 for ride quality and tire selection. Below 19 inch on the AMG GLB 35 risks hiding the brake caliper. Above 22 inch typically requires fender clearance work and is not a build we measure for on a body this size.

Do I need hub centric rings on a Mercedes-Benz GLB?

Hub centric rings only when the aftermarket wheel has a centerbore larger than 66.56mm. If your fitment needs rings, they'll be included with the order.

How do I find the right wheels for my specific Mercedes-Benz GLB?

Confirm your trim (GLB 250 or AMG GLB 35). Bolt pattern is 5x112 / 66.56mm with M14x1.5 lugs on every variant. Use our Year/Make/Model search to see wheels that fit your specific GLB and browse the wheel gallery for real-life builds. If you have an AMG GLB 35, contact our team for a free fitment consultation before ordering since the AMG brake package raises the minimum diameter to 19 inch. Every wheel we recommend is backed by the Fitment Guarantee.
