Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class Aftermarket Wheel Fitment

The Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class is the compact luxury SUV that sits between the GLA and the GLE in the Mercedes lineup, sharing its chassis with the C-Class sedan. Element Wheels measures the GLC across two generations: the X253 (2016-2022 SUV, 2016-2023 Coupe) and the current X254 (2023 and up SUV, 2024 and up Coupe). Bolt pattern is steady at 5x112 with a 66.56mm hub bore on every GLC variant, in both SUV and Coupe bodies, across base and AMG trims. Where fitment changes is at the trim level. The GLC 300 and the GLC 350e plug-in hybrid carry the base brake package. The GLC 43 AMG carries a larger Mercedes-AMG brake. The GLC 63 AMG carries the biggest brake on the platform. Each AMG trim also runs different stagger windows than the base GLC 300. Pick your generation and trim below for the fitment specs.

Find Your Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class Generation

Pick your chassis to see wheels and rims that fit your specific GLC. Bolt pattern is 5x112 / 66.56mm CB on every GLC variant. What changes is the brake package, the AMG trim, and the body style. The GLC Coupe runs a one-year lag behind the SUV on generation boundaries: the X253 Coupe extends through 2023 while the X253 SUV ended in 2022.

The Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class Bolt Pattern

Every GLC-Class in our catalog uses 5x112 with a 66.56mm hub bore. That covers the X253 (2016-2022 SUV, 2016-2023 Coupe) and the X254 (2023 and up SUV, 2024 and up Coupe), in both body styles, and across every trim from the GLC 300 base through the GLC 43 AMG and the GLC 63 AMG. The pattern has held steady since the GLC replaced the GLK for the 2016 model year. A wheel built for one GLC variant will bolt onto another GLC hub in terms of stud pattern, but the offset window and brake clearance shift between the standard 300 and the AMG trims, so we measure each combination separately.

5x112 is the Mercedes-Benz family standard pattern, also used across the C-Class, E-Class, S-Class, GLA, GLB, GLE, and most of the modern AMG lineup. The GLC sits on the same chassis as the C-Class sedan, so the C-Class fitment library and the GLC fitment library share the same hub spec but live on different vehicles. Wheels that have been measured against a C-Class do not automatically clear a GLC because the SUV body has different fender geometry, wheel arch height, and brake-package distribution. We track them as separate platforms.

5x112 is NOT the same as 5x114.3 used on most Japanese cars. The two patterns sit roughly 2mm apart and are not interchangeable. Compare across the rest of the Mercedes-Benz lineup at our Mercedes-Benz wheels and rims hub, or look at the sibling C-Class fitments at /wheels/mercedes-benz/c-class.

Why GLC Trim and Body Style Determine Wheel Fit

The GLC is sold across a wide spread of brake packages and body styles. The GLC 300 and the GLC 350e plug-in hybrid run the base GLC brake package; we group these as the standard GLC SUV row in our catalog. The GLC 43 AMG carries a larger Mercedes-AMG four-piston front caliper and runs a wider rear wheel and tire as a must-staggered fitment. The GLC 63 AMG (and GLC 63 S) carries the largest brake on the platform and a wider stagger again. The Coupe body runs a tighter rear arch than the SUV and accepts a wider rear wheel on the AMG trims while sitting in a slightly different offset window than the SUV of the same trim and year. Each combination of generation, trim, and body style gets its own catalog row.

  • 1. Use our Year/Make/Model search to see wheels that fit your specific GLC generation, trim, and body style (each listing shows its own offset).
  • 2. Browse the GLC-Class wheel gallery for real-life builds with size, offset, and tire spec captions.

How We Confirm Fitment on Mercedes-Benz GLC Wheels

Element Wheels measures fitment on the platforms we sell wheels for, including every GLC generation from the 2016 X253 forward. For the GLC that means clearance from the wheel to the fender, gap between the back of the wheel and the front suspension, caliper height for the base GLC 300, the GLC 43 AMG, and the GLC 63 AMG packages, hub bore confirmation on the 66.56mm Mercedes hub, lug bolt seat depth, the staggered front-to-rear measurement on AMG trims, and the Coupe rear arch clearance that runs tighter than the SUV. At our fitment facility in Chandler, Arizona, the Element Wheels team measures directly on the physical platforms we support. We don't pull specs from manufacturer sheets the way most retailers do.

Every wheel we recommend is backed by our Fitment Guarantee. If a wheel does not fit, we pick up the wheels and refund 100 percent. No risk to you.

Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class Wheels and Rims FAQ

What is the bolt pattern on a Mercedes-Benz GLC?

Every Mercedes-Benz GLC uses 5x112 with a 66.56mm hub bore. That covers both generations (X253 from 2016 and X254 from 2023), both body styles (SUV and Coupe), and every trim including GLC 300, GLC 350e, GLC 43 AMG, and GLC 63 AMG. 5x112 is the Mercedes-Benz family standard pattern; it is NOT the same as 5x114.3 used on most Japanese cars. The two patterns sit roughly 2mm apart and are not interchangeable.

X253 vs X254: what changes for wheels?

Bolt pattern and hub bore stay the same (5x112 / 66.56mm) across both generations. The X253 (2016-2022 SUV, 2016-2023 Coupe) and the X254 (2023 and up SUV, 2024 and up Coupe) carry different fender wells, suspension geometry, and brake hardware. The X254 GLC 300 accepts slightly smaller minimum diameters than the X253 (18 inch vs 19 inch), and the X254 AMG variants run their own offset window. Wheels bolt across in terms of stud pattern but the measured fitment differs by generation, so we recommend matching the wheel listing to your year.

Are GLC and C-Class wheels interchangeable?

The bolt pattern crosses, the fitment does not always cross. The GLC is the SUV variant of the C-Class chassis, so both vehicles use 5x112 / 66.56mm. Wheels will bolt onto either hub in terms of stud pattern. But the SUV body has different fender geometry, wheel arch height, and brake-package distribution than the C-Class sedan, so a wheel measured for a C 300 will not automatically clear a GLC 300 of the same year. We track the GLC and the C-Class as separate platforms with their own measured fitment libraries. View C-Class fitment at /wheels/mercedes-benz/c-class.

What brake variants does the GLC have, and why does it matter?

The GLC carries the base brake package on the GLC 300 and GLC 350e, a larger AMG four-piston front caliper on the GLC 43, and the largest brake on the platform on the GLC 63 / GLC 63 S. Each brake size changes the clearance behind the wheel face and the inner-barrel margin available to the spoke design. The GLC 63 wheels need more inner clearance than the GLC 300 wheels of the same size. We measure each AMG trim as its own catalog row so the offset and width we recommend clears the caliper on your specific car. Confirm which AMG trim (43 vs 63) and body (SUV vs Coupe) your GLC is before ordering.

Are GLC 43 and GLC 63 AMG wheels staggered?

Most AMG GLC trims are must-staggered. The GLC 43 Coupe, GLC 63 SUV, and GLC 63 Coupe ship with wider rear wheels than front from the factory and we keep that stagger in the aftermarket window. The GLC 43 SUV accepts mild staggered as an option but is typically square in our catalog. The base GLC 300 SUV is a square fitment; the GLC 300 Coupe accepts mild stagger as an option because the Coupe runs a slightly wider rear arch. We tag each combination so the wheels we recommend match the stagger constraint for your specific trim and body.

What is the largest wheel I can fit on a Mercedes-Benz GLC?

Our measured aftermarket window tops at 22 inch on every GLC variant, including the GLC 300 SUV, the GLC 43 AMG, and the GLC 63 AMG, in both body styles. 21 and 22 inch are popular AMG choices for visual fill. 19 and 20 inch are popular on the GLC 300 for ride quality. Below 18 inch the wheel risks hiding the brake calipers on the AMG trims; below 19 inch is not measured on the X253 SUV in our catalog. Above 22 inch typically requires fender work and is not a build we measure for.

Do I need hub centric rings on a Mercedes-Benz GLC?

Hub centric rings only when the aftermarket wheel has a centerbore larger than 66.56mm. If your fitment needs rings, they'll be included with the order.

How do I find the right wheels for my specific Mercedes-Benz GLC?

Confirm your generation (X253 or X254), body style (SUV or Coupe), and trim (GLC 300, GLC 350e, GLC 43 AMG, GLC 63 AMG). Bolt pattern is 5x112 / 66.56mm on every variant. Use our Year/Make/Model search to see wheels that fit your specific GLC and browse the wheel gallery for real-life builds. If you have an AMG trim (43 or 63), contact our team for a free fitment consultation before ordering; the AMG brake clearance and must-staggered window are tighter than the base GLC 300. Every wheel we recommend is backed by the Fitment Guarantee.
