The 240SX is the rare aftermarket platform where the bolt pattern depends on year, trim, and whether a conversion has been done. The S13 (1989-1993) ran 4x114.3 (4-lug) from the factory. The S14 (1995-1998) launched with the same 4-lug 4x114.3 pattern on the base car, then added the 5-lug 5x114.3 pattern on the SE and the late S14 cars. Both bolt patterns share the 66.1mm hub bore and the M12x1.25 Japanese fine pitch lug thread. A 4-lug wheel and a 5-lug wheel will NOT bolt to each other's hubs even though the bolt circle diameter happens to share the same nominal 114.3mm number. Count the lugs on your hub before ordering.

The 4x114.3 imperial nickname is 4x4.5 and the 5x114.3 imperial nickname is 5x4.5 (114.3mm = 4.5 inches). The two notations on each side are identical. Important: 5x114.3 is NOT the same as 5x115. The two patterns sit only 0.7mm apart and do not bolt across. The 5x4.5 imperial nickname refers specifically to 5x114.3. 5x115 lives on cars like the Chrysler 300 and the Dodge Charger LX. Confirm 5x114.3 when ordering for a 5-lug 240SX.

The S13 5-lug conversion is a measured aftermarket option where owners swap the S13 hubs and rotors for the S14 5-lug hardware, which gives the S13 access to the much larger 5x114.3 wheel selection (including most 5-lug Japanese performance wheels). The 240SX is a rear wheel drive S-chassis sports car that came in two distinct generations in the US. The S13 (1989-1993) is the lighter, smaller car with the pop-up headlights on the coupe and the fixed headlights on the fastback hatch. The S14 (1995-1998) is the larger, heavier car with fixed headlights across both body styles. The S13 ran on factory 4-lug 4x114.3 hubs. The S14 launched in 1995 with the same 4-lug 4x114.3 pattern on the base car, then added 5-lug 5x114.3 on the SE and the late-production S14 cars. Both generations are square at the factory, but staggered fitment is a measured option on the aftermarket because the rear width window opens wider than the front on both the S13 and S14.

There was no US 240SX for the 1994 model year. The S13 ended after 1993 and the S14 launched as a 1995 model. If your car is a 1994, it is not a US 240SX. The JDM twins of the 240SX, the Nissan Silvia (S13, S14) and the 180SX (S13 with fixed pop-up headlights and the hatch body), share the same chassis and the same lug patterns and fitment box as the US 240SX. Wheels that fit a 4-lug S13 240SX also fit a 4-lug S13 Silvia or 180SX in JDM form because they ARE the same chassis.
