The Nissan Versa Bolt Pattern

The Versa has two bolt patterns across its production run. The first generation Versa (2007-2013) uses 4x114.3 with a 66.1mm hub bore and M12x1.25 lug thread. Four lugs. The second generation (2014-2019) and third generation (2020 and up) both use 4x100 with the same 66.1mm hub bore and M12x1.25 thread. Four lugs across every generation. Hub bore and lug thread stay constant. Only the bolt pattern moved.

4x114.3 has the imperial nickname 4x4.5 (114.3mm = 4.5 inches) and the two notations are identical. 4x100 has no common imperial nickname and is universally written 4x100. M12x1.25 is the Japanese fine pitch standard, different from the M12x1.5 found on most American and European cars. Confirm M12x1.25 if you are buying lug nuts separately from the wheels.

Important: 4x114.3 and 4x100 do not bolt across. Confirm 4x114.3 for a first generation Versa (2007-2013) or 4x100 for a second or third generation Versa (2014 and up) before ordering.

Why the Versa Generation Determines Wheel Fit

The Versa is a front wheel drive unibody subcompact across every generation, sold as a sedan and (on the first and second generations) as a hatchback. The first generation Versa (2007-2013) was built on Nissan's Tiida-based C platform and runs 4x114.3 with a 66.1mm hub bore. The second generation (2014-2019) moved to Nissan's global V platform shared with the Versa Note hatchback and the Sunny in other markets, bringing the bolt pattern down to 4x100. The third generation Versa (2020 and up) carried the 4x100 / 66.1mm hub spec forward on the redesigned subcompact sedan body. Lug thread stays M12x1.25 across every generation. What changes between the first and second generation is the bolt pattern. What changes between the second and third generation is the suspension geometry and the brake hardware, with the bolt pattern, hub bore, and lug thread staying identical.

The Versa is square front and rear across every generation. There is no staggered fitment in the factory or aftermarket on this car. The aftermarket diameter window opens at 15 inch and runs to 19 inch across all three generations. 16 inch and 17 inch are the most common upgrade choices. The Versa is a low-cost subcompact and the factory wheel is small (typically 15 inch steel or 16 inch alloy on most trims), so 17 inch is the standard one-step visual upgrade. Larger sizes fit but the ride quality drops faster on a short wheelbase subcompact than on a midsize car.
