Nissan Versa Aftermarket Wheel Fitment

The Nissan Versa is Nissan's subcompact sedan and hatchback, sold in the US since 2007 across three generations. Element Wheels measures the Versa across every generation Nissan has sold: the first generation (2007-2013), the second generation (2014-2019), and the current third generation (2020 and up). The bolt pattern changed between the first and second generation. The first generation Versa runs 4x114.3. The second and third generations both run 4x100. The hub bore stays at 66.1mm across every generation, and the lug thread stays Japanese M12x1.25 fine pitch across the lineup. The aftermarket diameter window runs from 15 inch up to 19 inch.

Find Your Nissan Versa Generation

Pick your year range to see wheels and rims that fit your specific Versa. The bolt pattern changed at the 2014 model year. First gen Versa is 4x114.3. Second and third gen Versa is 4x100. The two patterns are not interchangeable.

The Nissan Versa Bolt Pattern

The Versa has two bolt patterns across its production run. The first generation Versa (2007-2013) uses 4x114.3 with a 66.1mm hub bore and M12x1.25 lug thread. Four lugs. The second generation (2014-2019) and third generation (2020 and up) both use 4x100 with the same 66.1mm hub bore and M12x1.25 thread. Four lugs across every generation. Hub bore and lug thread stay constant. Only the bolt pattern moved.

4x114.3 has the imperial nickname 4x4.5 (114.3mm = 4.5 inches) and the two notations are identical. 4x100 has no common imperial nickname and is universally written 4x100. M12x1.25 is the Japanese fine pitch standard, different from the M12x1.5 found on most American and European cars. Confirm M12x1.25 if you are buying lug nuts separately from the wheels.

Important: 4x114.3 and 4x100 do not bolt across. Confirm 4x114.3 for a first generation Versa (2007-2013) or 4x100 for a second or third generation Versa (2014 and up) before ordering.

Why the Versa Generation Determines Wheel Fit

The Versa is a front wheel drive unibody subcompact across every generation, sold as a sedan and (on the first and second generations) as a hatchback. The first generation Versa (2007-2013) was built on Nissan's Tiida-based C platform and runs 4x114.3 with a 66.1mm hub bore. The second generation (2014-2019) moved to Nissan's global V platform shared with the Versa Note hatchback and the Sunny in other markets, bringing the bolt pattern down to 4x100. The third generation Versa (2020 and up) carried the 4x100 / 66.1mm hub spec forward on the redesigned subcompact sedan body. Lug thread stays M12x1.25 across every generation. What changes between the first and second generation is the bolt pattern. What changes between the second and third generation is the suspension geometry and the brake hardware, with the bolt pattern, hub bore, and lug thread staying identical.

The Versa is square front and rear across every generation. There is no staggered fitment in the factory or aftermarket on this car. The aftermarket diameter window opens at 15 inch and runs to 19 inch across all three generations. 16 inch and 17 inch are the most common upgrade choices. The Versa is a low-cost subcompact and the factory wheel is small (typically 15 inch steel or 16 inch alloy on most trims), so 17 inch is the standard one-step visual upgrade. Larger sizes fit but the ride quality drops faster on a short wheelbase subcompact than on a midsize car.

Element Wheels Measured Aftermarket Fitment, Nissan Versa

Publishable factory and wheel specs across the Versa generations:

  • First Gen Versa (2007-2013): 4x114.3, 66.1mm CB, 4 lug, M12x1.25 Japanese fine pitch thread. Element aftermarket diameter range: 15-19 inch. Aftermarket width range: 4.5-7.5 inch square.
  • Second Gen Versa (2014-2019): 4x100, 66.1mm CB, 4 lug, M12x1.25. Element aftermarket diameter range: 15-19 inch. Aftermarket width range: 6.5-7.5 inch square. Includes the Versa Note hatchback on the same hub spec.
  • Third Gen Versa (2020 and up): 4x100, 66.1mm CB, 4 lug, M12x1.25. Element aftermarket diameter range: 15-19 inch. Aftermarket width range: 6.5-7.5 inch square.

Offset windows differ between generations because the bolt-pattern change at 2014 also moved the suspension geometry and brake hardware. For your exact aftermarket offset, three options:

  • 1. Use our Year/Make/Model search to see wheels that fit your specific Versa (each listing shows its own offset).
  • 2. Browse the Nissan Versa wheel gallery for real-life builds with size, offset, and tire spec captions.
  • 3. Call or chat with our team for a free fitment consultation.

Every wheel we recommend is backed by our Fitment Guarantee. If a wheel does not fit, we pick up the wheels and refund 100 percent. No risk to you.

How We Confirm Fitment on Nissan Versa Wheels

Element Wheels measures fitment on the platforms we sell wheels for, including every Versa generation from the 2007 first generation through the current third generation. For the Versa that means clearance from the wheel to the fender, gap between the back of the wheel and the suspension on the front wheel drive layout, brake caliper height, hub bore confirmation on the 66.1mm hub, lug seat depth on the M12x1.25 thread, and turning clearance at full lock. At our fitment facility in Chandler, Arizona, the Element Wheels team measures directly on the physical platforms we support. We don't pull specs from manufacturer sheets the way most retailers do.

The Versa is a subcompact unibody with a small factory wheel. The mistakes we see on this car are usually customers ordering a 4x114.3 wheel for a 2014 or newer Versa (the second and third generations are 4x100, not 4x114.3) or ordering a 4x100 wheel for a 2007-2013 Versa (the first generation is 4x114.3). The bolt-pattern change in 2014 is the key fitment trap. We confirm the year, the bolt pattern, the hub bore, and the brake clearance before any wheel ships.

Nissan Versa Wheels and Rims FAQ

What is the bolt pattern on a Nissan Versa?

The bolt pattern depends on the generation. The first generation Versa (2007-2013) uses 4x114.3 with a 66.1mm hub bore and M12x1.25 lug thread (Japanese fine pitch). Four lugs. The second generation (2014-2019) and third generation (2020 and up) both use 4x100 with the same 66.1mm hub bore and M12x1.25 thread. Four lugs across every generation. The bolt pattern changed at the 2014 model year.

First Gen vs Second Gen Versa: what changes for wheels?

The bolt pattern changed. The first generation Versa (2007-2013) is 4x114.3. The second generation (2014-2019) is 4x100. The hub bore stays at 66.1mm and the lug thread stays M12x1.25 across both. The 4x114.3 and 4x100 patterns are not interchangeable. Wheels do not bolt across from a first generation Versa to a second generation Versa.

Are 4x114.3 and 4x100 the same on a Versa?

No. 4x114.3 and 4x100 are different bolt patterns. They do not bolt across. The first generation Versa (2007-2013) is 4x114.3. The second and third generation Versa (2014 and up) is 4x100. Confirm the year of your Versa before ordering wheels.

Will Versa Note wheels fit a Versa sedan?

Yes, within the same generation. The second generation Versa Note hatchback (2014-2019) shares the 4x100 / 66.1mm CB / M12x1.25 hub spec with the second generation Versa sedan. Wheels bolt across between the Note and the sedan on that generation. The first generation Versa hatchback (2007-2012) shares the 4x114.3 hub spec with the first generation Versa sedan and bolt across within that generation.

What is the largest wheel I can fit on a Nissan Versa?

Our measured aftermarket window tops at 19 inch diameter across every Versa generation. 16 inch and 17 inch are the most common choices and balance visual upgrade with ride quality. 18 inch fits with the right offset and a low-profile tire. The Versa is a short wheelbase subcompact and ride quality drops faster than on a midsize car as wheel size goes up.

What is the smallest wheel I can fit on a Nissan Versa?

15 inch is the smallest wheel that clears the brake hardware across every Versa generation. The factory base wheel on most trims is 15 inch steel, so the 15 inch aftermarket window is the direct factory replacement size with a styled alloy.

What lug nut do I need for a Nissan Versa?

The Versa uses the M12x1.25 lug thread, the Japanese fine pitch standard, across every generation. This is different from the M12x1.5 found on most American and European cars. If you are buying lug nuts separately from the wheels, confirm M12x1.25. The two thread pitches are not interchangeable and a 1.5 nut on a 1.25 stud will cross-thread and damage the stud.

Do I need hub centric rings on a Nissan Versa?

Hub centric rings only when the aftermarket wheel has a centerbore larger than the Versa's 66.1mm factory hub bore. If your fitment needs rings, they'll be included with the order.
