The 2009-2010 G3 is the only generation Pontiac sold under the G3 name in the United States. Canada had the same car earlier as the Pontiac Wave (2004-2008) and as the Pontiac G3 Wave for 2009-2010. The US-market G3 carried the second gen Aveo body on GM's T250 platform for just two model years before Pontiac was wound down with the GM restructuring. All US G3s share the same 4x100 / 56.6mm hub.

The Pontiac G3 Bolt Pattern

The 2009-2010 G3 uses a 4x100 bolt pattern with a 56.6mm hub bore and an M12x1.5 lug thread. 4x100 is the small-car standard across decades of Asian and European subcompacts, and the G3 inherits it from the Chevrolet Aveo (T250) it is a rebadge of. The same 4x100 / 56.6mm hub appears on the 2007-2011 Chevrolet Aveo sedan and hatchback (T250) it shares a body with. Most GM compacts of that era moved to 5-lug hubs, so the G3 stands out as one of the last 4-lug GM cars sold in North America.

Important distinction: 4x100 is the most common small-car 4-lug bolt pattern, but it is not the only one. The Pontiac G5 sedan and coupe sold during overlapping years used a different hub (4x100 with a 57.1mm bore on the 4-lug version, and 5x110 on the 5-lug version) and the older Pontiac Sunfire used yet another (5x100). A wheel labeled "4-lug" without a confirmed pattern can mean any of 4x98, 4x100, 4x108, or 4x114.3. Confirm the wheel listing says 4x100 before ordering, and confirm the centerbore is at least 56.6mm so it clears the G3 hub. Why G3 Fitment Is Stable Across Both Model Years

The G3 kept the same hub geometry across both 2009 and 2010 model years. The 1.6L Ecotec four cylinder, the five speed manual, the four speed automatic, base trim, the optional package, and the hatchback body style all share the same 4x100 bolt pattern, 56.6mm hub bore, M12x1.5 lug thread, and brake package on the catalog. There was no performance trim of the US-market G3, no SS package, no GT variant, so the catalog row is uniform across the model.

The diameter window we measure on the G3 runs 15 inch on the low end up to 19 inch on the show-build end. Factory G3 wheels were 15 inch steel or alloy depending on package. 16 to 17 inch is the most common G3 aftermarket choice for everyday driving because the small fender opening and modest wheelhouse on this subcompact don't accept tall sidewalls comfortably. The G3 is a front wheel drive subcompact, so staggered fitment is not supported on this platform and the catalog runs the same width front and rear.
