Both vehicles launched in 2022 and share the same skateboard EV platform underneath. Rivian fitment is simple because both models share the same bolt pattern and similar fitment windows. The R1T and R1S both use 5x139.7 (5x5.5), the truck class pattern shared with the Ram 1500. The shared pattern means Rivian owners have access to a broader truck aftermarket wheel selection than most EVs offer. Both Rivians ship square from the factory because of the off road platform engineering. Brake clearance differs between the R1T and R1S because of the slight weight and brake package differences. The shared 5x139.7 pattern with the Ram 1500 gives Rivian owners access to a broader truck aftermarket wheel selection than most EVs offer. Offset windows differ from the Ram because the Rivian sits on a wider track and a different brake package.

How We Confirm Fitment

Element Wheels measures fitment on Rivian models we sell wheels for. For each chassis and brake combination we measure clearance from the wheel to the fender, gap between the back of the wheel and any suspension components, brake caliper height, hub protrusion, lug height, and how much room the front wheel has when turning lock to lock. We do this on the car, not from a spec sheet.

That measurement work covers the most active Rivian platforms across the catalog. The R1T pickup and R1S SUV are tracked together on the 5x139.7 platform with the same offset windows because they share the skateboard EV chassis. Brake clearance is consistent across the launch lineup. The Quad Motor and Performance Dual Motor trims share the same fitment window.
