Scion xD Aftermarket Wheel Fitment
The Scion xD is the front-drive subcompact hatchback Scion sold in the US market from 2008 through 2014. Underneath, the xD is built on the Toyota ist / Yaris-derived B platform that Toyota used for small hatches in other markets. The Scion xD replaced the 1st generation Scion xA in the small-hatch slot when Scion refreshed its lineup in 2008. The xD ran a single trim across its seven-year US production span. Bolt pattern is 5-lug 5x100 with a 54.1mm hub bore. Thread pitch is M12x1.5. Brake hardware is matched front and rear on every xD. The xD shares the 5x100 / 54.1mm fitment family with the 1st generation Scion tC (2005-2010), which makes that a legitimate cross-shop direction. Pick your xD below and the wheel and rim recommendations follow.
Find Your Scion xD
Pick your xD to see wheels and rims that fit. The xD ran a single trim and a single drivetrain across its 2008-2014 US production span. Bolt pattern (5-lug 5x100), hub bore (54.1mm), thread pitch (M12x1.5), and the diameter and width windows are constant. Brake hardware is matched front and rear.
The Scion xD Bolt Pattern
Every Scion xD (2008-2014) uses a 5-lug 5x100 bolt pattern with a 54.1mm hub bore. Lug count is five, thread pitch is M12x1.5. The same spec is shared with the 1st generation Scion tC (2005-2010), so a same-era 1st gen tC wheel will share lug math and hub centering with the xD. The 5x100 / 54.1mm pattern is also found on a number of compact Subaru and Volkswagen platforms, which opens cross-shop options in those directions.
Important to flag clearly: 5x100 is NOT the same as 5x114.3. Both are 5-lug, but the bolt circle diameter is different (100mm vs 114.3mm). A 5x100 wheel will not fit a 5x114.3 hub and the other way around. Mainstream Toyota cars (Camry, Avalon, the 2nd generation Scion tC, the 2nd generation Scion xB, and the 2nd generation Toyota Corolla) all run 5x114.3 / 60.1mm, so wheels from those platforms will NOT fit an xD. The xD runs the compact-class 5x100 spec instead. Compare across the rest of the Scion lineup at our Scion wheels and rims hub.
Same Fitment Family as the 1st Generation tC
Within the Scion lineup, the xD shares the 5x100 / 54.1mm wheel hardware with the 1st generation Scion tC (2005-2010). That makes cross-shopping between the two cars a useful starting point: if a wheel fits a 1st generation tC at the same diameter and width spec, it shares lug math and hub centering with the xD. Width and offset still need to be checked against the xD body specifically because the xD is a smaller, lighter hatchback with different suspension geometry than the tC coupe. Wheels from the 2nd generation tC (5x114.3 / 60.1mm) and the 2nd generation xB (5x114.3 / 60.1mm) do NOT cross to the xD even though they are all Scions. The xD's 5x100 / 54.1mm spec is a different fitment family.
Element Wheels Measured Aftermarket Fitment, Scion xD
Publishable factory and wheel specs across the Scion xD lineup:
- xD (2008-2014): 5-lug 5x100 bolt pattern, 54.1mm hub bore, M12x1.5 thread pitch. Element aftermarket diameter range: 16-20 inch. Width range: 6-8 inch front and rear. Square setup. Front and rear brake matched.
For your exact aftermarket offset, three options:
- 1. Use our Year/Make/Model search to see wheels that fit your specific xD (each listing shows its own offset).
- 2. Browse the xD wheel gallery for real-life builds with size, offset, and tire spec captions.
- 3. Call or chat with our team for a free fitment consultation.
Every wheel we recommend is backed by our Fitment Guarantee. If a wheel does not fit, we pick up the wheels and refund 100 percent. No risk to you.
How We Confirm Fitment on Scion xD Wheels
Element Wheels measures fitment on the platforms we sell wheels for, including the xD across its 2008-2014 production run. For the xD that means clearance from the wheel to the fender, gap between the back of the wheel and the suspension, brake caliper height, hub bore confirmation (the xD runs 54.1mm), lug count and thread pitch confirmation (5-lug, M12x1.5), and turning clearance with the wheel and tire installed. At our fitment facility in Chandler, Arizona, the Element Wheels team measures directly on the physical platforms we support. We don't pull specs from manufacturer sheets the way most retailers do. That measurement work is what produced the 16 inch diameter floor and the 6 inch width floor on this page, both narrower than what a typical mid-size Toyota would carry.
Scion xD Wheels and Rims FAQ
What is the bolt pattern on a Scion xD?
Every Scion xD (2008-2014) uses a 5-lug 5x100 bolt pattern with a 54.1mm hub bore. Thread pitch is M12x1.5. Lug count is five. That is the compact-class spec, not the larger 5x114.3 / 60.1mm pattern that mainstream Toyota cars use.
Will wheels from other Scion models fit a Scion xD?
Within the Scion lineup, only the 1st generation Scion tC (2005-2010) shares the same 5x100 / 54.1mm spec. A same-era 1st gen tC wheel will share lug math and hub centering with the xD. The 2nd generation tC (2011-2016) and the 2nd generation xB (2008-2015) run 5x114.3 / 60.1mm, so they do NOT cross to the xD. The Scion FR-S (2013-2016) is also 5x100 but with a different 56.1mm hub bore and a different M12x1.25 thread pitch, so it is not a drop-in match either.
Will Toyota Camry or Toyota Corolla wheels fit a Scion xD?
No. Mainstream Toyota cars of the same era (Camry, Avalon, 2nd generation Corolla, RAV4) run 5x114.3 / 60.1mm. The xD runs 5x100 / 54.1mm. Both bolt pattern and hub bore are different, so wheels from those platforms will not bolt onto an xD. Looks similar across the Toyota lineup, but it doesn't cross.
What is the hub bore on a Scion xD?
Every Scion xD runs a 54.1mm hub bore. If your fitment needs rings, they'll be included with the order.
What size wheels and tires came on the Scion xD from the factory?
The xD shipped with 16 inch factory wheels matched front and rear (square setup). Confirm your specific build in the owner manual or the Monroney sticker if it is still in the door jamb area.
Can I run staggered wheels on a Scion xD?
We recommend square on the xD. The car is front-wheel-drive, the factory shipped square, and our measured aftermarket window keeps front and rear width matched in the 6-8 inch range. A staggered look on a front-wheel-drive subcompact hatch does not pay off the way it does on a rear-wheel-drive sedan. A square setup also keeps tire rotation possible across all four corners.
What is the largest wheel I can fit on a Scion xD?
Our measured aftermarket window tops at 20 inch on the xD. The full range is 16-20 inch. Above 20 inch the tire sidewall gets too thin for a daily-driver subcompact where ride quality matters, and the small body starts looking out of proportion to the wheel.
Do I need hub centric rings on a Scion xD?
Hub centric rings only when the aftermarket wheel has a centerbore larger than 54.1mm. That holds across every xD. If your fitment needs rings, they'll be included with the order.
