Subaru discontinued the Legacy in North America after the 2025 model year, so the BW is the last Legacy sold here. Starting with the 6th gen BN (2015), Subaru moved the Legacy to 5x114.3 with the same 56.1mm hub bore. The final 7th gen BW (2020-2025) continued on 5x114.3. A 5x100 wheel from a 2014 or earlier Legacy will NOT bolt onto a 2015 or later Legacy. Confirm your model year before ordering. The Legacy and the Outback share their underlying platform (the Outback is the raised, all-terrain-body wagon version of the Legacy), so the bolt pattern transition happened in lockstep on both cars at 2015. The Subaru Legacy Bolt Pattern, and the 2015 Switch

From the 1990 model year through 2014, every Subaru Legacy ran 5x100 with a 56.1mm hub bore. That covered the 1st gen BC (1990-1993), the 2nd gen BD (1994-1998), the 3rd gen BE (2000-2004), the 4th gen BL (2005-2009), and the 5th gen BM (2010-2014). 5x100 is the Subaru naturally-aspirated standard of that era, shared with the standard Impreza, Crosstrek, Forester, BR-Z, and the Outback wagon Subaru built on the Legacy platform.

The 6th gen BN Legacy (2015-2019) moved to 5x114.3 with the same 56.1mm hub bore. The Legacy and the Outback share their underlying platform, so the bolt pattern transition happened in lockstep on both cars at the 2015 model year. The final 7th gen BW Legacy (2020-2025) continued on 5x114.3 / 56.1mm. A 5x100 wheel from a 2014 or earlier Legacy will NOT bolt onto a 2015 or later Legacy. Confirm your model year before ordering. The 5x114.3 pattern is also written as 5x4.5 in imperial (114.3mm = 4.5 inches), but that imperial nickname refers ONLY to 5x114.3, not to 5x115. A wheel listed for 5x115 (Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger LX) will not bolt to a 2015 or later Legacy either.

The hub bore stays 56.1mm across every Legacy generation from 1990 forward, so the hub-fit geometry is consistent across the entire 35-year run even when the bolt pattern changes. One more detail specific to Subaru: the wheel lug thread on the Legacy is 12x1.25, not the 12x1.5 used on Toyota, Honda, Hyundai, and Kia. Subaru uses a longitudinally-mounted boxer engine paired with a center differential and front-rear torque split. That drivetrain requires matched circumference at all four corners. A wheel and tire combo that is taller in the rear than the front (or vice versa) confuses the center diff and stresses the transfer case over miles.
