The 2006-2009 Volkswagen Rabbit uses 5x112 with a 57.1mm hub bore and M14x1.5 lug bolts. The 5x112 / 57.1mm spec is the same passenger-car interface used across the modern VW Group lineup including the Mk5 Golf, Mk5 GTI, Mk5 Jetta, and the Eos. VW runs lug bolts on the Rabbit, not lug studs and nuts the way most American compacts do. The lug bolt threads directly into the hub, the wheel sits between the head of the bolt and the hub face, and there is no fixed lug stud to align the wheel before tightening. This makes a hub-centric fit more important on the Rabbit than on a stud-and-nut compact.

The Rabbit reissue is mechanically the Mk5 Golf platform, so the 5x112 / 57.1mm wheel interface is shared with every Mk5 Golf, GTI, Jetta, and Eos of that era. The Rabbit name covers two completely different cars across two completely different eras in North America. The 1975-1984 original Rabbit was the Mk1 Golf, a 4x100 bolt pattern compact with small diameters and lug bolt threads that have nothing in common with the modern Rabbit. The 2006-2009 Rabbit reissue is the Mk5 Golf platform, the modern 5x112 / 57.1mm hub spec with M14x1.5 lug bolts. The two cars do NOT share wheels. Aftermarket listings for "VW Rabbit" without a year filter sometimes default to the wrong generation, so always confirm your year before ordering wheels.

Within the 2006-2009 reissue, every trim (the base Rabbit and the dressier S and Sport trims) uses the same 5x112 bolt pattern, 57.1mm hub bore, and M14x1.5 lug bolts. The Rabbit was offered with the 2.5L inline five engine as the only powertrain in the US (the GTI carried the turbocharged 2.0T as a separate model).
