The Acura TL was Acura's volume luxury sedan from 1996 through 2014, sold across four generations before Acura replaced the TL with the TLX for the 2015 model year. The TL is a discontinued nameplate now, but the catalog stays live because TL wheel fitment is still a common request from owners of the 2004-2008 3rd gen (UA6 / UA7) and the 2009-2014 4th gen (UA8 / UA9). The bolt pattern moved twice across the TL lifetime. The 1996-1998 TL 2.5 (the entry-level 4-cylinder TL) ran 4x114.3 with a 64.1mm hub bore. The 1996-1998 TL 3.2, the 1999-2003 TL 3.2 and TL-S, and the 2004-2008 TL all run 5x114.3 with a 64.1mm hub bore. The 2009-2014 4th gen TL moves to 5x120 with the same 64.1mm hub bore. Two performance variants matter for clearance: the 2004-2008 TL with the optional Brembo brake package and the 1999-2003 TL-S (and 2007-2008 TL Type-S) carry larger front brakes. The Acura TL Bolt Pattern Across 19 Model Years

The TL has carried three bolt patterns across its production run from 1996 to 2014. The 1996-1998 TL 2.5 was the entry-level 4-cylinder variant and ran 4x114.3 (also called 4x4.5) with a 64.1mm hub bore. The 4-lug pattern is the outlier within the TL lineup. Every other TL is a 5-lug car. The 1996-1998 TL 3.2, 1999-2003 TL 3.2, 1999-2003 TL-S, and 2004-2008 TL (including the 2007-2008 TL Type-S and the Brembo brake package) all run 5x114.3 with a 64.1mm hub bore. The 5x114.3 era is by far the most common and the longest-running pattern across the TL nameplate.

The 2009-2014 4th gen TL (UA8 front-wheel-drive, UA9 SH-AWD) moves to 5x120 with the same 64.1mm hub bore. That is the same 5x120 pattern Acura was running on the same-era MDX and RL. A wheel from a 2008 TL (5x114.3) does not bolt onto a 2009 TL (5x120) and vice versa, even though the cars look related from the outside. The 2009 model year transition is the single most important spec to confirm when cross-shopping TL wheels. Why the TL-S, Type-S, and Brembo TL Are Separate Fitments

The TL had three performance-oriented variants across its lifetime, and we measure each one separately. The 1999-2003 TL-S is the high-output V6 version of the 2nd gen TL, with a narrower width window than the base TL 3.2 of the same generation. The 2007-2008 TL Type-S (a 3rd gen variant) and the 2004-2008 TL with the optional Brembo brake package both carry larger front brake calipers than the base 3rd gen TL. On the Brembo-package 3rd gen TL specifically, the front Brembo caliper takes more inner clearance behind the wheel face, and the rear width window opens up wider (9 to 9.5 inch) than the front (8 to 9 inch), so the 3rd gen TL Brembo is a staggered fitment from our window. The 2009-2014 4th gen TL is a square-fitment car across both FWD and SH-AWD variants.
