Dodge Avenger Aftermarket Wheel Fitment
The Dodge Avenger nameplate covers two very different cars across two production runs. The 1st gen Avenger (1995-2000) was a front wheel drive coupe built on a Mitsubishi-engineered platform, sold alongside the Chrysler Sebring coupe and the Eagle Talon of the same era. The 2nd gen Avenger (2008-2014) was a mid-size front wheel drive sedan on the Chrysler JS platform, sold alongside the first gen Chrysler 200 (formerly Sebring sedan). Despite the eight year gap between generations and the body style change from coupe to sedan, every Avenger we have measured uses 5x114.3 with a 67.1mm hub bore and M12x1.5 lug nuts. The bolt math carries cleanly across both generations. The aftermarket diameter window does not, because the early-90s coupe and the late-2000s sedan have different fender geometry. Element Wheels measures both generations and tracks them as separate fitment families. Find your wheels and rims below.
Find Your Dodge Avenger Generation
Pick your generation to see wheels and rims that fit your specific Avenger. The two generations share the same bolt pattern and hub bore but sit on entirely different chassis. The 1st gen coupe and the 2nd gen sedan are not the same car under different skin, they are different vehicles that happen to share a nameplate.
The Dodge Avenger Bolt Pattern
Every Dodge Avenger we have measured uses 5x114.3 with a 67.1mm hub bore. That covers the 1995-2000 coupe and the 2008-2014 sedan. 5x114.3 also goes by the imperial nickname 5x4.5 (114.3mm equals 4.5 inches), so a wheel listing labeled "5x4.5" is the same bolt pattern as 5x114.3 and will fit either Avenger generation. The lug spec is M12x1.5 lug nuts on traditional studs.
Important safety note: 5x114.3 is NOT the same as 5x115. The two patterns are separated by 0.7mm, and the studs do not line up cleanly. The Dodge Charger and Challenger run 5x115 (not 5x114.3), so wheels from a Charger or Challenger will NOT fit an Avenger. 5x114.3 is also NOT the same as 5x110, which is the pattern on the Dart, the second generation Chrysler 200, and the Cherokee KL. The Avenger sits on its own pattern family within the late-2000s Dodge lineup. Compare across the rest of the Dodge lineup at our Dodge wheels and rims hub.
1st Gen Coupe vs 2nd Gen Sedan Avenger Fitment
The two Avenger generations are essentially different cars under one nameplate. The 1st gen Avenger (1995-2000) was a two door coupe built on a shared Mitsubishi-Chrysler platform that also produced the Chrysler Sebring coupe and the Eagle Talon. It was front wheel drive only, ran a 16 to 17 inch factory wheel, and used 5x114.3 / 67.1mm with M12x1.5 lugs. The 2nd gen Avenger (2008-2014) was a four door sedan on the Chrysler JS platform, sold as a fleet and retail mid-size sedan alongside the first generation Chrysler 200 (which was a renamed Sebring sedan). It ran 17 to 18 inch factory wheels with the same 5x114.3 / 67.1mm / M12x1.5 spec. Both generations are square (same width front and rear) and front wheel drive.

How We Confirm Fitment on Dodge Avenger Wheels
Element Wheels measures fitment on the Avenger directly across both generations. For the Avenger that means clearance from the wheel to the fender on both axles, gap between the back of the wheel and the strut tower and suspension components, brake caliper height (equal-size front and rear brakes on both generations), hub bore confirmation at 67.1mm, lug seat depth for the M12x1.5 thread, and turning clearance on the front at full lock. At our fitment facility in Chandler, Arizona, the Element Wheels team measures directly on the physical platforms we support. We don't pull specs from manufacturer sheets the way most retailers do.
That measurement work is what lets us flag the Avenger's pattern crossover risks directly. Customers occasionally cross-shop wheels between an Avenger sedan and a Dodge Dart on the assumption that they are related platforms (the Dart launched in 2013, during the late years of the 2nd gen Avenger production run). They are not. The Avenger sedan runs 5x114.3 on 67.1mm and the Dart runs 5x110 on 65.1mm. Different patterns, different hub bores, different lug threads. The Dart was the compact replacement for the Caliber hatchback on a new platform (CUSW), not a successor to the Avenger sedan.
Dodge Avenger Wheels and Rims FAQ
What is the bolt pattern on a Dodge Avenger?
Every Dodge Avenger uses 5x114.3 with a 67.1mm hub bore and M12x1.5 lug nuts. That covers both the 1995-2000 coupe and the 2008-2014 sedan. 5x114.3 also goes by the imperial nickname 5x4.5, so a wheel labeled "5x4.5" is the same pattern and will fit either Avenger.
Did the Dodge Avenger bolt pattern change between generations?
No. The 1st gen Avenger coupe (1995-2000) and the 2nd gen Avenger sedan (2008-2014) both use 5x114.3 with a 67.1mm hub bore. The two generations sit on completely different chassis (the 1st gen coupe was on a Mitsubishi-Chrysler platform, the 2nd gen sedan was on the Chrysler JS platform), but the bolt math carries cleanly across both. The aftermarket diameter range and fender geometry are different, so a wheel that looks right on one generation will not necessarily look right on the other.
Will Dodge Dart wheels fit a Dodge Avenger?
No. The Dart runs 5x110 with a 65.1mm hub bore and M12x1.25 lug nuts on the CUSW platform. The Avenger sedan runs 5x114.3 with a 67.1mm hub bore and M12x1.5 lug nuts on the JS platform. The two patterns are 4.3mm apart and the lug threads are different. Dart wheels do not bolt to an Avenger and Avenger wheels do not bolt to a Dart, despite the cars being sold in overlapping years.
Will Dodge Charger or Challenger wheels fit an Avenger?
No. The Charger and Challenger run 5x115 with a 71.5mm hub bore on the LX platform. The Avenger runs 5x114.3 with a 67.1mm hub bore. The two patterns are separated by 0.7mm and the studs do not line up cleanly. Charger and Challenger wheels do not bolt to an Avenger. If a seller tells you they cross, treat it as a red flag.
Are Dodge Avenger wheels staggered?
No. Both Avenger generations are front wheel drive and run square (same width front and rear) from the factory. The aftermarket sticks to square. Front wheel drive cars do not benefit from a staggered setup and the platforms do not accommodate one as a recommended configuration.
What size wheels came on the Dodge Avenger from the factory?
1st gen coupes (1995-2000) shipped on 16 to 17 inch factory wheels depending on trim and year. 2nd gen sedans (2008-2014) shipped on 17 to 18 inch factory wheels, with the R/T trim getting the larger 18 inch as standard. Element aftermarket coverage runs 16-20 inch on the coupe and 17-20 inch on the sedan, with 17 to 18 inch being the most common aftermarket choice for both generations.
What is the largest wheel I can fit on a Dodge Avenger?
Our measured aftermarket window tops at 20 inch on both generations of the Avenger, with widths up to 8 inch on the 1st gen coupe and 8.5 inch on the 2nd gen sedan. Above 20 inch the tire sidewall thins to a point where ride quality drops sharply and curb damage risk climbs on a mid-size front wheel drive platform. 17 to 18 inch tends to give the best balance of look and ride on either generation.
Do I need hub centric rings on a Dodge Avenger?
Hub centric rings only when the aftermarket wheel has a centerbore larger than 67.1mm. If your fitment needs rings, they'll be included with the order.
