The Dodge Intrepid Bolt Pattern

Every 1993-2004 Dodge Intrepid uses a 5x114.3 bolt pattern with a 71.5mm hub bore and an M12x1.5 lug thread. 5x114.3 is also written as 5x4.5 in imperial (114.3mm = 4.5 inch). Same pattern, two naming conventions. The 5x114.3 bolt pattern carries across the entire Chrysler LH platform, which means the Intrepid shares its hub geometry with the Chrysler Concorde, Chrysler LHS, Chrysler 300M, and (first generation only) the Eagle Vision. This is a legitimate same-platform rebadge family, so a wheel that fits a same-generation LH sibling fits the Intrepid.

Important distinction: 5x114.3 is NOT the same as 5x115. The two patterns sit only about 0.7mm apart and are close enough on a spec sheet to look interchangeable, but running a 5x115 wheel on a 5x114.3 hub stresses the wheel studs and is a safety concern. Why Intrepid Fitment Is Stable Across the 1993-2004 Run

The Intrepid kept the same LH-platform hub geometry through both generations of its production run. First generation (1993-1997) and second generation (1998-2004), base, ES, SXT, and the R/T performance trim (2000-2004) of the same model year all share the same bolt pattern, hub bore, lug thread, and brake architecture on the catalog. The R/T paired the 3.5L High Output V6 with revised suspension tuning, but Chrysler did not upgrade the hub or fundamentally re-architect the brake package; the R/T's brakes were tuned for higher heat capacity but still measure within the same window as the base car for wheel clearance purposes.

What does change across the production run is the diameter window we comfortably measure. The first-generation cars sit on 15 to 16 inch factory wheels and accept aftermarket wheels up to 19 inch without rubbing. The second-generation cars (1998-2004) accept the full 16 to 21 inch range we publish, with R/T owners and show-build customers most often running 18 to 20 inch. The Intrepid is a square-fitment car.
