Dodge Stealth Aftermarket Wheel Fitment
The Dodge Stealth is a 1991-1996 sport coupe built on Mitsubishi's Z16A chassis as the Dodge-badged twin of the Mitsubishi 3000GT. Both cars were assembled at Mitsubishi's Nagoya plant on the same production line. Element Wheels measures fitment on the base Stealth and on the R/T trim (which includes the AWD twin-turbo R/T Turbo, the equivalent of the Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4). Every Stealth we cover uses the same 5x114.3 bolt pattern with a 67.1mm hub bore, M12x1.5 lug thread, and 5 lugs. The R/T Turbo runs a meaningfully larger front brake than the base car. Pick the trim row below.
Find Your Dodge Stealth Trim
The 1991-1996 Stealth splits into two fitment rows based on the brake package and the drivetrain that came with the trim. Bolt pattern stays 5x114.3 across both. The R/T (and especially the AWD R/T Turbo) carries bigger front brakes than the base FWD Stealth. Pick your trim below.
The Dodge Stealth Bolt Pattern
Every 1991-1996 Dodge Stealth uses a 5x114.3 bolt pattern with a 67.1mm hub bore and an M12x1.5 lug thread. 5x114.3 is also written as 5x4.5 in imperial (114.3mm = 4.5 inch). Same pattern, two naming conventions. The 67.1mm centerbore is the Mitsubishi-platform hub bore that carries across the 3000GT, the Stealth, the Mitsubishi GTO export model, and several other Mitsubishi performance cars of the same era.
Important distinction: 5x114.3 is NOT the same as 5x115. The two patterns sit only about 0.7mm apart and are close enough on a spec sheet to look interchangeable, but running a 5x115 wheel on a 5x114.3 hub stresses the wheel studs and is a safety concern. The Stealth is 5x114.3 specifically. Compare across the rest of the Dodge lineup at our Dodge wheels and rims hub.
Trim Differences Across the Dodge Stealth
The Stealth has two fitment rows because of the brake package, not the bolt pattern. Base Stealth and Stealth ES are front wheel drive cars with the standard Mitsubishi-spec front brake. Stealth R/T splits into a front wheel drive R/T and the all wheel drive R/T Turbo (the U.S.-market equivalent of the Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4), and both R/T variants come with a larger front brake assembly than the base car. Front brakes larger than rear is standard performance car geometry on the R/T.
The R/T Turbo (AWD) must run a square fitment because the AWD system requires the same rolling diameter at all four corners. The FWD base, ES, and R/T can run either square or staggered, customer preference. We measure each variant directly so the catalog reflects what actually clears the bigger R/T brake assembly, not just what the spec sheet implies.
Element Wheels Measured Aftermarket Fitment, Dodge Stealth
Publishable factory and wheel specs across the Stealth trims we cover:
- 1991-1996 Stealth (base, ES, FWD): 5x114.3 bolt pattern, 67.1mm hub bore, M12x1.5 lug thread, 5 lug. Element aftermarket diameter range: 17-20 inch. Aftermarket width range: 8-9 inch front, 9-9.5 inch rear. Square or staggered allowed. Same brake size front and rear.
- 1991-1996 Stealth R/T (including AWD R/T Turbo): 5x114.3 bolt pattern, 67.1mm hub bore, M12x1.5 lug thread, 5 lug. Element aftermarket diameter range: 17-20 inch. Aftermarket width range: 8-9 inch front, 9-9.5 inch rear. Larger front brake than rear (R/T spec). AWD R/T Turbo must run a square fitment; FWD R/T can run square or staggered.
For your exact aftermarket offset, three options:
- 1. Use our Year/Make/Model search to see wheels that fit your specific Stealth (each listing shows its own offset).
- 2. Browse the Stealth wheel gallery for real-life builds with size, offset, and tire spec captions.
- 3. Call or chat with our team for a free fitment consultation.
Every wheel we recommend is backed by our Fitment Guarantee. If a wheel does not fit, we pick up the wheels and refund 100 percent. No risk to you.
How We Confirm Fitment on Dodge Stealth Wheels
Element Wheels measures fitment on the Stealth directly, across the base FWD car and the R/T trim with its bigger front brake. For the Stealth that means hub bore confirmation at 67.1mm, clearance from the wheel to the fender on the wide rear quarters, gap between the back of the wheel and the front strut, brake caliper height at both the standard Mitsubishi spec and the R/T's bigger front assembly, lug seat depth, and lug thread confirmation at M12x1.5. At our fitment facility in Chandler, Arizona, the Element Wheels team measures directly on the physical platforms we support. We don't pull these from manufacturer spec sheets the way most retailers do.
Dodge Stealth Wheels and Rims FAQ
What is the bolt pattern on a Dodge Stealth?
Every 1991-1996 Dodge Stealth uses a 5x114.3 bolt pattern with a 67.1mm hub bore and an M12x1.5 lug thread. Base, ES, R/T, and the AWD R/T Turbo all share the same bolt pattern and hub bore. 5x114.3 is also written as 5x4.5 in imperial (114.3mm = 4.5 inch).
Is the Dodge Stealth the same car as the Mitsubishi 3000GT?
Yes, the Stealth is the Dodge-badged twin of the Mitsubishi 3000GT. Both cars were built on Mitsubishi's Z16A chassis at the same Nagoya plant on the same production line. They share bolt pattern, hub bore, brake architecture by equivalent trim, suspension geometry, and the V6 powertrain. The Stealth R/T Turbo is the U.S.-market equivalent of the 3000GT VR-4. Wheels that fit a same-trim 3000GT will fit a Stealth.
Does the Stealth R/T Turbo need different wheels than the base Stealth?
Same 5x114.3 bolt pattern, same 67.1mm hub bore, same M12x1.5 lug thread. What changes is the front brake. The R/T Turbo carries a meaningfully larger front brake assembly than the base FWD car. Aftermarket wheels that clear a base Stealth's front caliper still need to be checked against the R/T Turbo's bigger front brake before they will fit. If you have an R/T Turbo, mention the trim when you contact us and we'll confirm front caliper clearance.
Can I run a staggered setup on a Stealth R/T Turbo?
No. The all wheel drive R/T Turbo must run a square fitment, all four corners the same diameter and width. AWD systems on this platform require the same rolling diameter at every wheel; running different-size front and rear wheels on AWD causes driveline binding and accelerates wear on the transfer case. The front wheel drive base, ES, and FWD R/T can run either square or staggered, customer preference.
Is 5x114.3 the same as 5x115?
No. 5x114.3 and 5x115 are distinct bolt patterns. They sit only about 0.7mm apart on the hub circle, close enough to look interchangeable on a spec sheet but far enough that running a 5x115 wheel on a 5x114.3 hub will stress the studs and is a safety concern. The Stealth is 5x114.3 specifically, not 5x115. 5x4.5 imperial = 5x114.3 only.
Is the Dodge Stealth discontinued?
Yes. Dodge ended Stealth production after the 1996 model year. The U.S. captive-import arrangement with Mitsubishi for this body style ended at the same time. The Mitsubishi 3000GT continued in the global market through 1999. Our catalog continues to support the 1991-1996 Stealth indefinitely.
What is the largest wheel I can fit on a Dodge Stealth?
20 inch is the top of our measured aftermarket window on the Stealth. The factory wheel range was 16 to 18 inch depending on trim (the R/T Turbo came on 17 to 18 inch from the dealer). 18 to 19 inch is the most common Stealth aftermarket choice; 20 inch is the show-build top end. Above 20 inch, the tire sidewall thins enough that ride quality drops on the relatively short-travel Z16A suspension.
Do I need hub centric rings on a Dodge Stealth?
Hub centric rings only when the aftermarket wheel has a centerbore larger than the Stealth's 67.1mm factory hub bore. If your fitment needs rings, they'll be included with the order.
