The Kia Optima was sold in the United States from the 2001 model year through 2020, when Kia renamed the nameplate to K5 worldwide. Across two decades of production the Optima saw four generations and one fitment change that matters for wheel buyers. The 1st gen Optima MS (2001-2006) is a 4-lug car running 4x114.3 with a 67.1mm hub bore. Every Optima from the 2nd gen MG (2007-2010) forward, including the 3rd gen TF (2011-2015) and the 4th gen JF (2016-2020), moved to a 5-lug 5x114.3 pattern with the same 67.1mm hub bore. The 4-lug to 5-lug change is the single most important fact on this hub. A 5x114.3 wheel built for a 2010 or newer Optima will not bolt onto a 2001-2006 Optima, and the reverse is also true. The Kia Optima Bolt Pattern Change at the 2007 Redesign

The 1st gen Kia Optima MS (2001-2006) launched in the United States as a compact-to-midsize sedan with four lug studs per wheel. The bolt pattern is 4x114.3 with a 67.1mm hub bore. 4-lug patterns were standard equipment on most economy and lower-midsize sedans of that era, including the Hyundai Sonata of the same period and the period Honda Accord and Toyota Camry base trims. The 4-lug fitment carries through every 1st gen Optima trim, including the V6 LX and V6 SE. Wheel diameter in our catalog window for the 1st gen tops at 18 inch.

For the 2007 model year Kia redesigned the Optima onto a new mid-size sedan platform (the 2nd gen MG) and added a fifth lug stud per wheel. The bolt pattern became 5x114.3 with the same 67.1mm hub bore, and that spec carried through every subsequent Optima generation: the 3rd gen TF (2011-2015) and the 4th gen JF (2016-2020). The imperial nickname for 5x114.3 is 5x4.5, since 114.3mm equals exactly 4.5 inches. That pattern is the modern Hyundai-Kia midsize sedan standard, shared with the Hyundai Sonata of the same era, the Honda Civic from 2004 forward, the Nissan Altima, and most Toyota Camry generations.

Worth flagging because we see it confuse buyers. 5x114.3 is NOT the same as 5x115. The two patterns sit about 0.7mm apart on the hub circle and a wheel built for one will not properly seat on the other. The 5x4.5 imperial nickname refers to 5x114.3 only. The 5x115 pattern used on the Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger, and Cadillac CTS will not fit any Optima.
