Kia Aftermarket Wheel Fitment
Kia is one of the highest growth mainstream platforms in our customer base, anchored by the Forte, Optima, Sportage, Sorento, Telluride, and the Stinger enthusiast sport sedan. The new K4 and K5 (Optima replacements), EV6 and EV9 (electric), Soul, and Carnival round out the volume. The Cadenza, K900, Niro, Seltos, and the legacy Rio, Spectra, Sephia, Sedona, Amanti, and Borrego cover the rest of the lineup. Kia fitment is clean. The current lineup uses 5x114.3 across nearly every model. Older small cars (Rio, Spectra, Sephia) used 4x100 or 4x114.3 before the lineup unified. The Borrego (2009-2011, body on frame SUV) used 6x139.7 like a truck. A wheel that fits your Optima or K5 will fit a Sorento. Element Wheels has measured fitment across the majority of Kia platforms in our 23-model catalog so the wheels we show you have been validated for your exact chassis. Pick your Kia model below and you can rest assured the wheels and rims will fit the way you want every time.

The Kia Bolt Pattern Landscape
Kia is one of the cleanest bolt pattern landscapes on the site. The current lineup unifies on 5x114.3. The exceptions are the older small cars (4-lug patterns) and the discontinued Borrego SUV (6-lug truck pattern).
Kia bolt patterns at a glance
Modern Kia lineup (Forte, Optima, K5, K4, Sportage, Sorento, Telluride, Stinger, Soul, EV6, EV9, Carnival, Cadenza, K900, Niro, Seltos, modern Rio, Sedona, Amanti): 5x114.3. The Kia mainstream pattern shared across nearly every model.
Older small cars (older Rio, older Spectra, Sephia, older Rondo): 4x100 or 4x114.3 depending on year. The compact car patterns from the early Kia US lineup.
Borrego (2009-2011): 6x139.7. The discontinued body-on-frame SUV runs the light-duty truck pattern. Does not cross with any other Kia.
The takeaway is that wheels cross between most modern Kias on the 5x114.3 pattern. The Stinger runs the largest factory brakes in the lineup and needs more wheel clearance. The Borrego is the only truck-pattern Kia. Older small cars need their bolt pattern confirmed by year.
How We Confirm Fitment
Element Wheels measures fitment on Kia models we sell wheels for. For each chassis and brake combination we measure clearance from the wheel to the fender, gap between the back of the wheel and any suspension components, brake caliper height, hub protrusion, lug height, and how much room the front wheel has when turning lock to lock. We do this on the car or SUV, not from a spec sheet.
That measurement work covers the most active Kia platforms across the catalog. The Stinger is tracked separately from the rest of the lineup because of the larger Brembo brake option and the GT trim staggered fitment. The Telluride is tracked separately from the Sorento because the platform is larger. The Borrego is tracked separately because it is the only truck-pattern Kia. Older small car generations are tracked separately for the bolt pattern transitions. Our fitment recommendations come from these direct measurements rather than manufacturer spec sheets.
Every wheel we recommend is backed by our Fitment Guarantee. If a wheel does not fit, we pick up the wheels and refund 100 percent. No risk to you.
Kia Wheel and Rim FAQ
What is the most popular Kia aftermarket platform?
The Forte, Optima, K5, Sportage, and Sorento lead Kia's mainstream aftermarket volume. The Telluride and Stinger anchor the premium and enthusiast volume. The EV6 and EV9 are growing as the electric lineup matures.
What is the Kia bolt pattern?
Most modern Kias use 5x114.3, including the Forte, Optima, K5, Sportage, Sorento, Telluride, Stinger, Soul, EV6, EV9, and Carnival. Older small cars used 4x100 or 4x114.3. The discontinued Borrego SUV used 6x139.7.
Will Optima wheels fit a K5?
Yes. The K5 is the Optima's direct replacement in the Kia lineup. Both use 5x114.3 with very similar offset windows and brake clearance. The K5 GT trim runs a slightly larger brake than the base K5 and the late-model Optima. Wheels cross between most trims.
Will Hyundai wheels fit a Kia?
The bolt pattern is shared across most models (both use 5x114.3). Hyundai and Kia are sister brands under Hyundai Motor Group and share many platforms. The Optima and Sonata share, the Sportage and Tucson share, the Telluride and Palisade share. Offset windows and brake clearance are usually compatible between paired models, but always confirm the specific pair before assuming wheels carry across.
Are K5 and Stinger wheels interchangeable?
They share the same 5x114.3 bolt pattern, but the Stinger sits on a rear wheel drive chassis with wider track, factory staggered fitment, lower offsets, Brembo brakes on the GT trim, and wider tires than the front wheel drive K5. A K5 wheel on a Stinger will look too narrow and may not clear the brake. A Stinger wheel on a K5 will stick past the fender or rub the suspension. The two share a brand but the wheel fitment is a different family. We track them separately.
How do I find wheels for my specific Kia?
Pick your Kia model from the list above. Each model page covers the generations we have measured, with bolt pattern, offset window, and fitment specifics for each year range and trim. If you are not sure which generation or trim you have, our team can identify your exact configuration from your VIN.
