4x114.3 (also written 4x4.5 imperial, where 114.3mm equals 4.5 inches) is the 4-lug compact-car bolt pattern that Kia used across the redesigned Spectra and several other compacts of the era. The 67.1mm hub bore on the 2005-2009 Spectra is the same hub bore used on many other passenger-car platforms of similar size. Spectra Generation Fitment Boxes and the Sephia and Forte Lineage

The Spectra runs as a square fitment across every generation: same wheel spec front and rear, brake size matched front to rear. The two body styles in the 2005-2009 generation (ES sedan and Spectra5 hatchback) share the same bolt pattern, hub bore, thread, and lug count; only the aftermarket diameter floor moves up slightly on the Spectra5.

The Spectra fits between two other Kia compact nameplates in the US lineage. The Spectra replaced the Kia Sephia for the 2000 model year, and the Sephia ran the same 4x100 pattern and 54.1mm hub bore as the original 2000-2004 Spectra. The Spectra was then replaced by the Kia Forte for the 2010 model year, which shifted the bolt pattern again to the 5x114.3 (5-lug) standard that has carried through every Forte generation since. How We Confirm Fitment on Kia Spectra Wheels

For the Spectra that means clearance from the wheel to the fender, gap between the back of the wheel and the strut, hub bore confirmation (54.1mm on the original Spectra, 67.1mm on the Spectra ES and Spectra5), lug seat geometry on the M12x1.5 thread, and turning clearance with the wheel and tire installed at full lock. The chassis redesign at the 2005 model year changed more than the bolt pattern. The wheel well opened up enough on the Spectra ES and Spectra5 to clear a 17 inch and an 18 inch wheel, where the original 2000-2004 Spectra was tighter on the larger end of the diameter range. The Spectra5 hatchback was the visual sweet spot of the generation, with the hatchback proportions sitting better on a 17 or 18 inch wheel than the sedan did. We measure on both body styles separately, which is why the published aftermarket window differs slightly between the ES and the Spectra5.
