Scion Aftermarket Wheel Fitment
Scion was a Toyota youth targeted sub-brand sold in the US from 2003 through 2016 before the lineup was folded back into Toyota. The tC sport coupe, xB boxy crossover, and FR-S sport coupe are the most active aftermarket platforms in our customer base. The FR-S still pulls strong enthusiast volume because it shares the chassis with the Subaru BR-Z and the Toyota 86/GR86. Scion fitment splits across several patterns because the lineup spanned multiple Toyota platforms. The tC and xB use 5x100 (early generations) or 5x114.3 (later generations). The FR-S uses 5x100 because it is built on the Subaru BR-Z chassis. The iM uses 5x114.3 because it is the Toyota Corolla iM. The xD, iA, iQ, and xA use 4x100 on the smaller compact platforms. Element Wheels has measured fitment across the majority of Scion platforms in our 8-model catalog so the wheels we show you have been validated for your exact chassis. Pick your Scion model below and you can rest assured the wheels and rims will fit the way you want every time.

The Scion Bolt Pattern Landscape
Scion runs three bolt patterns depending on which Toyota or Subaru platform the model was based on.
Scion bolt patterns at a glance
Scion FR-S (2013-2016): 5x100. Built on the Subaru BR-Z chassis, uses the Subaru bolt pattern. The same fitment as the Toyota 86 (2017-2020) which replaced the FR-S.
Scion tC and xB (later generations), iM: 5x114.3 (also called 5x4.5). The Toyota mainstream pattern.
Scion tC and xB (early generations): 5x100. The smaller Toyota compact pattern.
Scion xD, iA, iQ, xA: 4x100. The smallest Toyota compact pattern.
The FR-S on the Subaru BR-Z platform is the most active aftermarket Scion. Wheels cross between the FR-S, the Toyota 86, and the Subaru BR-Z because all three share the chassis. The Scion tC and xB generation pattern shifts (from 5x100 to 5x114.3) are the biggest source of cross shopping surprise on the rest of the lineup.
The Scion FR-S, Subaru BR-Z Platform Share, and the Scion tC Aftermarket
The FR-S is the most active aftermarket Scion. The 5x100 bolt pattern is shared with the Subaru BR-Z (the platform sibling) and the Toyota 86 (the FR-S successor). Wheels cross between all three cars because they share the chassis. The aftermarket selection on 5x100 in this size range is broader than typical because of the strong enthusiast attention the platform has drawn.
The tC and xB are the second tier of Scion aftermarket activity. The tC (2005-2010) ran 5x100 and the tC (2011-2016) moved to 5x114.3. The xB (2004-2007) ran 5x100 and the xB (2008-2015) moved to 5x114.3. Always confirm year and generation before assuming wheels carry across the model name.
The xD, iA, iQ, and xA cover the small Scion compact aftermarket. The 4x100 bolt pattern is the same as the Toyota Yaris, Echo, and older Corolla. The aftermarket selection on 4x100 in compact car sizes is broad because of the volume of small Toyotas and Hondas that share the pattern.
How Element handles Scion fitment
The FR-S is tracked on the Subaru BR-Z platform shared with the Toyota 86. The tC and xB are tracked separately by generation because the bolt pattern changed between the early and later generations. The smaller xD, iA, iQ, and xA are tracked on the 4x100 platform.
How We Confirm Fitment
Element Wheels measures fitment on Scion models we sell wheels for. For each chassis and brake combination we measure clearance from the wheel to the fender, gap between the back of the wheel and any suspension components, brake caliper height, hub protrusion, lug height, and how much room the front wheel has when turning lock to lock. We do this on the car, not from a spec sheet.
That measurement work covers the most active Scion platforms across the catalog. The FR-S is tracked on the Subaru BR-Z platform shared with the Toyota 86. The tC and xB are tracked separately by generation because the bolt pattern changed between the early (5x100) and later (5x114.3) generations. The iM is tracked on the Toyota Corolla iM platform.
Every wheel we recommend is backed by our Fitment Guarantee. If a wheel does not fit, we pick up the wheels and refund 100 percent. No risk to you.
Scion Wheel and Rim FAQ
What is the most popular Scion aftermarket platform?
The FR-S leads Scion aftermarket volume because the platform shares the chassis with the Subaru BR-Z and Toyota 86, which both have active enthusiast aftermarkets. The tC and xB follow.
What is the Scion bolt pattern?
It depends on the model. The FR-S uses 5x100. The tC and xB use 5x100 (early generations) or 5x114.3 (later generations). The iM uses 5x114.3. The xD, iA, iQ, and xA use 4x100.
Will Subaru BR-Z wheels fit a Scion FR-S?
Yes. The FR-S and BR-Z share the chassis and the 5x100 bolt pattern. Wheels cross between the two cars without modification. The Toyota 86 (2017-2020) and GR86 (2022 onward) also share the same fitment.
Did the Scion tC bolt pattern change?
Yes. The first generation tC (2005-2010) used 5x100. The second generation tC (2011-2016) used 5x114.3. Different bolt patterns. Wheels do not cross between the two generations. Always confirm year before buying.
Are Scion wheels staggered?
No. Every Scion in our catalog ships square from the factory. The FR-S ships square. The tC, xB, xD, iA, iQ, iM, and xA all ship square. Aftermarket staggered builds exist on the FR-S as a styling choice because of the rear wheel drive layout but are rare on the rest of the lineup.
How do I find wheels for my specific Scion?
Pick your Scion model from the list above. Each model page covers the generations we have measured, with bolt pattern, offset window, and fitment specifics for each year range. If you are not sure which generation you have, our team can identify your exact configuration from your VIN.
