Audi Q8 Aftermarket Wheel Fitment

The Audi Q8 is Audi's flagship two-row luxury SUV, sold from 2019 forward on the 4M chassis. The Q8 sits on the MLB Evo chassis architecture, which Audi shares at the platform level with the Q7 4M, the Porsche Cayenne, the Volkswagen Touareg, the Bentley Bentayga, and the Lamborghini Urus. Same chassis architecture, but the wheel interface splits in two: Audi spec'd 5x112 / 66.56mm for the Q7 4M and Q8 (and SQ8 / RS Q8), while Porsche, Bentley, and Lamborghini spec'd 5x130 / 71.5-71.6mm for the Cayenne, Bentayga, and Urus. Wheels do not cross between the two camps. Every gas Q8 in our catalog runs 5x112 with a 66.56mm hub bore and M14x1.5 lug bolts. The lineup also now includes the Q8 E-Tron and Q8 E-Tron Sportback, the all-electric versions Audi launched for 2024. Same 5x112 bolt pattern and 66.56mm hub bore on the E-Tron, with a slightly smaller diameter window (20-22 inch vs 20-24 inch on the gas Q8) to handle the EV's added weight. The SQ8 and RS Q8 are tracked as separate hubs because they ship with larger brake packages and tighter offset windows than the base Q8.

Find Your Audi Q8 Variant

Pick your variant to see wheels and rims that fit. Bolt pattern is 5x112 with a 66.56mm hub bore across every Q8 in our catalog. What changes is the diameter window: the gas Q8 (2019 and up) takes 20 to 24 inch, the Q8 E-Tron and E-Tron Sportback take 20 to 22 inch. SQ8 and RS Q8 owners should use the dedicated hubs for those high-performance variants.

The Audi Q8 Bolt Pattern

Every Q8 in our catalog uses 5x112 with a 66.56mm hub bore and M14x1.5 lug bolts. Audi runs lug bolts on the Q8, not studs and nuts the way most American and Asian SUVs do. The lug bolt threads directly into the hub, the wheel sits between the head of the bolt and the hub face, and there is no lug stud to align the wheel before tightening. This makes a hub-centric fit more important on a Q8 than on a stud-and-nut SUV.

The Q8 lives on the MLB Evo chassis architecture, the VW Group's shared full-size luxury SUV platform. That architecture also carries the second-generation Audi Q7 (4M), the third-generation Porsche Cayenne, the current Volkswagen Touareg, the Bentley Bentayga, and the Lamborghini Urus. The wheel interface splits in two: the Q7 4M, Q8, SQ8, and RS Q8 run 5x112 with a 66.56mm hub bore. The Cayenne, Bentayga, Urus, and NA-market Touareg run 5x130 with a 71.5-71.6mm centerbore. Wheels do not cross between the two camps. A Q7 4M wheel bolts to the Q8 hub at the bolt-pattern level. A Cayenne, Bentayga, or Urus wheel does not. Compare against the rest of the Audi lineup at our Audi wheels and rims hub.

Why the Q8 Variant Determines Wheel Fit

The gas Q8 and the Q8 E-Tron share the same bolt pattern, hub bore, and lug spec, but the practical wheel window differs. The gas Q8 takes a 20 to 24 inch aftermarket diameter and runs a 10 to 11 inch width. The Q8 E-Tron tops at 22 inch and uses a slightly narrower 8.5 to 10.5 inch width because the EV carries more weight and we measure a more conservative diameter and offset window to protect ride quality and tire life. The Q8 is a square (non-staggered) fitment across the lineup. Quattro AWD is standard.

Routing for the high-performance variants. The SQ8 ships with the same 5x112 / 66.56mm base architecture but with a tighter offset window and a larger brake package. The RS Q8 adds carbon ceramic brakes as an option and ships with the widest stock fitment in the family. We track the SQ8 and RS Q8 as their own hubs because their fitment window does not match the base Q8. If you have an SQ8 or an RS Q8, use the dedicated SQ8 or RS Q8 wheel hub.

Element Wheels Measured Aftermarket Fitment, Audi Q8

  • Q8 E-Tron Sportback (2024 and up): 5x112 bolt pattern, 66.56mm hub bore, M14x1.5 lug bolts. Element aftermarket diameter range: 20 to 22 inch. Aftermarket width range: 8.5 to 10.5 inch. Coupe-roof body style sharing the E-Tron platform.

Offset windows are controlled per variant. For your exact aftermarket offset, three options:

  • 1. Use our Year/Make/Model search to see wheels that fit your specific Q8 (each listing shows its own offset).
  • 2. Browse the Q8 wheel gallery for real-life builds with size, offset, and tire spec captions.
  • 3. Call or chat with our team for a free fitment consultation.

How We Confirm Fitment on Audi Q8 Wheels

Element Wheels measures fitment on the platforms we sell wheels for, including every Q8 variant in our catalog. For the Q8 that means clearance from the wheel to the fender, gap between the back of the wheel and the suspension, brake caliper height, hub bore confirmation at 66.56mm, lug bolt seat depth, and the EV-specific weight load on the Q8 E-Tron. At our fitment facility in Chandler, Arizona, the Element Wheels team measures directly on the physical platforms we support. We don't pull specs from manufacturer sheets the way most retailers do.

Every wheel we recommend is backed by our Fitment Guarantee. If a wheel does not fit, we pick up the wheels and refund 100 percent. No risk to you.

Audi Q8 Wheels and Rims FAQ

What is the bolt pattern on an Audi Q8?

Every Q8 in our catalog runs 5x112 with a 66.56mm hub bore and M14x1.5 lug bolts. The pattern is the same on the gas Q8 (2019 and up) and the Q8 E-Tron (2024 and up). The same 5x112 / 66.56mm spec runs across the second-gen Audi Q7 (4M) and the rest of the Audi passenger-car family. The Q8 uses lug bolts, not studs and nuts.

Will Q7, Cayenne, Touareg, Bentayga, or Urus wheels fit my Q8?

Split answer because the MLB Evo chassis architecture uses two different wheel interfaces. The second-gen Q7 (4M) runs 5x112 with a 66.56mm hub bore, the same as the Q8. Those wheels bolt to the same hub, and offset and brake clearance still vary platform to platform. The third-gen Porsche Cayenne, the NA-market VW Touareg, the Bentley Bentayga, and the Lamborghini Urus all run 5x130 with a 71.5-71.6mm centerbore. That is a completely different bolt pattern from the Q8's 5x112 and the wheels do NOT cross. Same MLB Evo chassis architecture, two separate wheel interfaces. If you find an OEM Q7 4M or another Audi MLB Evo wheel, it bolts onto the Q8. Cayenne, Bentayga, and Urus wheels do not.

Does the Q8 E-Tron use the same wheels as the gas Q8?

Same bolt pattern (5x112), same hub bore (66.56mm), same lug spec (M14x1.5). What changes is the diameter and width window. The gas Q8 takes 20 to 24 inch in our catalog. The Q8 E-Tron tops at 22 inch and uses a slightly narrower 8.5 to 10.5 inch width because the EV is heavier (the battery pack adds roughly 1000 lb) and we measure a more conservative window to protect ride quality and tire life. A 24 inch gas-Q8 wheel will bolt onto an E-Tron, but the tire load index and ride character will not match what we recommend.

Are SQ8 and RS Q8 wheels the same as Q8 wheels?

Same 5x112 bolt pattern and same 66.56mm hub bore, but the SQ8 brake package is larger than the base Q8 and the RS Q8 ships with the biggest brake in the family (carbon ceramic optional). Both ship with tighter factory offset windows and wider wheels than the base Q8. SQ8 and RS Q8 OEM wheels will bolt onto a base Q8, but the offset and width are intended for those models' geometries. We track the SQ8 and RS Q8 as their own fitment hubs for this reason. If you have one, use the dedicated hub.

Are Audi Q8 wheels staggered?

Square is the default. The Q8 ships square (non-staggered) from the factory because Quattro AWD benefits from the same wheel and tire size on every corner, and the load distribution on a two-row luxury SUV does the same. Almost every aftermarket Q8 build also runs square. The RS Q8 is the variant where the catalog supports an optional staggered setup, but that lives on the dedicated RS Q8 hub.

What is the largest wheel I can fit on an Audi Q8?

Our measured aftermarket window tops at 24 inch on the gas Q8 (2019 and up) and 22 inch on the Q8 E-Tron and E-Tron Sportback. Above the measured window, tire sidewall thins enough that ride quality drops sharply on what is meant to be a luxury SUV. Most Q8 customers land at 22 inch on the gas car and 22 inch on the E-Tron. 24 inch is the upper limit on the gas Q8 with the right tire spec.

What is the lug spec on an Audi Q8?

The Q8 uses M14x1.5 lug bolts, the same spec as the rest of the modern Audi passenger-car family. Audi (and most of the VW Group, BMW, Mercedes, Porsche) builds luxury SUVs with lug bolts threaded directly into the hub instead of fixed studs with separate nuts. The bolt holds the wheel against the hub face with no stud to pre-align the wheel during mounting. Hub-centric fit matters more on lug-bolt SUVs because there is no stud to pre-align the wheel, so wheels with the correct 66.56mm centerbore are preferred.

Do I need hub centric rings on an Audi Q8?

Hub centric rings only when the aftermarket wheel has a centerbore larger than 66.56mm. If your fitment needs rings, they'll be included with the order.

Get Audi Q8 Wheels Right the First Time

Pick your variant above to see wheels and rims that fit. We measure the Q8 across the gas car, the Q8 E-Tron, and the E-Tron Sportback; cross to the Q7 4M only at the 5x112 / 66.56mm wheel interface (Cayenne, Touareg, Bentayga, and Urus share the chassis architecture but use a 5x130 wheel interface that does not cross); and route SQ8 and RS Q8 owners to the dedicated hubs to avoid mis-fits on brake clearance and offset. Find your fit and start enjoying your build sooner.
